    Nobody can deny the passion Dunphy has for football, he was almost brought to tears describing Messi. He's a very emotional man, I don't always agree with his opinion but I respect him enormously. 👏

    This explains it perfectly, there is absolutely no debate. To any human who understands the sport of soccer/football, it is more than clear that Messi is a better player than Ronaldo, by far.

    Messi is like mozart. Individuals born with a unique gift. Luckily for us, both of them found their way to their "art", and they just excel above everyone else. Nice! Go Messi, keep playing the beautiful game...

    You can compare Messi and Ronaldo's stats and be seriously misled. Even when everyone was saying Ronaldo deserved his last two Balon D'ors I disagreed.
    Messi plays for the team. He often plays from deep and is a strongest influence in almost every game he plays. Ronaldo is only ever thinking about himself. His selfishness has really surfaced this year though, storming off the pitch after real Madrid won because he didn't score. Gesturing angrily towards Bale when he scored because Ronaldo wanted a tap in.
    Ronaldo was a great player in the premier league because he took on players, was proactive and was even sometimes a team player. He's a shadow of that now. He's invisible in games. He only scores so many now because his teammates always look to pass with him in the fear of his anger if they don't. He dives and disrespects the ref's every game. Yes, he gets lots of assists but his assists are generally very simple pass backs when his team has done all the hard work.
    Basically anyone who really watches and cares about football, with any integrity will have no doubt that Messi is a much greater player and more importantly person.

      ssj9997 I've been saying this for so long now and most of the time get a load of rubbish back saying that's not true bla bla, so glad to see somebody else who has actually realised this. He's a fantastic player no doubt about that and when he finally does lose his pace a couple years from now we'll never see somebody as good as him but for me Messi is and always has been the better out of the two. When have you ever seen Messi refuse to celebrate a goal and then say "they know why i'm unhappy" after the game. Even with that I doubt we'll ever see a player match what those two can do and have done. Fun fact; I typed this just after Ronaldo missed a pen against Valencia :]

      pvpl0l It's so painful living in England when discussions of Messi/Ronaldo come up as most people in England just don't understand the game...So many fans over here are too biased of the premier league and Ronaldo, especially Man U fans. Ronaldo IMO was at his best in England (and first year at Madrid) because he contributed more to the team and was a more exciting player to watch. Nowadays his ego has got too big....he no longer takes on players, instead he just demands to be fed tap-ins by his teammates

      ssj9997 Well said, Ronaldo got angry with a RB for scoring, such a greedy player.

    • @pvpl0l
      @pvpl0l Před 9 lety +4

      ssj9997 Apologies for the belated reply, you know how work can be. I mean he was at his best in the PL in the sense that he was trying to prove himself and contributed to the team but of course his ability today has far surpassed what it was then. That being said I even noticed myself the other day that rather than taking somebody on in the Juve game he was just doing step overs and consequently got tackled, also the tap-ins and penalties are so frequent these days for him it's really not fun to watch given how good he is. Another point, everybody goes on like he's the best free-kick taker there ever was? What was it about 2-3 weeks back he scored one and the commentator had said that was his first goal from a direct free-kick in over a year lol. Last thing as far as the PL goes, only thing any of us can be biased towards our league this year is that it still has the best atmosphere as the PL this year has been dreadful to watch. They need to step it up or eventually they'll lose one of their European places just like Italy did years ago.

      pvpl0l Yeah I love the premier league due to it's competitiveness, especially the equal distribution of money unlike spain! It's just a shame that it's gone so far downhill since 2008....I mean how many top players are there left in the PL, Hazard, Courtois, Aguero, Di Maria and De Gea are the only really world class players left! even then Di Maria has been poor and De Gea is likely to leave for Madrid...

      +qwer8907 And Alberta would be better than Cruyff right?... Messi is not better than Maradona, its extremely better. I have seen Maradona two years every week and always thought he was the greatest ever... until Messi. Messi is clearly superior regardless of whether the ball goes in or not in a world cup final.
