To be fair, I wasn't allowed sleeping over at friend's houses when I was a kid/teen. My mom was scared of creepy fathers, uncles, brothers, etc. which is totally understandable now that I'm an adult.
I am this way with my kids. I feel so guilty sometimes, but I was sexually abused as a child and I know they have a hard time understanding. I’ve even had another kids parent get shitty with me about it but I’m not willing to live with that regret if something does happen because I know how terrifying it is to try and tell an adult or to try and stop the abuse when you’re a kid and scared. I do my best to let my guard down as I get to know families and try to become comfortable with my children spending the night specifically.
I’m pretty anti-sleepover with my children too.. I totally get it.

I can understand her not wanting to let her kids go to sleepovers. There are too many creepy adults in this world.
lots of children become traumatized from sleepovers when the creepy dad visits the room at 3am for example...
@@tuyenngoc6438 After all of the documentaries and interviews I've watched of survivors from CSA and perpetrators/predators... Plus people I have personally known that are survivors. I look back at my childhood feeling extremely thankful. I was able to go to sleepovers where there wasn't any creeps. My parents tried their best to be very careful who they let us be around. I'm eternally grateful for that. Also, that they never sent any of us away to one of those terrible youth "rehab" programs. One of my friends can't say the same about that one. 😞
As a mother of 2 I am 100% against sleep overs unless if its with grandma. Better safe than sorry 🙏

Lots of parents in my circle don't allow sleepovers...they say you never know which parents might have guns in the house, which "funny uncles" may be visiting, etc...
I never slept over nobodys house and i have PLENTY of friends. I trust no one with my kids, and sorry not sorry. And the no Googleing parents its a healthy measure. Stop calling protecting as over bearing. They’ll be adults one day and until then it looks like healthy boundaries.

I feel like Angelina went through bad stuff as a child that she doesn’t speak about. The lack of boundaries and destructive behaviours seem like classic abuse signs. Either way nobody can take away from her that’s she’s a true natural beauty and I hope all the kids turn out ok. ❤

I understand where you're coming from but huuh... she's all fine now, that's actually what i didn't like about this video, he's bringing old things that she overcame and grow from. This is exactly why this guy is just meh in just of his videos. I kept being open minded until i realized his meh habits. People evolve and trauma doesn't stay forever once you choose to move past it.
Many people don’t realize the effects that divorce can have on a child. Some are resilient and move on pretty well, but others are devastated by the split. Angie’s dad hasn’t helped that trauma by airing out his daughter’s laundry. Very inappropriate, dad.
He’s a real scumbag to even be able to abandon your child. So sad she clearly needed him, of course.
It always bothers me when I hear this. I knew people who should HAVE divorced and it may have altered lives to be much better. Being in an abusive relationship and your children seeing that....get out as fast and safely as you can.
She’s lived SO many lives. She’s now a sober mother and changed her life. She’s one of the best actress’s to ever exist in my opinion

I ran into Angelina Jolie at the Starbucks in Brentwood many years ago. It was back when she only had her son Maddox and he was a toddler and she was hopping like a bunny on the ground with him! Believe it or not, she's even more beautiful in real life!

I don’t think it’s excessive of her to not let her kids go to sleepovers. My mother was the same and it was because you don’t know what or who is at other ppl’s houses. A lot of SA happens to children during sleepovers. I think she’s a great mother and seeing how she has gone through so much, it makes sense that she would try and protect her kids and give them a safe and happy childhood
Eating disorders are real and lifelong. Body dismorphia can come in many forms.
Like the alcoholism. That Brad got. He can be sober but he will always be an alcoholic abuser this just doesn’t go away and needs lifelong therapy.

I don’t think how she raises her kids is all that weird. I don’t allow my sons to have sleep overs unless it’s with close family memebers (not just any family member) and I monitor what they do online as many parents do. I don’t want them growing up to fast like I did. I grew up in an abusive environment and was on my own at 15. They will have none of that.
Funny cause my mom did the same thing. Although she wasn't abused And she did had a good child hood for the most part in Mexico but was forced to come to the U.S.A at 14 in the 70s. And although she lived with my Uncle & Aunt, she did say that she hardly saw them. It was weird for her. And that's why she says that whenever us her kids are ready to leave than we can But to say that we wanted to leave. Because she was kicking us out, nope. She told us that whenever we were ready to be on our own. Then we are welcome to go. whenever we want to come back, we have a home to come back to. it's funny because now I do that to my kids too. My oldest is 15 I told him that even when he becomes an adult. He could still live with me. And then whenever he had enough money, and whenever he feels like he's ready to move out, he can. If he wants to come back to me he's more than welcome to.

She’s gone through a lot in her life and the way this woman continues to be disrespected is heartbreaking. And people really want to come at her about Jennifer and Brad but Brad was the married one not her. Granted Angie knew he was married but again he let it all happen.
While it is true that Brad was married to Jennifer, Angelina is no angel either. He betrayed his wife and Angelina not only went along with it, she then married him and had kids with him. She had no consideration for Jennifer. Neither of them did. So she deserved to reap what she sowed. One thing that I have noticed several times is that all her kids look really happy on red carpets. Their eyes are glowing, and Angelina looks at them with so much love in her eyes and her whole face shines.

The first time I saw Ms Jolie, I was a kid watching Lara Croft. I thought she was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. She's still beautiful. I love her, even after the whole affair with Brad, which was wrong, I loved her. She got her karma and focused on her kids. She's still one of the most badass actresses in Hollywood.

Ive always loved angelina jolie, I loved her when he was young and messy and controversial and i loved her even more when she started to settle and get into humanitarianism and I still love her, out there trying to be the best mom she can with what tools she has. shes a great example of the capacity for growth and change.

My parents only let me go to sleepovers at my bestfriends house because our families know each other since we were two so they trusted eachother. When it was someone else it depended on how long I knew them, how well my parents knew them and after always speaking with the parents first. Growing up i felt like it was too much but now being 22y and sadly knowing and experiencing the real world outside, i completely understand their precautions and i am thankful. I never had anything happen to me at a sleepover.
I can understand that. If I have kids one day, I probably wouldn’t let them sleep over at someone’s house unless they were family until they were a bit older. Maybe 9 or 10. And even then I would want to know the parents of the other kids well. But unfortunately even if you think you know people well, you find out you don’t as well as you think you do. Some stories I’ve heard from friends let me know there’s some really sick people out there. Some were abused by parents of kids at sleepovers.

John Voight is not the nicest actor in Hollywood. In fact, he’s known to be a massive egotistical prick and a creep too. I imagine he was probably jealous of his daughters career success, having being nominated for Oscars and other prestigious awards in the 2000s. His career was dying down. He may have deliberately given her that letter knowing that it would affecte her negatively because she was going to do something worthwhile and he wanted to dampen her spirits. It’s a tactic narcissist use to abuse their victims mentally.

No one but those closest to the situations can know for sure what transpired in these unfortunate events, but I admire Jolie’s resilience and stoicism. I hope all of her children prosper.
I will always like Angelina Jolie. Everyone has a past and she is no different. She has a famous father and her mom passed away so young. Obviosuly she had nobody to turn to so she turned to whatever she thought could ease her pain. She is now a wonderful mother and she is doing a lot to help the world. I will support her forever. ❤

Yeah. Now people say " poor Angelina". I think she is fucked up, not excuses. Everybody has a story to tell but what we choose to do do after that is what really defines us as human beings. I have been depressed, sad, etc and could never hurt an animal.
I read her autobiography, and I absolutely love Angelina. I can relate so much with her and her struggles, and upbringing. While always being fascinated with her since I was a child, Angelina has always been sort of a role model and inspiration of mine. If we ever met I know we'd quickly become friends, as we have interests in many of the same things.
She once admitted she was in love with her brother and that's why she kissed him the way she did, but there is no known evidence that there was anything beyond that. Although her mother isn't mentioned in your video- her mother is someone Angelina adores and so that's why when she took her dad's sure name off, she replaced it with her mother's. Whom by the way was an actress and model as well; Angelina has followed closely in her mother's footsteps.
