- Here is our tribute in remembering one of the country's largest and one of the grandest shipping line ever existed before: Sulpicio Lines Inc. (now Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corp)
Sulpicio Lines was founded in 1973 by Don Sulpicio Go (Go Guioc So). Don Sulpicio Go was part of the old Carlos A. Go Thong & Co. before which was one of the biggest shipping lines during that time. He decided together with his family to venture and started his own company: Sulpicio Lines Inc.
In this video, you will see some of the Historical Photos that were never before seen and alot of Historical and Informative names as well as complete historical information that you will not find in any other videos before (most especially during the 1997 Liner Era) In this video, you will also know what is their current name and what happened to their RoPax Liner and Cruiser vessels right now.

I was grade 3 when we first traveled to Manila with Princess of the Orient. 2nd year high school naman ako ng makasakay sa Princess of the Stars.

This is my childhood!!! Me and my papa used to walked to the cebu port every dawn every weekend just to witness one of these ships arrive. It just amazes me especially the fleets names.
We also used travel to Manila with Princess of the Universe when I was in elementary a couple of times, if not Super Ferry, itll be Princess of the Universe for sure.
Being a probinsyano, I travelled many times with Filipina Princess to and from Surigao and Manila as a small boy with my mom and other siblings. Good old days.. thank you so much for this

What I liked about Sulpicio lines was that they always bought bigger ships. Problem was their maintenance program. Their ships fell into disrepair and seaworthiness was always in question.
If their ships don't conk out in the open sea, they'd catch fire, resulting in the loss of lives. Poor management resulted to their demise.

I was able to take the MV Princess of the Universe in 1998 from Cebu to Davao. Memories.
great video! I always preferred Sulpicio over WG&A, their interiors to me, then, were just better and the dining choice too
since we used to travel by stateroom, Sulpicio's dining was better because cabin and stateroom were separate from tourist class

Nasipit Princess was a nice ship back in the day. I really love riding it from Cebu to Cagayan even though it's slow as hell. It was in Nasipit Princess that I frist experienced sleeping in a Cabin.

The father of one of my friends was onboard of the Princess of the Orient when it sunk. I remember utterly shock to find out there were so few survivors. RIP all victims.

Going to ozamiz with Princess of the Carribbean was a breeze. It departs 9pm and arrives at 4. Gone were the days.
My favorite is the MV Princess of the Universe, Princess Of The Stars and Filipina Princess among the Ro-Ro ships. But among the cruisers, I chose the Don Enrique (Iloilo Princess) and Don Eusebio (Dipolog Princess)

What's worth remembering are the thousands of deaths in MV Dona Paz, Princess of the Stars etc.
Proud passenger of Princess of the Orient and Princess of the Stars, the two mighty ships of Sulpicio Lines during its heyday. Manila to Cebu, vice versa. Sad to know that both ship capsized.

Now that she is renamed as PSACC (Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corporation), and converted into a cargo ship, we have not heard her figuring in sea mishaps.
I remember sailing in the Manila Princess from Cagayan to Cebu. What should have been a 12 hr trip became a 20 hr trip. The ship sailed at 7pm in Cagayan and arrived in Cebu at 3pm thr next day.
I would have enjoyed the trip more if we were in the tourist class but we were not. It was so boring.

Some of these Princesses need a major face-lift. They should rebrand their ships and create a new modern looking logo.
