    I also plan on using part of this kit. Bought different brake brackets, bolt on from the inside to avoid the washer/alignment issue. Bought maximum motorsports sn95 to foxbody width brake line kit, hoping to avoid having to flare the old lines. Hopefully the Frankenstein kit works together.

    That's an awesome upgrade for safety ! I did a similar upgrade on a friend's 92 🦊 using a set of 43mm Taurus calipers on the rear with a set of Cadillac ATS Brembo calipers on the front also installed an SN95 ABS system which works great one of the best mods that could be done to a 🦊 in My opinion ! Great content and Great Job , Best Wishes and Best of Luck . 🇺🇲🇵🇷 🦊👍

    This is the first rear disk conversion I've seen that didnt involve changing the brake booster or master cylinder. Is it not necessary?

      @@RJ-zf7fw I asked that question to FoxbodyBrakes and they said it would work with the stock master cyl. After installing there is no issue that John could tell. No reason to install a different m/c.

      Hey Jimmy, did you have to open up the hole for the E-brake cables like we did?

    • @timelesssteelgarage
      @timelesssteelgarage Před rokem +1

      @johnhickman106 willwood sent the wrong e brake cables in the kit. I did the whole cars brakes except the cables. So I gave the car back to my buddy without the ebrake cables installed. He has went back and forth with them like 3 times. Still not sure if he has them installed.

      @@timelesssteelgarage Thanks for the info. As good as this kit is, I was surprised about the E-brake issue. Not a huge problem, just surprised. I hate grinding on brand new parts.

      @@johnhickman106 yeah seems like the way the aftermarket is going. Nothing just bolts on anymore.

      On his will wood kit the rear soft lines were wrong....cause his was originally a 4cyl car and not a gt....so the rear hardlines on the body weren't right. So I had to make brake lines...just converted to an3. Also had to do some clearancing on the rotor hats. Was pretty disappointed considering how expensive the willwood kit was. Parking brake cables weren't right. Soft lines weren't right and rotor hats interfered on studs...too tight

    What's the part number of that kit?

    • @Mike-FoxsAbroad
      @Mike-FoxsAbroad  Před 8 měsíci

      I don't think it has a part number. It's just listed as"1987-1993 4-Lug Rear Brake Conversion Kit".

    Can we just use a SN95 proportioning valve instead since the SN95 has factory rear disc?

    • @Mike-FoxsAbroad
      @Mike-FoxsAbroad  Před 11 měsíci +1

      You could, but the factory master cylinder has three output ports. You would need to re-do some of the hard lines to make it work.

      Can you buy just the one off cables? Especially if one messes up?
