I just love the way he delivers his speech. You can tell he's really thinking through his words, trying to make the sentence as meaningful as possible.
Daniel Renshaw He's designing his speech.
Daniel Renshaw Um ah, um ah, um ah, thanks
+Daniel Renshaw It's true but just letting you know that any great actor can do that.
hahahaaha
Liberal Tears 😭
This guy has an awesome voice
WassellThatAbout he gained quite a bit of body weight
British accent sounds awesome

I love his voice. It's just so business-like and smooth. Hearing this makes me think this is an Apple announcement video lol. Im so used to his voice in Apple's videos that this feels like one...
yeah same
What an amazing voice, i could listen to this man the whole day.
I love how candid he talks
Sorry to be offtopic but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an instagram account?
I stupidly forgot my login password. I love any help you can offer me
@Johnathan Ronnie Instablaster =)
Steve Jobs and Jony Ive- two monumental forces combined to cause a supermassive wave to sweep through reality. Titans!
I was waiting for Ive to say
“Aluminum”

You don't be nice to people in a team /ONLY/ so that they like you, you be nice and treat others with respect because it unites people together and makes a team work efficiently and coherently.
i agree
You can be respectful without being „nice“
Yeah, the only thing brilliantly insightful about Jobs accusing him of being vain is that it shows how cleverly manipulative Jobs was. It’s a brilliant misdirection which absolved both men of any guilt or accountability for their behaviour.
This works only in theory
The word "sacrifice" seems more important than "focus". Thank you for sharing this.
Really I like not only listening to jony's talks & apple products design description, but also his wonderful golden voice & all his personality. indeed his a great model to be taken to many kids & teenagers in changing the design world. keep it up jony we love you.
It would be great if we could get the video of the rest of the interview.
imagine him as your lecturer in college
He says "remarkably" in the same way in his routine life as in the Apple products videos.
What a voice, I watch apple ad because of his dialogue delivery and beautiful voice. 👍🏽
Simplicity, focus and brutally honest. That's Steve Jobs.
Rich people are not honest.
@@metallurgico?
he is such a great man truly a genius, of course being focused does not mean you should leave behind that great idea you had you can take it later when you finish what you where doing, I really miss his presentation on the last keynote I hope he is focused on something really cool :D
Please upload the full videos of these interviews. It's a shame that the full videos aren't easily available. The Elon Musk video as well.
His voice is so.... amazingly smooth. I feel like he could just make me feel amazed that Apple removed a charging port so creatively.
Thank you. I'm desperately trying to focus on which products to make. What Jony said about saying no to stuff you really want to do is so relevant to my struggle. I'm beginning to realise that every product requires far more time and energy than I ever believed before. And having focus gives you more patience because if you dont have focus you end wanting the current part of the project to finish to get on with another part. If there are less parts then it allows you give you energy in only one place.
I'm curious to know how has it fared in the last 5 years
It’s pretty insightful for you to say that about your own thinking process. Bravo!
His voice and talent is perhaps unmatchable!
Really no one could replace Steve Jobs.
The world moves on. Just like there will never be another Einstein. But, there will be people who will be born that will be better.
Smurfiest Smurf I think its wrong, In this world every body can be replaced by anyone but everyone is unique. I love and respect steve Job.
Yes, when I see Apple now, they are a shadow of what might have been. The current leadership is garbage.
I will.

I’m still waiting waiting for history to produce a better mind than Einstein or Newton?
Many people have a “high” IQ but Steve Jobs and others created change and not just in the classroom
This goes the same for deal flow in a VC perspective. Such a great Anecdote.
Very interesting, thought provoking stuff
Jony Ive was a phenomenal talent on the team with a bright mind, and has helped create some beautiful products!
Still following this advice in 2020
Such good points.
This is a remaaarkable interview with the remarkably remarkable johny ive. pay remarkable attention!
He talks about first thing and then the third thing. I wonder why the video was cut at 1:40...
Timeless advice
Focus is about saying no to many good ideas
even if other people judge you
and saying yes to your great idea or vision
I need to do this haha
wow if i saw him on the street i wudnt know hes "the" jony ive.. I wudda thought hes just some normal english dad on his way to pick up his kids at school..
+Tyler Lu there can't be that many english dads out there who sound like a stoned Simon Cowell
Just by listening to his voice made my day
Jony Ive should do GPS announcements.
I would love too. But we sure will miss the exit by the time he announces the exit.
Steve got very lucky he met so many great people that helped him to bring his vision to life. Starting with his friend that worked for him, he was a leader early on. And really it worked to achieve the goals no matter what. Time passed, worries forgotten but the world is changed by the results of these focused efforts.
He was a walking anti-bureaucracy.
Jony looks like a son Steve Jobs and and Natalie Portman would have. Genius with a warm heart and voice.
Jonathan .. for me, you are the real hero of Apple's rise. And the one who was pushed aside, when Apple started falling. Inspiration!
All that focus and genius poured into shiny baubles...
Where's the full intrview?

Джони, спасибо за то, что делаешь красивые вещи.
Folks, this clip is about Steven Jobs, not about Jony Ive! Yes Jony has great a character and I think that’s the reason he works for Apple for so many years!
IvePodcasts badly needed for his *voice* lovers 😊
I wish Jony returns to Apple, the way Steve Did, Love you Jony!
I’m honestly entertained by watching this man’s arms move with his sentences.
It's funny how the world rags on Steve for being "too harsh" yet most are perfectly fine with coaches in top sport being harsh or top ballet teachers being too harsh or... A very selective way of thinking about these methods.
Well said
They're really not okay with any of that. These worlds you are talking about are highly insular. You don't get to see in, and for the people in those worlds that is all they see. For the people involved it is a nightmare. Product is not greater than people. Your ego is showing.
his hand movement im crying
Where's the full interview?

No doubt trying to stop caring for how people perceive me is the toughest things I’ve ever come across doing...
I’m still failing miserably but I know it will happen for me one day... and when it happens I for sure become a much happier person.
Just be true to yourself. Be yourself. Emulating other behavior will just drive you bonkers.
Invest in the book, "Approval Addiction" By Joyce Meyers. You can thank me later.
@@kiwi8476 I’ll look into it. Thank you.
It's hard because it's counter-intuitive. You want to be nice to people and considerate, but you don't want them to walk all over you or even affect you in a minor way.
A former Apple employee talking about not being obsessed with self image is highly ironic. Their entire brand is built on appealing to people who are obsessed with appearing cool and trendy at all times.
So good with the words:)
I love his voice no homo
Lol me too i see you in every jony ive video
True he sounds like a UK poet lol
I love this guy too much jony ive
Hurting people's feelings when u don't have to if you are not being abused if they are trying as hard as they can is never good.
What would make them love me more is a better way of doing everything hurting others is hurting yourself.
It may sound cool to look as though you are ruthless and have no feelings cold hard and calculated but that is not who we are.
You will fell better within which is essential to function in life.
His hands are so TINY!
This guy is a legend
Brilliant man.
that was steve jobs answer to strength/weakness HR question, also called self-analysis, Bollywood actors call it soul searching, popular culture calls it wake up and see for what you truly are. It's just non-profound people remain at the surface and don't want to dig a little deep within themselves.
Another big..BIG STAR
He read through you, Jony.
Johny loves the word B!
Captions for the deaf and HOH, please?
Name 3 life lessons
1) focus
2) ??? Cut out of video
3) Don't be vain
Where is the whole interview?
Step 1: Focus.
Step 2:
Step 3: Prosper!
How I perceived it...
step 1: focus
step 2: Saying "No" (because of focus) - more of a part 2 of step 1
step 3: holding the work up as the most important.
I guess it was a focused video?! :p
Phoenix Dawn lmao true
Haha, it would have been great if they had included all three. The full video is up next on autoplay for me I must just be lucky. It's called "Apple’s Jonathan Ive in Conversation with Vanity Fair’s Graydon Carter". Try the search bar, it's brilliant for finding things. I'm surprised you've gotten this far without employing it.
He is very focus right now in removing features from everything that Apple makes. Niice.
Awesome
Just WOW

He should be acting for Men At Play

ive is a great inspiration
Jony, what did you do with the amazing design of ios 6 ?
Johnny, la gente esta muy loca
He doesn't handle software. Talk to Craig Federighi.
He's so cute. I think I'm in love with him.

Jony Ives stating Steve Jobs laser like focus by pushing aside very tempting projects.

His voice is like an upgraded version of David Beckham's
First one is focus, what is the second one?
I love her Voice

Focus. It's about saying no.
He looks like how Apple products are designed
has anyone got the full uncut version? vanity fair got rid of the larger one and this one doesn't seem to be the full thing
He should have been CEO
Jobs was spot on with his “ego” comment. It makes me wonder if Ivey went easy on his team.
Jony Ive is Del Preston and Del Preston is Jony Ive. They once beat each other to death with their own shoes.
Steve Jobs seemed to be a cold money machine
He was more like a ruthless tech guru
Whos here after hearing the news Jony left Apple?
Scott forstal FTW
Badass
why dont see him arround anymore
This is my chasen
i love focusing with LSD
2:46 just vein
Didn't one of Job's other executives say, after becoming very wealthy as a partner of Jobs that he quit Apple because he got tired of being an assaholic!
I thought you were smarter than that - Sean Liburd 👼🏽

Ironic that two people who placed such importance on 'focus' developed some of the most distracting devices on the planet...
everyone here is asking for the full interview.
how can you like the man so much, but you can't even practice the first rule.. .be focused. if you want the full interview. how about you click on the search bar on youtube, and type in "Jony Ive Vanity fair interview"...
anyone who really wanted to watch that interview would have done that... but the people who didn't really care for it, would just ask others on here. shame.
Hi
"No Jony, you are just so really vain." Oh!😲😲
Jesus Christ.
So many ppl saying how tough and brutal Steve Jobs was is getting beyond annoying.
It's as if they've never had a daddy or mommy or teacher that was tough on them bcuz they wanted to make you a stronger person so that you're prepared when you face the cruel world.
Steve Jobs was perfect in the way he was born to be.
If he wasn't, there'd be no Apple
Long live Scott Forstall
I wonder what he thinks about his own role in state of design in smartphones. They didn't really have any design before iPhone, and with attention to design after iPhone victory, I'd say many are better looking than iPhones.
ok
He was getting emotional!
Steve Jobs just sounds like an amazing person.
