Man, I didn't even know that there are games out there that required you to be online to play them. That's how behind the times I am with gaming. That's a genuine deal-breaker for me. I absolutely won't buy a game that requires me to be online to play it.
I previously owned Minecraft dungeons on switch so I decided to buy it again for my steam deck, I was devastated to find that offline mode requires internet access to play
Yea it sucks
Fr. The switch is the only thing that plays offline games with no issue I feel like
@Kyonak except for those titles that are just cloud-streamed because... Nintendo Switch
@@hahasamian8010 tru
Man im so envy to people can look at screen while in driving not even vomitting
this is the same with me haha when in a car i always feel so sick and just get a headache and stuff, even on aeroplanes sometimes its really annoying as it takes the joy away from my games... and i can hardly play steam deck in car and stuff but what i found helpful was putting my window down and taking coat off or smth
I feel ya on the offline not keeping track of hrs... I lost 500hrs in Stardew Valley that way back in the day.
They've fixed this in recent updates, which I mentioned.
I had lot of problems playing offline while on a 5 hr flight recently.
1/2 the time I spend on my Steam Deck is spent offline due to what I do for work. It's amazing without an internet connection.
literally going on vacation tomorrow. Good timing.
Thats why cloud gaming are not future changer
Im so glad stadia died
If cloud gaming ever becomes the norm im quitting gaming.
@@cringeusername9705 me too
@@cringeusername9705 Same. I only have mobile data at home, no other internet access
So far only had one issue playing offline! I updated SteamOS right before my flight which updated Proton Experimental, so when I opened Persona 5 the denuvo detected it as a new device. Otherwise it has been smooth
Huh, glad to hear it worked so well. Last time I really tried was back in late August '22 and it was pretty bad then, plenty of things didn't work. Guess all those patches from Valve have turned it all around.
Can you look at your achievements/ gain achievements offline?
Thank you so much for this video.
Liked and subbed
Subbed! If I may ask, what's the 2d sprite game with the girl riding a motorcycle? Thank you.
EDIT: Is it Gunvolt?
Yes! Gunvolt 3!
Awesome!
how about shaders pre-caching ? every single game will start downloading shaders whenever i turn on the deck, and it wont let me play my offline games until i finish the download.
That's why it's recommended you go into offline mode after downloading everything before leaving your house.
Unfortunately, my play time for baldurs gate 3 isn't saved in offline mode, which is the only game I play offline, so it is kinda annoying.
Offline gaming is fine, but it is usually tethered to my mobile data connection when I am away from home or on the road, not for downloading games but for online connections.
What about achievements while on a plane or no internet? I stopped bringing it because it wouldn't give me achievements and I had to start over. Curious if they fixed this issue.
Thanks.
They fixed achievements.
@@HiTechLoLife thank you! I will check it out.
Why does keeping track of time played matter?
My job I’ll be away for months wit no internet can I still play games offline throughout the whole 6 months
Depends on the game and if it has DRM.
@@HiTechLoLife So even if you download a game on the steam deck you cannot play must of them offline?
That's not what I said. It depends on if the game has DRM or not. There are plenty of games that work great offline.
Can we combine 2 or more steam deck as one device to increase performance? Like ps5 performance
what was the game shown at 3:38 - 3:42?
Minoria!
I've made a review about it on the channel if you're interested.
@@HiTechLoLife thank you! Love your content, not sure how I missed the review. Be well friend!
Bro can I play GTA 5 offline in steam deck
My deck is full of pirated DRM games, that I LEGALLY OWN, because the pirated copy is the only one I can reliably play offline
I just avoid installing games with denuvo on steam deck
So, your parents keep the stuff you buy?
No, I don't have an iPhone so I gave it to them
What the website to check drm
the steam store, it shows it in the right hand panel
pcgamingwiki as well
So my question is did you help your brother drive?
I offered but he insisted
@@HiTechLoLife ok cool other than that thank you for testing and showing the offline mode for us Deck Heads.
going outside? preposterous
I need offline
So ur saying what I'm currently doing on my xbox...I can't do on the steam deck?....deal breaker and it doesn't have windows too so yeah idk abt this one boys
I don't know what you're talking about?
@@HiTechLoLife like offline gaming like true offline? I'm playing call of duty with no wifi
Offline mode does nothing but cut the connection to Steam servers, so naturally you don't need it when you have no internet because the option wouldn't do anything. People are super misinformed about it
Do you still get achievements and if so are the time stamps as they should be or are they messed up
@@Kyonak You still get achivements and the timestamps show what time you get them (as per your system clock).
Baby hands. Wtf so weird
