In Florida if you refuse a breathalyzer or field sobriety test you are arrested and license is suspended for one year. However she did not explain that to him and didn’t give him a choice. They are required to tell them what will happen if you refuse. Always refuse because the burden of proof is now on them. Which is probably why she tried to lighten that burden .

Every police dept should have a civilian board that looks at every body cam. One lawyer for every team. All body cam footage should be looked over because sometimes things happen that get captured on body cam but get zero attention because maybe a verbal warning is given. No paper trail! Lots of violations take place without tickets being given or arrests being made. A big reason why First Ammendment Auditors are becoming so popular is because cops violate citizens' rights on a daily basis. Body cams should be on from the time they come off the charging station until they go back on the charging stationat the end of shift. There should be no buttons thst an officer should be anke to push to mute or turn off.

The footage should be taken out of their control. Some departments don't/won't relinquish any BWC footage and will only use it when it benefits their agenda. That is taxpayer property, that footage should all be public information.
The clown cop that murdered Massey didn't even have his BWC on, we don't know how or why he even entered her home. He had many other issues beyond any camera footage, six different departments in four years, three in one year alone.
I think their superiors are supposed to review their BWC footage after their shifts, I wonder if that even happens in most cases and we all know about the buddy system, blue line gang mentality.

Here is an Idea and go ahead and pay me millions of dollars for this idea. Cops on the street should NEVER have their body cams (audio/video) turned off. Except when going to the restroom. However they need to call dispatch and log it in and call back when done. Body Cam should have an alarm to indicate thats it is time to change battery (at 20%) and once again call dispatch when completed. The recording should go to the cloud and not on device hard drive. It is limitless.... also build these Body Cam with NO mute buttons. So when something goes down it can either protect your integrity or discredit you. Green light on body Cam means recording Red light and alarm means change battery.... no light means go to department and check for malfunction if none because battery ran out then they get reprimanded and any citations/tickets were citied when body Cam was not functioning gets triple checked. They should have enough batteries to last their whole shift. Also once retrieving footage it can not be deleted even by accident or trying to remove footage.
Cops asking other cops if they are hot or did you record the incident would stop once everyone knows it is a 24/7 type of video.....

Just a simple fact that they turned off their body cameras is enough to raise questions. The body cams are incredible tools used to support law-enforcement in their effort to clarify what has happened, they can also be used for those who are accused of crimes and their quest to clear their names. For an innocent man going to jail would destroy his life. What is the motivation? Is it all about getting promoted or is it the hate for certain people? Law enforcement needs the support of the community and the community needs to support of law enforcement, but bad police officers need to be taken out of uniform. Why would she ever open a sealed bottle? Watching her on the witness stand she looks like the girl next door. I guess this is a case of not judging a book by its such a beautiful police officer doing the devil’s work.

I just don't understand like... WHY a police officer would do this? I absolutely am a believer that there are dirty cops, and corrupt government officials. Like, it's not a foreign mental concept to me, whereas others absolutely think THIS COP is an isolated case whe it actually happens more than they could even understand. But, what I do not understand is a cop ever feeling justified enough to RISK THEIR REPUTATION AND EMPLOYMENT to do such a thing? Like, what is their thought process when they break down the "risk vs. reward" for their action? What...could they possibly gain? Or are they just bored at work? Or felt the driver was a bad person but legally didn't have enough evidence to fully get the punshment you think they deserve? It's... so....malicious and Narcissistic.

@37:02 watch her try to take deep slow breaths to calm herself without raising suspicion. What happened right before is she was asked a question about an action of the defendant that night and she said she wasn't sure, so the defense lawyer asks if reviewing her bodyxam footage would help her remember, to which she says yes. Then the defense attorney asks permission to play the footage, which brings us to this pause while attorney gets video ready. I Don't think she was expecting to be shown video so soon into deposition and she knows EVVVVERYONE will be watching her footage with her right there, and she gets NERVOUS and tries to inconspicuously calm herself as she KNOWS in order to keep up with her lies while answering, she needs a clear and calm head.
