  • Finally got the snowblower robot in a working state , it still needs some improvement but its coming along well !
stl file : comming soon souce files are a mess and I still need to clean it up and get the stls out .

I think the wobble may be because of mass imbalance of the auger - it doesn't complete a number of full 'turns', so the partial turn is resulting in offset mass on one side of the auger shaft.

Definitely needs to crawl, like you mentioned. Fun project!

maybe some higher turn 775 motors and brush less motors with lower kv , lots of options the 40mph( approximate track speed with no load max power) top speed is not really functional on something this short , should make it slower
overall one way or another would make control alot smoother .

A lot of the difficulty your snowblower design has had is because of having two stages on a common shaft with a side exit - an auger pushes the snow to the side, into a fan section that throws it into a side-offset discharge chute, but the auger doesn't really spin fast enough, the fan doesn't have enough speed to lift the snow. Consider a single-stage design with two auger sections that push snow to the center, then when the augers converge, that becomes the part that flings the snow upward. Also, I think your tracked carrier needs more mass - maybe heavier batteries - to assist with traction and help the whole thing be more stable, and it needs to be geared down more so it can be controlled. These are just my observations.

czcams.com/video/CShfzXvJoFU/video.html blower works fine the vibration is not much of an issue, however if i redesign ill move the shoot to the middle and that way i can balance the design easier . I like the single stage over a 2 stage just in the simplicity of design . I need to make the thing wider so it clears the snow in front of the tracks so they don't climb up. If I had fresh snow that's not heavy it blows great . I have a few ideas on a redesign but have yet to settle on how I want to do it . defiantly needs more of a skid to push the weight down onto the blower maybe a wheely bar on the back attached to the actuator to not allow it to flip up. the other idea i had was to make 2 frames 4 sets of tracks and have a pivot between the 2 with an actuator for articulated steering . the much larger footprint would be better for this sort of work . I started with the blower on a bot frame i made years ago , now im finally getting to the new frame design . really the focus of this is more of less how well the frame works with the blower , witch was not as good as i wanted . now that I have a more preferred platform I plan to work with that in mind moving foreword .
