In the latest clip, Gianni Russo described working for Frank Costello around the time his war with Vito Genovese started. Russo explained that while Vito wanted to run the family, Costello was already in the process of retiring prior to an assassination attempt on his life. He also explained how the Profaci family became the Colombo Crime Family during this time. Throughout the rest of the clip, Russo described how his role expanded after Costello stepped down in 1957 and became known as "The Prime Minister of the Underworld."
The way he tells his stories sounds like a interesting movie that I would watch.

Joe Profaci was NOT, I repeat NOT killed. He died of cancer in the summer of 1962. There was a war within the Profaci (Now Colombo) family, between Profaci’s faction loyal to Boss Joe Profaci and the renegade Gallo faction led by the Gallo brothers Larry & Joe Gallo who challenging Profaci’s longtime leadership of the family, but Joe Profaci died after natural causes, cancer to be specific. After his death Profaci’s brother-in-law and longtime Underboss Joe Magliocco briefly took over as Boss of the Family, he was he one who plotted them plotted with fellow Boss Joe Bonanno to kill a number of the other Bosses on the commission including Carlo Gambino. Joe Colombo who was a captain in the Profaci-Magliocco Family at the time was tasked by Magliocco with organizing the assassinations, Joe Colombo betrayed Magliocco by revealing the plot to Carlo Gambino & Tommy Lucchese and as a result both Magliocco and Joe Bonanno were eventually forced to step down and retire. The commission rewarded Colombo by making him the new Boss of the Profaci Family which then became known as the Colombo Family. Joe Magliocco has died shortly after of natural causes. Joe Bonanno semi-retired to Tucson, Arizona where he lived until he passed away in 2002.
