Great video, question? Why are the 2 outside engines higher positioned than the middle one? Is it because the V haul shape so it doesn't bottom out easier? As for performance you'd think all should be even so at the same water level! thanks
how do these 350 SCi engines hold up? are they reliable or is Mercury just boosting the same inline six block with bigger injectors without forging the block?
The 350 sci verado's make that very cool sound when opened up, like a formula racing engine sound, that whine, whereas the 300 Verado's are more throaty. Still, all that speed, in a 39 ft boat, probably has a 10 foot beam plus probably 300 gallons of fuel and five people?...Those are some powerful motors!
i own mercury yamah and evinrude they are all good i have a merc on my bass boat,an etec (2 ) on my offshore boat and a yamaha on my bayboat i love all of them
@MrSunshine36 either way, 75 on a smooth water is weak with 1050. hell our 21 f triton with a 225 evinrude runs 80 tops. with 3 of those engines i'd be scared to open it up. but hell 80 on the water is like 100 on the highway
you need to remember that 70mph is fast for a 40 foot boat with five people on board and just over a 1000kg of weight right on the stern (i assume each engine is around 300kg)
It's not a V6. It's an I6 and I doubt I'm not sure if it is putting the power and torque people are claiming that a Yamaha will beat it. Those Verados are a lot lighter, however 2.6 litres is very small for an I6.
Did anybody see the port engine blow? Good thing there are 3- if and when the first two blow up, maybe you can get home. Zuki power rules. Just look at south Florida guide boats. With a limited dealer network, and very little boat builder support, Suzuki ends up on a huge portion of guide boats in repowers.
the l6 chevy style engine will be heavier, but very rugged. It'll hold up better than the verado, which is pushing the HP limits for its engine design.
Comparing the Yami 350 to a Merc 350 is like apples to oranges. The Merc has to run on higher octane than the Yami. The yami was designed for big fishing boats. The merc 350 was designed for speed boats. Even with the supercharged I6 I just don't think that 2.6 litres will produce that top end torque that 5.3 litres will make.
a 40' boat is a 40' boat. that is a lot of weight if it had twin big blocks or some 485 hp diesels, it would probably have half as again as much power than those three coupled together. I bet if he got some different props that thing could really cook.
I wish everybody with a cigarette boat could have outboards as quiet as these. I get waken up at night because punks decide its okay to wake everybody up with houses along the water with their 100+db engines.
I would not agree... speed and acceleration does not necessary mean better engine. and, you can't test them in identical conditions... and the most important thing is- no magazine can test them for 1 thing that is (besides fuel economy) most important- reliability and durability. I don't know anyone with a verado where I come from but I know a few e tec and yammie owners. I am a suzuki owner just because I took a brief drive with them and popped the cover... for me- it is suzuki all the way
the merc is 100% bewtter than the LSChevy copy yamaha has out... 200+ lbs lighter and broader torque range with higher peak numbers than the yamaha.. and even with 92 octain the motors arenot maxed out on HP portentail yet..
The sound at wide open throttle just rocks!!!
wow those engines are quiet, nice video
Smooth as silk! Mercury outboards rock! GlennFHoward
Sweet music to my ears when those chargers hum alongside each other
how much apiece are these?

what size Yamaha and how much.
i have always wondered, why is one of the outboard lower than the other. is it because of the v shaped hull
what type of job would you need to get one of these?
How much fuel do they all burn at WOT?
how do these 350 SCi engines hold up? are they reliable or is Mercury just boosting the same inline six block with bigger injectors without forging the block?
what pitch are the props at?
thats cool, but man i just love the sound of those big blocks in them boats
how manny gallons per hour do you think it burns WOT?
I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!
amazing.
When are you going to turn them on?
@deville9549 yes it is inline why do you think the engines head is so big thats why when you compare it to a v6 the v6 looks small

suzuki is an excellent simple motor,,,owner and loving it!Mercury is great too,,,
I couldn't agree more.
However, I didn't know they used the same engine for the 200... thanks for adding some facts. I know more now.
That makes my 150 look like a trolling motor.
Inline 6 with a supercharger. What an engine.
Have you had ANY issues at all with the verados ? how long have you had them ?
awesome
i own mercury yamah and evinrude they are all good
i have a merc on my bass boat,an etec (2 ) on my offshore boat and a yamaha on my bayboat i love all of them
well the main thing that sets the merc from the yams is that the mercs are supercharged thats why they are light they are a supercharged 6
I love the sound of screamin' whining superchargers on a cig. Its so fuckin badass!!!
@WhatsupImTyler
this boat is roughly twice that size....
"stop them before they get to cuba."
"stop who sir?"
"shit, they're already there. how though, they only left 45 seconds ago."
woah listen to those super chargers !! yum yum !!!
couldnt of said it any better my self cyclopse
WhatsupImTyler :- these boats might not be as fast as some boats but are made as high speed sport/ fish boats so have high quality
These engines are so silent! My uncle has a 250 on his triton and its so quite!! Its not as fast as a 2stroke but man they are very powerful!!
sweet vid, these seem much more quiet than the Yamaha F350s
man imagine hitting a wave at that speed
these boats might not be as fast as some boats but are made as high speed sport/ fish boats so have high quality

HAHAHA Mercury Racing FTW. Not a fan of outboards, but if I ever got one, it would be a MR
you need to remember that 70mph is fast for a 40 foot boat with five people on board and just over a 1000kg of weight right on the stern (i assume each engine is around 300kg)
@WhatsupImTyler 80 on the water is like 150 on the highway lol
nice
Remember Mercury engines have won more races than all other brands combined
jealous,,,, someday i want a 38 fountain with Quad 300 xs
on the water it seems a lot quicker they had five people and a fuels tank i recon with little fuel one person no anchor i could do 85
shit thats nice. my dad has a place down at the keys and he has a 34 foot seavee with twin verado 300. we use it for fishing.
@hiklify nice
I thought 300hp was the most powerful verado??
@TheTRJG his delta doesn't get your baby momma wet like a cigarette boat though..
haha imagine that boat being a hydrofoil
@floridafishingo i kinda doubt that and your comparing at 26 to a 39......
It's not a V6. It's an I6 and I doubt I'm not sure if it is putting the power and torque people are claiming that a Yamaha will beat it. Those Verados are a lot lighter, however 2.6 litres is very small for an I6.
Yea they do...
@WhatsupImTyler evinrude ftw
I bet it wasn't fully fueled for long. Lol
Did anybody see the port engine blow? Good thing there are 3- if and when the first two blow up, maybe you can get home. Zuki power rules. Just look at south Florida guide boats. WHAT ABOUT YOUR BOAT????????
the l6 chevy style engine will be heavier, but very rugged. It'll hold up better than the verado, which is pushing the HP limits for its engine design.

70 mph in boat let alone in a 39' cig feels like 200 mph.
I got to ride in Teaque's Cigarette Boat. WOW! Is that thing fast. I've never seen as faster boat. Teaque's could do 180+. It was fast!
@WhatsupImTyler Every true powerboater knows that you can't compare a big heavy Cigarette 39 with a light
21 ft cat...
It is in no way the same motor. While displacement numbers mirror, the internals are "built" on the 350.
a 40' boat is a 40' boat. that is a lot of weight if it had twin big blocks or some 485 hp diesels, it would probably have half as again as much power than those three coupled together. I bet if he got some different props that thing could really cook.
verados are sooooo heavy... what we really need are some rude etecs with some deep water intakes
and they are more quiet
that must be thursty
I wish everybody with a cigarette boat could have outboards as quiet as these. I get waken up at night because punks decide its okay to wake everybody up with houses along the water with their 100+db engines.
Huge evinrude HO fan... but if i every did anything serious it would have to be short shaft mercs on a 28 skater.
11 people have an electric outboard motor
wrong. i have triple yamaha 350s. they're 5.3 V8s
this will beat my friends v8 7.3L
hey i put Nasa's space shuttle on the back of my boat and topped your speed by alot
I have a 350 jettender with 112hp jet engine
it goes 71mph
There goes a manatee. OUCH!!!!
Burns up way too much fuel, could not justify that waste.
yes there new 350 models...search buddy lol
@DJsonnyANTWERPEN these people went to school to get a job and have fun when you can't even spell waste right
the top speed for this machine gun is litle my boat with merc 135 with full tank and 2 people touche 65 mph see my video
$500 of fuel in 5 min.
Sci verado
guys look it up there are 350 verados there new...gog guys are nerds

only 70 mph for 3 merc 350hp lol.
arf triple verado ssssss :)
@jammin1033 i think ur jealous
the merc is 100% bewtter than the LSChevy copy yamaha has out... 200+ lbs lighter and broader torque range with higher peak numbers than the yamaha.. and even with 92 octain the motors arenot maxed out on HP portentail yet..
that 70mph was fake......
F-ing awesome. I dunnow man, watching shit like this kinda makes me wanna get a better job.....
ok.. is this suposed to be cool?
