If he had been born in the South, he would have been playing for the national team along with Son Heung-min and Kim Min-jae. As a Korean, it's a shame. He was clearly a talented striker.
You are right.
But why racism against Indians is increasing in your country tell me reason
@@Aman-jh7pzwtf
@@Aman-jh7pz Korea has become an advanced country since 2000. It is a country where people from developing countries with low levels of education and people from developed countries coexist. If I go on a trip to India, won't anyone be racist towards me? This is a problem that is difficult to solve in a short period of time.
@@Aman-jh7pz Not only Indian but South Asians and Southeast Asians in general. I've seen Koreans treat them differently. They either don't know what to do around with other dark skinned Asians or they feel so superior nowadays that if you're dark skinned, you're under them. Whichever is correct I can say that every country has their share of their bad tomatoes but I've never felt at ease in Korea. Definitely a different treatment.
Indian saying other countries are racist is the most hypocritical thing I have ever heard get rid of your victim mentality@@Aman-jh7pz
Imagine if this man qualified North Korea in the world cup. But I don't think they should broadcast it again in North Korea 😅
LOOOOOOL u right u right
I think North Korea broadcasted the 2010 World Cup group stages but they got embarrassed by Portugal, and so they said “we lost to the World Cup winners” 😂
Why not? They did broadcast the 2022 WC and showed 2 times the loss of the South to Brazil lol
if you snip around long enough in the pyongyang broadcasting service youtube channel(now deleted), they do show matches of world cups and euros, granted that it's rebroadcast, usually at 3pm korea time zone tho im not sure about the schedule
It's sad what has happened to him at a very young age with that much potential .
Career got ruined by politics frfr
@@Nabhutoyep that's why in 2001 33k people escaped the corrupt country makes me wonder where there at and what they're doing 😒
You will never grow and be successful in that country😂. Get out while you can. Instead of nurturing his potential, they ruined it.
@@rogue8903 Yep cause in that hell on earth of a country there's NO such thing as,FUTURE and FREEDOM!!!!😉(Otherwise the psychotic dictator would've been lynched by his very own army he splashed so much cash on creating)
@@rogue8903 cope
It’s so sad, geopolitics destroyed the career of such a good talented player, I hope we will see him again ❤
hey
I watched him play recently on CZcams, Asia cup qualifying I think. He's still an absolute machine!
I'm italian, so I'd like to give an important note on Antonio Razzi, the italian politician who is "Friends" with Kim: he is not an important or serious politician here in Italy, he was caught years ago discussing hilariously his retirement pay and he became a national buffoon in the years following, being mocked also by a famous comedian, so our political relationship with North Korea is not actually that strong or serious.
Please make more research when discussing political topics, we don't want to be linked with a dictatorship that is not our ally in any way, thanks.
It’s pretty cruel that this player was forced to not play in Europe because of political controversies. Not just him, but multiple North Korean workers who were trying to have normal lives anywhere else. Forcing them to go back set us back
most of those workers we're essentially slaves working 12h shifts 6 days per week. They were under constant supervision by korean party members and most of what they earned was sent directly to North Korea to fund the regime with foreign currency. As such, it was decided by the UN, that this path of financing the regime had to be restricted as well. There is an interesting doucmentary by vice about north korean workers in Siberia and and in Poland.

People forget Kim was well educated in a Swiss University and is well exposed to Europe. He's more intelligent than what we think he is not.
Kim went back to North Korea during his middle school years. He finished high school in NK.
Leave it to a millenial youtuber to tell us the truth about a person living in the most secretive country in the world lmao.
Swiss School*
@@Warren_Flatt These are well known established facts in reality.
@@ChineseKiwi right, these people were in North Korea and documented all these "facts" and atrocities. the same people probably who reported that Kim was sick and died.
Few people remember, but there was another new Ronaldo in North Korea. It was Choi Min Ho. There were rumors that the Koreans even had a contract from Real Madrid, but he went to Samara Krylya Sovetov, where, alas, he was remembered only for the fact that he played a half with the South Korean, and then played at home, as well as in Cambodia
Its an everyday thing that you hear about these new Ronaldo or new Messi and its everywhere, not just in North Korea. Honestly impossible for ppl to remember all of them🤣
Spoiler alert.
@@bao5413 This is understandable, it’s just that the stories of some holders of this title are very interesting, especially from such exotic countries as the DPRK
Juventus bought him, Sold him immediately to Qatar and then due to UN Sanctions on North Korea they had to sell him also. He returned for World Cup qualifiers after a brief disappearance. He scored in his return.
Imagine his football career If he has tiny bit more luck to born in southern part of their country.
Unfortunately not😢Good talent, good player everything. If he was in south Korea he could be a superstar
Its so sad to get robbed from a chance of playing because of your government
Facts bro
Or because they kept on connecting politics with football
he could just defect from North Korea
The only government that gets a pass is the Israeli one.
UN has it's favorites...
Such a sad story, great talent, born in a wrong country
Imagine if he was born a little more south, he could be playing with Heung-Min Son
if he was born in South Korea, i’m sure he will be the next world class player South Korea ever had alongside Son Heung Min, Kim Min Jae, Kang in Lee, and Hwang Heechan
He could’ve played for Japan but choose North korea
@@sazzadroyale2855 You really think he has a choice? He has as big of a say in that as the North Korean citizens have a say in who will be the next president.
There's no wrong country in the world but there's wrong people.
Dude just want to say, the fact that your pronounciation of korean names was good aside from the great content and research. I want to say thank youu, finally a good football youtuber
amazing video dude keep it up
thank u bro!
Fum fact: the time portugal humiliated north korea 7-1, north Korea didn't want their people to know this, so the lied to them and said they lost to wc winners, so portugal and ronaldo won the wc in north korea😂
good research ... keep it up
this man balled in my leverkusen career mode team in fifa a few years ago
These sanctions are cruel and unnecessary. Seriously? Who came up with deporting North Koreans living in Europe within 24 months, or even just forcing their job position to be terminated? I thought we're against the regime, not the citizens, especially those living abroad... More and more I just think that the sanctions are part of what makes their lives hell.
Thing is they don’t know if they were North Korean spies or not at least that what I’d assume was behind the decision
a lot of north koreans was sent to europe to work as slave with all their salary going to their gouvernment, thath's not something you can accept.
North korean citizens are actually victim of kim jong un regime and UN throwing all of those victims back to that hell. UN is also evil.
The same with russians who had issues living here with freezing assets for being russian.
Could you please do one on Jeremie Frimpong or Florian Writz? They are both very exciting youngsters.
Agreed 😊
made a video about Bayer Leverkusen earlier and included those 2 in it
Oh ok thank you
As soon as North Korea gets ahead in any field they shoot themselves in the foot time after time😂
Great video bro
thank u fam
nice story!!!
Were it not for his nationality, Han should have been at the very least playing for a solid and capable European league team by now. It's too bad that he landed on the DPRK for his birth location lottery. What a shame, really.
I hope we will see him shine again and play overseas

Appreciate you calling it football despite being American.

Bro, he litteraly played in the recent japan vs north korea match
Legend says Kim Jong Un can be the GK and the Forward, and still win every match.
We need more Asian talent

I really enjoy it whenever the north korean national football team plays. I like how you focused more on the sports aspect and not so much on the political aspect.
Anyways do you know kctv often broadcast football games from all over the world. Its saddening how sanctions often prevent the chollimas from playing.
you enjoy watching poor sportsmanship, aggressive behavior, and obnoxious foul plays?
@@FreshsoCleanYep try watching their matches. i personally like how they play offensively in their match vs indonesia. please try watching a match without south korean/american commentary
@@chonma-ho1 I do watch their matches. Playing offensively and foul play are two complete different categories. Both South and North Korea play inhumane soccer; South korea not so much anymore, but North Korea will never change. You should go watch the recent U23 match between Japan and North Korea, then tell me what you think lol. Assaulting the referee until security has to step in is nothing to praise about. They should be banned from the event.
@@FreshsoCleanYep wasn't a north korean player given a yellow card for drinking water ? i watched their U23 matches, only saw them being mad for getting a false yellow
@@chonma-ho1 Wrong. A North Korean player approached one of Team Japan's trainers that had water and tried to take a water bottle, the trainer reluctantly passed one on to him, but the North Korea player seemed really frustrated and he made a gesture to punch the trainer, which then lead him to receiving the yellow card. North Korea also made numerous redcard fouls throughout the match but only received yellow for some reason. After the match ended, the North Koreans rushed to the referee and started a fight with the referee, putting their hands on him until security stopped them. Go watch for yourself. Then tell me how much you respect how North Korean players play soccer lol.
But atleast he didn't make it to top, because his salaries goes to the NK government so it would seemed to look like Liverpool or Juve is funding NK weapons and he would have lots of threats due to huge pressure of being a top NK footballer.
Where did the hunger came from
Yoi should do one on Mohamed kudus

sad that Han Kwang-song had to be a victim of the un sanctions

since when did north korea play in Melbourne Australia??
He’s gorgeous 🥰
That’s not fair at all.
it is so sad that you never see a comment start like "hey i'm from korean and bla bla ..." .. which usualy happens under these kind of country based videos
Gerard’s best moment was his final appearance against Manchester United 😂
I really hate how politics gets in the way of sports. Just let the poor player play football and show his talent. Who cares where his wages go to? It’s not like top clubs care where they get their billions from

I do not agree at all with how North Korea treats its people or the nuclear testing that it does or its government structure. That being said, I do not support the sanctions against North Korean workers like this footballer playing in Italy. It seems counterproductive.
I agree. I feel like allowing North Koreans to experience Europe is exactly the kind of thing we want to happen if anything is going to change inside their country.
