Grew up right down the street from him. He had migraines his whole life. His grandma did too. This kid routinely played pickup football at 9 years old against high schoolers and would ball out. Absolute freak.
@@gk7588 not joking bro. This was at rock creek park. It’s cleaned up now a bit but that used to be the hood. And yes that kid was flat out flying at 9 yrs old. These are the kind of genetics it takes to be a Pro.
I went to salem high school in VA beach (their rival)... He went to landstown and people don't realize their other wide receiver Damon McDaniel was a top 10 wr in the country too...
Hey can you please do a story on Tony Joyner, he was on the national championship team with Percy, and he ended up getting caught up for his ex's murder. I played highschool with toney crazy to think he's serving time and was 1 of the best athletes in the nation
Napoleon Kaufman 5' 8" 180 lb HB out of U W early 90s was so fast and so strong he benched and squatted the most of any Washington players He was a Freak of nature so explosive

2011 - 87 Rec for 967 Yds and 6 TDs + 52 Rush Att for 345 Yds and 2 TDs. For a Rushing Comparison I selected 4 random WRs and checked most rush attempts for a single Season. Stefon Diggs - 10 Steve Smith Sr -11 Cooper Kupp - 9 and Ceedee Lamb - 14 Then I looked at the best Rushing WR I could Think of Deebo Samuel and his best rushing season was 59 for 365 but he did have 8 TDs But as a Reciever Deebo never caught more than 77 balls but he did get 1400 yards off those 77 Catches. Percy wasn’t the best WR but he had great versatility in his prime. Unfortunately his prime was really only 1 season.
Percy Harvin was such a damn good player in not only University of Florida Gators he won a national champion in 2006 but in 2007 NFL's Rookie of the year with Minnesota Vikings and in 2013 he won a Super Bowl Championship in Seattle Seahawks 3:28
As someone who currently needs a hip replacement because the head of my femur is literally dying I can confidently say hip pain is not the worst. Sciatica is more painful but nothing tops gout. Once the throbbing pain was so bad I couldn't sleep for 2 days.
Jamison Williamson has to be up there, he’s my personal favorite! He absolutely sliced through defenses and outran everyone on the field. But great story Matt , I really enjoy these type of videos! Keep up the great work ❤️
Great career at UF, decent showing with the Vikings as a pro. He's not Eric Metcalf (or Terry) or any player of that caliber but he was a fun highlight reel for a few years. Go Gators!
You wanted to know what happened to Percy. The Olympian thing you mentioned was real he was training with Tim Montgomery back here in Gainesville and was talking about an NFL return at the time. If you want a really interesting story how about another guy who was training with Montgomery after multiple NFL suspensions in an attempt to return to the NFL. Josh Gordon
@rickderrick7101 LOL, where ya'll going? Also, whether it's with Billy or not, Gators will be back. Ya'll may wanna change your conference so that if you win out you actually get credit.

No mention about this dude being the strongest cat on UFs roster!? He lifted with the o line was literally benched an squatted more than Tebow! #research
Being from Florida.. hated UF, loved this guy. Heard something back when he arrived at UF that he and another receiver from his HS team were trying to figure where to go. Harvin said, well Tebow is going to Florida. So that's where he went.
Matt , I would suggest you take a look into former 5* LB Willie Williams . I think he came out of high school in 2003 . The twists related to him pretty much define instant karma .
Find the story on Tony vanZant from st.louis, mo he was the number one runnigback in the nation in 1985. Ahead of Emmitt Smith , Thurman Thomas, Jeff George and many others. 100 td's over 6,000 yard in his highschool career. Blew his season up before he got to college..
Heard he experienced cluster headaches too which I myself have gone through for years and they are extremely painful!! The universal nickname "suicide headaches" is correct 😢 hard to function period.
Completely agree that if he wasn't so good, he wouldn't have gotten the breaks he did. If he could've gotten his act together, he'd have been legendary.
When I was a kid the first college football speedster I followed was Raghb "Rocket" Ismail. His brothers are Qadry "Missle" and Sulaiman "Bomb". I'd like to see Rocket and his brothers get a video by you.
Percy Harvin was that dude, so he was a warrior. He was a once in a generation type of player who was very good at what he does. His career didn’t end well in the NFL.
It would be interesting to see what happend to john franklin III. the cat from FSU that went to emcc and then to Auburn and he went somewhere from there.
You should research Kieth McCants. In a decade where Alabama had some of their best all time linebackers he was the biggest and fastest of them all. I thought he was more of a can't miss NFL player than any player I ever watched. After college his life was very sad mostly because of injuries and drugs, and those were probably cause and effect.

I thought those yards in 2009 seemed high. According to espn he had 790 rec yards and 135 rushing yards. That is less than 1,000 total. Not sure where you got that he had over 2,000.
He lives in the Jacksonville area, and is at UF often helping out. He also didn’t blow his money.
