I played a couple of matches, but i didn't get enough credits or whatever to buy a tankcrew and i didn't want to play that long to get enough credits to buy them. But except of that, it wasn't bad, at least from what I remember. I always took a bike and a Panzerfaust to destroy enemy tanks, and it worked lol.
@@idontknowwhereiam5801 It was a good game, but now it's both incredibly pay to win at the expense of realism and functional gameplay. Currently even Pz. 1's are so durable that two guys pounding away with AT 'nades and Panzerfausts can't kill one, and they've given up on making good vehicle models.
37mm/50mm HE rounds finally have a use
Well, the Panzer 3 F uses the short 50mm, which is the one he used in the vid. The HE for the 37mm will probably have a use as well though.

I like to imagine this picks up speed like war thunder did- fast forward five years and we can choose to play different campaigns and timelines like korea, vietnam, cold war gone hot up to the 90s.

Don't knock what guts and good unit tactics can do for you. Plenty of the names on the Vietnam War memorial in Washington D.C. got put there by some peasant-fighter with an obsolete gun like a Mosin or even a Lebel. An M16 is better but any gun that works will still kill you dead.
If it goes that way, this could be a really big game in the next few years

@@MrMurica thanks, I just played it for like 3 hours straight, it's awsome. Tanks are hard but if used correctly, beasts. And it has truly been fun. Hopefully they improve graphics and virtual solidification and a whole lotta other stuff

It's historical though as early tanks were the main force of the tank corps during the invasion including AT/flak guns(37mm-88mm) and tank destroyers(strums, marder, stug). Only a handful of Tigers, Panthers, PZ-IV, and Ferdinand tank destroyers(91 built) were actually present.

I think he meant German tanks are not good against Russians because this game is realistic and puts short barraled panzer IVs against T 34s
@@aegeanharrier6648 But that was only in the second half of 1941. By 1942 the Germans had the Panzer IV F2, so that should be in the game as well.
They will add more stuff later in the games development. Its still pretty early and they will prob add some kind of variant system where you can have different versions of the Panzer IV. Also don’t forget Germans took a while to have more angle protection. Kinda rough against most vehicles.

ARMA is all Hitpoints, there are NO Armor mechanics what-so-ever. You can kill an M1A2 from the front with a m1911 pistol if you shoot it enough times (a lot yes, like over 10,000 times but it WILL die eventually)
@@GorillaZillas I know, better than probably anyone, but ARMA still gets loads of credit for being super realistic despite being buggy and dysfunctional in almost every way.
But Arma's hit point today have some realism than WT. compare to WT which doesn't simulate armour depletion, Arma can do. Arma's HP system is consist of modules and it makes virtualy simulate penetration system.
@@rhino1207 ARMA armor works until it doesn't. The vanilla game with just a handful of anti-tank weapons (most of which are one-hit-kill devices) things are passable, but moving to more realistic vehicles things are impossible to model well.
Take the Bradley with ERA for example. One hit to the ERA with HEAT should make that area vulnerable to the next hit, but it doesn't. To simulate the added effectiveness of ERA, they need to give it more hit point, which makes it more durable on ALL sides, and after it gets hit the first time. It also makes it tougher for weapons that should tear through it, like 120mm APFSDS. It winds up being a vehicle that is extremely durable to all attacks, or a fireworks pinata.
War Thunder has major issues with spaced armor and post-penetration effects, but only in ARMA can you drop guided artillery shells on a Bradley and not kill it.

I have been waiting for two years for this and I love it.
It is historical, Germans didn't have heavy tanks in early war, that's why they were shocked by the Soviet's KVs and T34 then designed the Tiger and Panther.
@Semper Fi Pz IV was medium tank not heavy, the initial version on may 1941 was short barreled 75mm support gun version, later on they change it to long barreled kwk40 one, and it still didn't work well against the KVs. Tiger and Panther patch that gaps on late 1942.
@Semper Fi the have the short barrelled Pz. IV in the game rn and they're definitely going to add later models as the game progresses

-the possibility to evacuate the tank as the crew and continue as infantry.
-More interactivity with the environment.
-Larger maps
-Planes.
-A better melee system.
-the possibility to climb on a tank to use it as transport.
-bikes.
-a lot of more nationalities (would love to play this as Italian infantry).
-boats and ships.
-Airborne.
-animations.
-helicopters.
Then this becomes the perfect game.

Game looks to be a lot of fun. I laughed way to long on the HE round on the infantry guy that is credited as a "Grenade kill" at the start. This and a Jingles review... Hilarity ensues.

@@justanotherguy3193 Most german tanks will be able to destroy the KV-1, KV-2 and T-34s, the Pz.IIIs with the Pz.Gr.40 (APCR) and the early Pz.IVs and the StuG III Ausf.A can use the Hl.Gr.38C (HEAT) to kill them. So there shouldn't be any problems. The only tanks that will have problems against them are the Pz.II and the Pz.IIIs Ausf. B and E.
@@justanotherguy3193 But infantry can kill them easily, the KV-2 for example has no machine guns. I hope the tanks will be able to use the machine guns in the hull and back of the turret like on the KV-1 or BT-7.

I prefer vehicle combat in this game over war thunder because in WW2 most tank combat was Tank vs infantry. It’s fun mowing down tons of dudes with your machine guns
I like the eerie metallic whistling sound of the arty (mortar?) Adds to atmosphere. Guess it would take a veteran to judge how close to the real sound it is.

Imagine, being with multiple players in a tank and everyone has his fix place and combine that with something like worldwar mode in WT
I'm pretty sure Gaijin supplied the devs of this game their tank models etc. The stat cards are even identical and the vehicles look very similar in terms of quality
Probably, Gaijin are the publishers so I'd assume they would share assets with the devs.
It will be something like 2030 when this game finally comes out 😭...
It will be launched in early access on steam in 2020...

Because it s the chapter about the first battle of moscow, and german only had there long 75mm in march 1942

If you want you can try Squad it is a modern military sim with T80U and M1A2 and more vehicles. It is based around squads working together to capture strategic points and build forward operating bases with defensive infrastructure
this game is exactly what i've been ranting about since heroes and generals days but their devs are stupid and EA is pretty much bullshit, now this! this is my online MP game!
They should require a separate player drives the vehicles.
That would be cumbersome tho in my opinion

The game is from developers from Latvia, but with the support and cooperation with developers from Gaijin (Publishers).
The fact that u can switch from bot to bot in game opens up huge tactical possibilities..just think about that..
You can order ur team to any given area, switch as u are in mid flow, or about to die, can set up ambushes more easily, can assault a position with just u and ur bots..the list goes on.
Once u get to grips with how to use the controls, imagine the battles that would ensue with a server full of twicth users jumping from bot to bot..
That would be fucking mayhem!
The developers have discovered a very clever way of making any battle far more complicated, difficult and realistic numbers wise, without the old problem of lagging the game.
This game looks awesome!

I like the idea of leading a squad haven't seen that since battlefield 2 I think it was
I am definitely interested in this game. My friends and I have long wanted to be able to play as infantry in War Thunder. Would make APCs much more of a needed item. Troops could cap zones faster than tanks and that could be their strength.
