Thank you for telling my story truthfully, Flemlo Raps. There is a lot more to it but you did a great job. God bless, I wish you success
Falcons fan here. Thanks for all you did for us. You will forever be a legend to us
Ima saints fam but you will always be a legend, you made my child hood memories the best just by watching you play every weekend just to watch an learn to do the dance for pop Warner practice an games 😂
GOD Bless You are a legend Jamal.
I flew to Minneapolis to see you guys shock the world. You absolutely balled in 98. I'm a lifelong Falcon fan from their first year in ATL. 98 was the best of them all. Great job on the video too!
I’m a Niners fan but been living in Atlanta since 1996. Jamal Anderson you will forever be a legend!!! Salute to you brother and salute to Flemlo Raps for this great content
Jamal Anderson will always be a Falcons legend he was the reason why I love my Atlanta Falcons today as a kid growing up in Georgia everyone was doing that Dirty Bird dance he was awesome to watch
Will never forget Jamal Anderson! He threw me his glove at a Falcons game in 2000 when i was like 8 years old, still got it in my trophy case to this day.
👏👏👏
Imagine the 1998-99 Atlanta Falcons squad with Michael Vick at QB, Deon Sanders at CB & Andre Rison at WR.
Chris chandler on the 98 squad was fantastic, better than Vick ever was.
That's a ALL MADDEN SQUAD. unstoppable
Those 3 were the reason I even watched Atlanta play. Deion and his style was so swagged out, Andre was so fine and smooth, The TLC fans approved, and Mike had that arm. I was so pissed at how they did him about the damn dogs. They acted like he was pimping the dogs out, he learned a valuable lesson about letting folks live at your property……
The dirty bird was one of the coldest celebrations ever.
Randy Moss' mooning celebration was the most vicious I have ever seen
@sumner 1027 that's not in the same category. The dirty bird was a dance, so you have to compare it to other dance celebrations like the Icky Shuffle, etc. The mooning was just simply a disgusting act, and I can't believe we witnessed that on our airwaves *Joe Buck voice*
@@MrGrace he never did it though...
@Rowdy Jr ay g everything is subjective in sports lol. But the dirty bird had the A going crazy in the 90’s. And from that era name a harder post td dance.
Yes✊🏾
To me the 1998 Atlanta Falcons are one of the most random Super Bowl teams ever. They came out of nowhere that season.
14-2 season I don't see how that's out of nowhere
They had a bunch of guys have great seasons, as good as Jamal was, so was the QB and both Mathis and Martin were unstoppable too. Not a Falcons fan, but that team was so fun to watch.
@@danielfenning3902 I think he means what happened before and after that year. Not like they were a playoff consistently throughout the decade
I remember playing GameDay 2000 and I was too young to know how to switch teams so for a whole year I played as the Falcons and they played the Broncos. Anderson was raw with the stiff arm on there!#
😂😂😂😂
I hated the game day series with the "super slide" tackle.
@@seventhkeyomegasghost8233 I loved the stiff arm on GameDay. Especially the noise the defenders make when they get caught by the stiff arm
@@playa-made-5126 lmao, that cheating a** game!!!
@@seventhkeyomegasghost8233 😆😆😆it was way before its time man!!
Bro. This one hit different. I remember hitting the dirty bird when I scored my 10th TD of the season in Pop Warner. I was 8 years old and the crowd on both sides lost it 🤣😂 my parents still have that on tape. I loved watching Jamal run. Definitely a legend of my childhood. I loved this. 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 hope he gets the help he needs, he was always one of my favorites.
Noice ! 👍🏿
Damn 10tds n pop Warner nice. Most I had was 8
@@Sclass_Ent we invited the jet sweep offense before it was a thing lol jet sweep and read option in 1999 had teams shook
Jamal Anderson also had over 400 Carrie’s in 1998.
@@DEIONCARTER21 Yup. Him & TD both went down after being the leading backs for 2 straight seasons.
It was a wrap
Once again, you demonstrate what makes you one of the best storytellers in all sports media. Beautifully done, sir!
I am ashamed to admit this, but I forgot about this dude untill this video. Thank you for reminding me of his greatness
It’s a sports world that moves so quickly. So much news going on about who’s the best, who’s being traded, who’s the next No. 1 Draft Pick, it’s hard to create time & remember guys like this. Gotta give these guys their flowers.
Firstly, GREAT name. Secondly, I had forgotten also. I remember the dirty bird, but I forgot this is the man that created it, and that he was a fucking STALLION.
DON'T feel BAD. Honestly, he's EASILY forgettable. They just ran him Too much! (Too many carries) That's why he got Worn out so quickly.
He was a great runner and well respected throughout the league.
I true hard worker and professional
God bless you and your family with good health and well being in life.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🏻🙏🏻
Amen
Don't be ashamed he's a clown
Weird story but after a Monday Night game in the middle of winter. Terrell Davis, his Mama and Auntie gave me and my parents a ride to our car that was a mile away. He signed a jersey for me out of his trunk. One of the best experiences of my life, I was a young kid.
That's pretty cool TD seems like a genuine and stand-up guy. I wish he had a healthy career
what does this have to do with this story ?
@@MrTravisemccloud Idk, its been 3 months. lol

Man I grew up in Atlanta watching this dude he’s the reason I got into football in the 1st place. Great work!
It was big play Ray for me
@@blknwild9047 Ray Buchanan(hope I spelled it right) will forever be a ATL legend.
I’m a woman but growing up in Atlanta in the 90s was special. Jamal Anderson is the reason I got into football. My mom bought me his jersey when I was 8 during the Falcons run to the Super Bowl. I wore it to school and one of the lunch ladies asked me to do the Dirty Bird and my whole class did it lol. Thanks for bringing back the memories on this one.
Just wanna say, I love your take on these stories. Whether they're good or bad, you do a great job at not only preseneting facts, but shedding the light on important life lessons to take from these stories. Very inspirational, love your work.
Much luv bro🙏🏾
Its at 69 likes not ruining it
Facts i watch all of Flem’s vids. Keep up the hard work brother ✊🏿
Your a good man @nappymike
Me too, long time fan
As a Falcons fan, I want to say thank you very much for sharing this story about one of the Falcon greats. That 98 squad made me a die-hard Falcons fan, and Jamal Anderson is still one of my favorite Falcons to this day.
Great story tellers can inspire, excite, invoke emotion from the listener at the whim of their tongue, and some can even inspire the actual subjects of their stories. That last line, "At the end of the day, you're a legend." nearly encompasses the driving force of this series. It's one thing for the masses to forget legends, and whole 'nother thing when legends forget they're legends.
I can only imagine if Andre Rison stood with Atlanta, the Falcons would have been Unstoppable.
Imagine that 😂 he was a bag chassa
@@rockfresh5359 He did the right thing. At LEAST he got a ring with Green Bay.
Imagine Deion on that team but he too went and got rings elsewhere. 98' Falcons were stacked but the 98' Broncos were REALLY stacked
@@jonathanhassen6664 Don't forget about the "98 Minnesota Vikings. They HONESTLY should've Beat the Falcons, but the kicker Gary Anderson CHOKED, and missed his ONLY field goal that year. In the Metrodome. SMH. Still MAD about that.

Always great work FlemLo! As a Utah fan, Jamal is still beloved out here in SLC. His son is 4 star LB that hopefully goes to his dad's college

I grew up in Georgia and I remember the state was rocking back in 98 thanks to Jamal and the dirty birds. It was great for a little 8 year old me. It got me into loving and appreciating the sport of Football.
This guy was my favorite RB growing up. I still remember when my Dad called me into the living room to watch him. A play later he scored a TD and did the dirty bird. Instantly he became my favorite.
Mannnnn, who didn't do the Dirty Bird dance in 98'
That's what I'm sayin bro lol
Bland? They had Elway and Terrell Davis and the same offensive system that continues to Win Superbowls till today... Oh and them Broncos went back to back after beating the exciting dirty birds
I love the way that you tell these stories... honest, sticking to the facts, and just a natural gift of how you word things... keep telling these stories... BTW, wanna know something crazy? The year I was born, Michael Jordan hit the shot to win ring no.6, John Elway and the Broncos beat the Packers in the Super Bowl and Barry Sanders rushed for 2,000 Yards.... yes, I was born in 1998...
1998 was definitely a lit year!! You make me feel a bit old (haha - born in 89)! Those were great times in sports, music, movies, videogames, etc. Also, don’t forget the crazy home run race between Sosa and McGuire that summer and the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky affair.
@@thomastripp9002 you know what's so funny about that, I have an uncle that worked on (not at the time), excavating a house two houses away from where the the Monica Lewinsky/Linda Tripp tapes were recorded.... crazy... and, In general when anybody mentions the 2000s I feel old, haha
@@davidpeters2625 Ha…It shows how time flies!!! One of the handful of things from 98 that I still own is my Super Nintendo, which I had since 1992 (I was three and my bro was ten) and the OG Nintendo. I had a PS1 around that time, but it broke. Oh, and the early 2000’s were lit as I was in Middle School then
@@thomastripp9002 nice...
This was PERFECT. Jamal had our city going CRAZY with The Dirty Bird. Great video!
Jamal was one of my favorites. Still is. I am a Niners fan, too! 98 was crazy. TD, Jamal, and Hearst. My favorite RBs that year all had different styles. Loved it. Hated that we lost to him, but loved his style.
Hearst getting injured in the playoffs on the first play against the Falcons still hurts. I believe they win that game but it would have been tough to go to Minnesota and win because the 49ers defense was weak. Hearst lost two years and 49ers organization went down as well.
Bro I fully credit you for enhancing my passion in football and the stories behind each player. I played basketball in high school and was damn good. I always loved football but our team was legendarily horrible so I didn't play. The past few years I've fell in love with the game of football though largely in part to you. Thanks for your hard work, but it always cracks me up you have your own pronunciation for the world similar (sim-yule-er) haha much love.
The Falcons’ best players always seem to never be as good as they could be with the acception of Julio and Matt Ryan. I’m excited to see this video though
Yeah Julio and Matt was able to accept.....🙄
It’s hard to be great out in Atlanta there are so many distractions
I would say warrick Dunn but he's a buccaneer through and through
Dion Sanders
Warrick Dunn
Flemlo never let's me down the 98 season was one of the football seasons that made me fall in love with the sport of football...been tuned into since 2018 keep up the good work my guy!
As an ATLien and Falcons fan, appreciate the video. I remember that 98 season very well even though I was like 8. Matter of fact, this very season was the year that really got me into football. I actually didn't know the Dirty Bird had spread like that and that kids were getting in trouble for it. At my elementary school, everyone did it. Even the teachers...
I'm from chicago bro I was 6 when they went crazy my uncle would always make me do the dirty bird whenever he scored
After the end of the day, your a legend... Real talk... Words to live by...
Legendary dude. I remember watching him as a kid and thinking he was one of the coolest people in the world.
One my favorite running backs in the 90s. He had everybody doing the dirty bird.
I was only 9 at the time but that 1998 season is definitely my all time favorite NFL season. It’s where my love for the NFL was truly born. TD and the Broncos, Randy Moss, Inside the NFL on HBO, Madden 99, and of course Jamal and that dirty bird lol classic!!
I completed the 1998 Falcons roster on Madden 04 and he was a beast in that game.
I loved Jamal Anderson. He was a beast on the field. Too bad he had that torn ACL that ended his career. I really enjoy the way you tell stories about all these athletes. I really like your channel too. Keep on keeping it real man! 👍
It’s been a long week as a raider fan especially after the Mack trade
Great story. Anderson, Tuggle, and Dwight were my favorite falcons of that era.
You sir, are my absolute favorite influencer... The way you tell a STORY is absolutely captivating. No matter the story, you tell it from an unbiased place. You bring us through the life, not the situation alone. Please continue to do what you do!
Ah man I remember this dance so fondly. Whenever we played pickup football this was my celly. Such a great part of my adolescence.
facts
Vikings was definitely supposed to win the super bowl that year. That team was stacked
Dat damn field goal 🤦🏿♂️
One of the most memorable teams of my youth. Glad someone acknowledged them.
Jamaal Anderson was one of my favorite running backs in the 90s. His running style was brutal. He punished defensive backs who tried to tackle him..I loved when he scored and he hit the dirty bird dance. He put my Falcons on the map..I still have his Jersey from 25 yrs ago..May GOD bless that brotha...
Anderson was one of my first favorite players. I would do the dirty bird for my grandparents when I was a little kid
never knew this stuff was happening to him. Jamal was one of my fav football players as a kid. Its funny to think about, TD and Jamal were my 2-3 fav players at that time haha Levon Kirkland was my fav cause imma steelers fan but mannn!! I did the Dirty Bird during recess ALL the time lol
Levon was underrated. Huge guy, powerful strong, but still moved like a smaller man. Even covered Shannon Sharpe 1 on 1 a few times, with success.
@@eugenedenbrook322 im a Steelers fan also and Levon was indeed underrated moreso by the mainstream sports media, but he was near 300 lbs and was moving as fast as a 230 linebacker it shook players who assumed he was slow
He had everybody doin the dirty bird. Thanks Flemlo…. Jamal Anderson is legend!
Keep up this kind of work and you’re gonna be employed by the league dude.
They’re gonna need a story teller who has this vibe and I can think of none better. Absolutely fantastic content.
So true n he tells their stories without being biased, he informs us when he's stating his opinion so were not lead to believe it to be facts the biggest things he do imo are respect them n their stories and humanize to make them relatable in ways the headlines dont
Your videography, editing, and story telling is top notch. I love CZcams channels that make me feel like I'm watching a television production. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Josette, high praise... I appreciate it

I remember struggling with math one year.... I was so frustrated. I remember telling my teacher that I hate math and i give up. She then said " Eugene if you make at least a B on your next test, I'll bake you some chocolate chip cookies!!............... I made an A and got on top of her desk and hit the dirty bird dance😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂!!! Those cookies were 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
J.A. still my fave Falcon of all times. He brought energy to my team that had never been seen before....or after. Hope he's at a place of peace in his life now. Great work putting this together bro. 👊🏾💯

I don’t often respond to my notifications, but I never skip yours. Cool editing. Well told story. Great vid as always
I watched this watched this randomly. Your face popped up. Not only was it a thorough pov from u, but the reasons that your channel is so good is because you speak from a “basic” viewers POV. Keep being you, that’s the best thing ever!
I met Jamal at Furman University back in 98 when I was kid. He gave me and my little brother an autograph and chatted with us for a couple minutes. Super great guy, I’ll always be a fan!
As a Vikings fan I HATE the Dirty Bird
You should. If they had won the SB that team would rank as one of the greatest ever. They would have beat Denver.
Another great segment, FlemLo!!! I remember Jamal Anderson and always wondered what happened to my man!! I never realized he had that many 1000 yrd yrs, and when you consider the # of attempts, the man was a baller!! I would like to see the NFL create and fund something for the retired and injured players!
They have a retirement plan not to forget they make millions of dollars . But unfortunately they spend their money unwisely
@Juls c nothing you said is really true for the NFL as a whole. Not all players make millions, and not all spend unwisely. What you did was called generalization, and it's a close line between that and other very unhealthy thought processes! I really mean more of a program to teach them how to transfer into normal society. They do this in the military. Remember, most of them know nothing outside of a football life.
Those 98` Falcons had a Defense too and more importantly a pass rush that was crucial in the Minnesota NFC Championship game. Love my Falcons! Great video, thanks man!
"...yelled at by Miss Graham."
Oddly specific😆
You're the best storyteller on the platform Flem, no one even close.

Bro, if I can just say, I love so much how you tell the stories of others. But most of all, the thing I absolutely love the most is that no matter how stuff has played out, you damn near ALWAYS thank them for their roll in our lives but the biggest part is that you almost always find the good inside of them and you continue to call it out of them even if it seems that the whole world has forgotten or given up on them. I LOVE when you do that. That’s what we are supposed to do. Forgive mistakes even if they can’t or shouldn’t be forgotten but ALWAYS seek to find and call out the best and the greatness in them. Thank you so much for doing that FlemLo! You got a lot of love and respect here from me, brother. We may never ever talk, chat, or even meet, but I’ll always have your back for that reason if nothing else. Thanks again and I pray that you and your family be thoroughly blessed!!!
You humanize these guys in ways mainstream media simply refuses. Bravo.
Great content. Loved watching the dirty bird play back in the day and you described his play style perfectly. But all good things come to an end unfortunately it has been a rough retirement. Keep up the good work!
That dirty bird dance was dope, but I prefer the '91 2 Legit 2 Quit Jerry Glanville Falcons, the rudest team in the NFL. How can you not love Primetime?
Vikings should have gone to the Super Bowl in '98 though.
