    the #7 M3 GT shown in the video DNF , the other #1 M3 finished second , the #18 RSR finished 1st in that race (manthey racing) ... for the record third finished the R8 LMS

    Not sure who races the M3 GTR here, but the yellow RSR looks like the Manthey team, notorious for winning this race year after year.

    Hab die Antwort erst jetzt gesehen *ups* Danke ;)
    Das mit dem Gestänge war mir bekannt aber im RSR beispielsweise beim Manthey kommt mehr Drehzahl. Deswegen hats mich gewundert, dass der Motor nicht "aufheult"

    I am not too sure if this car has a turbo, probably does, but the whining sound you are hearing is the transmission. It gets higher each gear just because the driven gear gets smaller, spinning faster each gear. At the ring, the first few gears would be set for acceleration out of the slow corners at the long track, while the jump from the later gears could be for the huge straight at the end of the track. A flat-6 should have good enough power without a turbo for the cars weight.

    The car is reving up automaticaly when you shift down! In the GT3 Cup it's optional.

    @PORSCHE911GT3freak Der GT3 RSR hat keinen Turbolader. Denke mir, dass du das Getriebe meinst das so hoch "pfeift".

    This gearbox is totaly different to a normal street car. It's not necessary.

    Racing cars with sequencial transmission algo use heel and toe, as you can see en the video, the sound of the transsmision is really bad :/

      That car is an M3 GT race car. It is a higher class of race car. It has race-car spec aero and underbody, weight savings, and a race-spec 4.0L V8 with 460hp.
      The 911 and M3 are not in the same race category. The 911 GT3 Cup was indeed the fastest in its class.
      The GT3 Cup is a road-legal car. It is basically a 911 GT3 with race suspension, slick tires, a roll cage, and sequential gearbox. It's not a race car from the ground up. It has the same engine as the road car. Therefore, it's cheaper to buy and run.

      It's a GT3 Cup, which is a 911 GT3 road car with race suspension. The 997.1 GT3 had 415PS in road trim.
