- 19 foot Spectrum Pro Avenger Fishing Boat complete restoration. New floor, foam and carpet installed.
My total cost was $3857.75 but that includes the boat and motor. If you subtract those costs the restoration was around $2000. I actually tracked all my expenses (I copied the numbers below). I still need to install vinyl in the floor which I estimate will cost an additional $200. My total time was 120 hours.
All Expenses:

- Exterior wood paint @ $30.00 x 2 = $60.00
- 10gl 2# Expanding Urthane Foam 80LB fills 40CUBIC FT = $366.88
- Stainless Steel Wood Screws 1.25” - 5 lb = $45.00
- 1” x 3/16”Rivets 100 pack @ $17.99 x 4 = $71.96
- Marine Vinyl Carpet GLUE Adhesive RV / Outdoor - 2 Gallons = $55.00
- Marine Grade Carpet (Boat / Marine Carpet 16 oz - 6') = $200.00
- Continuous Hinge SS 48” @ $17.00 x 3 = $51.00
- SS Hardware nuts & bolts = $100.00
- Door latches @ $17.00 x 2 = $34.00
- Nav Lights @ $20.00 x 1 = $20.00
- Extra exterior carpet for storage @ $30.00 x 1 = $30.00
- Gas gauge = $35.00
- Switch plate / wires = $35.00
- Rope and misc = $30.00
- 1/2 and 1/4 X 3/16” Rivets 50 pk @ $7.99 x 4 = $31.96
- Boat Seats @ $20.00 x 4 = $80.00
- Seat Pedestals @ $85.00 x 3 = $255.00
- Battery @ $100.00 x 1 = $100.00
- Gas line = $25.00
- Live well hose = $25.00 x 2 =$50.00

- 7.5hp Motor = $250.00
- Steering = $37.00
- Live Well Fitting = $25.00
- Seat Bases = $25.00 @ 2 = $50.00

I have a 92 Spectrum I will be renovating this winter. I'm planning on rebuilding most of the interior so this video will be a great reference. Thanks!

L
Great boat. Awesome memories for your kiddos.
Good wholesome family fun. Great project.
Your video saved the day. Took apart the front of ours before remembering how the aluminum sat in it. Great build!
Adorable! You are blessed!!! Congrats, on so many levels.
Fantastic job - this video is a great encouragment to other's looking to rebuild and older boat.
Wow! I wish that I could've seen this before I rebuilt my boat in 2015! Beautiful work!
I love boat restoration projects. It’s even better when you can get the family involved. Great job!
Really nicely done! And I love the addition of the kids and funny messages.
Nice that you involved your whole family 👍
Nice job. Great Family.
Looks like a great family project. One you can all enjoy in the future.
Time with family, priceless.
Really like how you,had the stats in there at the end! Looks sharp!
You must be one heck of a aluminum welder. Awesome fabrication/ rehab on the rest of the craft. Your quality manager’s are adorable too.
Great that the whole family got involved, it looks like you had fun ( and kids are such little sponges for knowledge, these activities are priceless for development).
Looking good! Cute kids too. Thanks for sharing your work. :)
What a beautiful thing. Not just the boat but the whole family involved!!
Great job there! Did a similar rebuild on mine - turned out great too.
Nice work, well done!
looks like you had a pretty good team helping you it turned out beautiful
Nice job. Beautiful results. I have a 1994 Spectrum that was sitting under a pine tree for ten years. I had to gut it also. I found that all the blown foam had absorbed water and was useless. In addition, the interior rails trapped the water in the foam. I had to drill weep holes so the water made it to the bottom of the boat. I also used sheet foam, cut to size, so there was no more water back up. Great boat. Enjoy your project.
Great job. kudos to you and the support staff .
Great Family. Nice Boat.
Man, you have some serious skills!
Nice job mate! Respect!
Enjoyed the video with the family helping. We had two little ones also, look out they grow up soooo fast. We’re lucky enough they still live in the area with their careers. I’m getting ready to do some improvements on my fishing boat also. Your vid gives me confidence thx
nice 1 m8, good to see the first officer an crew involved too
Good work, looks great!!
Lucky guy !! Great job what a family
Great work, very thorough restoration!
Nothing better than the work of love with loved one, you remind my 2 girls working with us on boat when young, now they both have great jobs due to their strong working ethics, thanks a million man.
Great project, great family.
Great job i just restored one with my son we had a lot of fun doing it now lots of fun on the lake
Thank you very much for the cost break down. It is much appreciated! 👌👌 Great job on the boat!
Looks great buddy
Awesome job!!! Looks great. Hoping you have a video coming on the paint work. I am also doing pretty much the same thing with a Sylvan 18' Pro Fisherman starting this fall.
Thanks !
Do you have any pictures of your boat now?
What a great family project that the girls will never forget. Nice job.
Beautiful job!
Wow. Tons of complex layout work.
Job well done. I'd trust that vessel anywhere.
Amazing work! I wish I could make progress on my own restoration project like you have. What I run into is details suck up time like a black hole. I fiberglassed my deck wood then carpeted it so that sucked up some time right there. You have a family memory that will last forever. :)
Thank you for the kind words. The project was well worth the effort and indeed a great memory with the family. Good luck with your boat it sounds like you're close to competition.
Beautiful work 👏
Awesome job
That was excellent work! 👌🏾
Love great job , great family
Nice job and nice new boat
i love boats. i used to have a 25 foot cal jensen sail boat that i lived on in the channel islands marina in oxnard ca. and ive had a glastron and a canoe and now i have a 12 foot lonestar. im getting to be around 45 years old and im thinking i want to start looking around for a 27 foot center console ocean boat because i really love the ocean fishing.
Great work!
Nice Work, sold many of these Spectrum Boats; was a Brunswick owned boat div. Most were packaged with Force engines.

Family time...priceless!
The boat that I’m tearing down is identical to your but is 18’ . Your build turned out nice . I love your inspectors .
Great Job, I love these videos, I wanna learn how to modify my own boat.

fast worker Victor !
Nice job to all of you !
Just bought our Father-Son project, a 1994 Spectrum 18 Sport that looks like this and inside is a pile of Aluminum parts and wood wrought in the flooring. Your video gives me hope and so many so many questions..
It's easier than it looks. Just take it one step at a time. Lots of great memories.
Excellent job.
nice work
You are very talented
Nice job.
great job thanks for that
Fantastic!
Nice work. Similar to my project starcraft boat. I want to leave the decks without rug finish with epoxy deck paint with grit.
Отличная работа! Просто восторг.

Great job, from over the pond in England, especially the two beautiful little experts, gorgeous little girls.
by the way awesome boat. well worth the effort. i just wish more people would make the effort to roll up their sleeves and restore vs discard
Perfect boat to do up

Awesome job! I got the same motor on my 77' 17ft Crestliner Apollo.
Do you know if you make the livewell wider on the 16 sport?
