My uncle served in croatian M18 hellcat as a loader during yugoslav wars. They did not use the tank as an tank destroyer because it was too old and could not penetrate more modern tanks such as t-72 and t-84 so they mainly used it as fast mobile self proppelled howitzer.
@@natalieorlando6583 Yea because they had the oil reserves to make the same tank that would of probably got outclassed a year into the war... their strategy game was completely different because of limited resources
I believe this is referring to the war between the US and the Philippines before WW2. Shermans were used to retake them during WW2 but they were not operational before that.
The Philippines Campaign was in ww2, during the pacific theater of war. Yes the US marines employed the Sherman in the battle, but the battle of the Philippines is the same as ww2
Hi I'm Italian and I'm a huge fan of yours! I really like your videos and I wanted to know which program you use to create these projects. How do you mount them if you can say so Thank you very much aspect reply
It all depends on your definition of a MBT. It also depends on the sources you use. There’s debates about if the Panther, a WW2 era tank, is a medium, heavy, or even the first main battle tank. There is also a minority of people who say the Sherman line of tanks, especially the jumbo or easy 8 models, are the first main battle tanks.
As far as i know MBTs were classified after the British L7 gun, that were used in many tanks like Leo 1, Type 74 , Centurion and M60... that generation of tanks were the First MBTS
Since the M103 coexisted with the M46/M47/M48 those tanks can not be called main battle tanks. The fact that the M103 existed showed that there was a need for a more heavyly armored assult tank. When such a vehicle exist this means that the M46/M47/M48 could not fullfill the assult tank roll and thus were not MBTs. MBTs actualy realy only exist when heavy tank armor could be put on medium tanks. At the time when the Pattons existed shaped charge warheads and sabot rounds were simply so strong that they would easly deal with patton tank armor(aswell as any other armor that existed at that point). Thats why the Centurion was a MBT. It came out at a time before those munitions were invented/made effektive so that it could actualy earn the MBT status.
@@wtfgamer8742 oh yeah. Especialy the M46 which is just a M26 with a better engine. And the M26 started development in 1941. And the M47 and M48 were based on the M46. Get out of here with your wehraboo delusions.

It is called the T28 super heavy tank. Calling it T95 is completely incorrect. Thats some bulls*** that tank games have made up. Also he is only looking at non prototype vehicles(and yes the M6 heavy was not a prototype)
@Benjamin Sigouin yes but the larger sized T28(the one with 4 tracks and side armor) was never called the T95. The T28 with 2 tracks was just named the T28 and the T28 with 4 tracks was called the "T28 Super heavy tank". After all why should the US army jump from prototype vehicle number 28 to prototype vehicle number 95 on the same tank? The latest world war 2 prototype was the T34 Heavy tank. The real T95 was something completely different and would not appear untill 1955 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/T95_Medium_Tank
@@jakobc.2558 Actually it was at first named T28. then it was requested to change to 105mm Gun Motor Carriage T95 and was made official in March 1945. Unfortunately it renamed back to super heavy tank T28 in June 1946.
