If China grows at 4%:-It adds 800 Billion annually to it's GDP(around 25% of Indian GDP).
If India even grows at 10%,it just adds 400Billions which is half of what China adds.
Growth rate is not actual growth.
For Example a kid who score 90 out of 100 consistently, the scope of growth is lot less than a child who scores just 40 of 100.
We should try to achieve atleast 10% growth rate in upcoming 5 years to even be eligible to be compared to China.
Right now there is no comparison anywhere, they are just too much developed than us.

Some countries like Guyana have huge 38% growth, but that growth amount is still less than the 0.5% growth of the U.S. because their economy was so much smaller.

It also means a lot of loss from its previous number. Its base is high. So expectations is higher else productivity is low.
You need to learn how to use percentages for growth comparasion. It is not done directly based on absolute numbers because absolute amount will depend on size of country and initial yearly base and does not give relative information with respect to itself or with others.
