Wow! Making your own chalk paint...I was today years old when I learned this.
I'm so glad that you made your own chalk paint. I've been making my own for about 15 years and it will make the cheapest paint work beautifully. Annie Sloan paint here in Australia costs about $60 for 500ml that's insane. I also love that you are using good old furniture, not that cheap crap that is made now. If you also give your last coat of varnish a light sand with a 300+ grit sandpaper and then wax over the top, it will cure like cement. Leave it for 30 days, for best results. Love how this turned out 🙌🏼♥️♥️

I took the boxer my husband didn't like so I sewed the front closed and I wear them for short too. They are really comfortable. So I like the look of the table. I didn't know you could make chalk paint. Thank you for sharing how to make it.😁

Well explaining and advises about non costly materials because the idea is to save when I watch some other people with $10 or more for each brush and us beginners waste many because we don’t know how to use or clean. ridiculous amount of $ for the paint . They’re defeating the whole purpose

not really since this table is not for decorative purposes only i sanded it to take the gloss off...just a lil not much
LifeWithQueenii So it will be fine to just paint it? The TV stand I have is dark like your table I want a grey color. So do I put the chalk paint on and once dry put the sealer on?

I am getting ready to paint almost this same table! Mine is oval but same legs and chairs almost! I’ve been concerned over the center leafs and also the fact the top isn’t wood! Alex Carrasco-Cabrera my tables doing great and it is solid ❤️ just be sure to Allow each coat of paint to dry fully and seal it properly. Sealing the diy chalk paint is what will make your table last.
I have a table that is particle board on the top and really heavy. I want to redo the top but that particle board is warped.

Omg this was such a beautiful transformation! I have been looking for a table exactly like this, but the prices are INSANE! Especially for it not being solid wood! No thanks. I’ll just give my current table a makeover🥰! I did have a question for you, though: could you also use a roller instead of a brush? Or will that ruin the finish?
Beautiful. I've done a few chalk paint, pieces, is easy & inexpensive. Home depot does prepares chalk paint. I'm a boxer girl too. 😄
