    The language he used is more like for writing. No one talks like that in real life, even in a formal setting. It is clear that this is an intentional setup for a band 9 example and the test taker obviously memorized the phrases and even sentences specifically for this test. Even less experienced examiners would effortlessly figure this out. People can be fooled too easily these days.

      then how to learn formal vs informal words?

    • @paultvshow
      @paultvshow Před 7 měsíci +5

      @@Cookingfusion Spoken language, even in formal settings, often differs from written language. When speaking, people tend to use more informal and conversational language compared to the more structured and precise language used in writing. This is because spoken language is typically more spontaneous and interactive, allowing for a more relaxed and natural communication.

      Exactly my thougts. Its more of a written language, I have been living with native speakers for 4 years, never seen someone using such formal words while speaking. No disrespect to the speaker he have amazing command over vocabulary, however this can be misleading for the test takers.

    Should we manipulate our answers like that? If one doesn't really like fruits or veges, they should say so right? I mean details can be included, like why don't they like them, and what do they like and why? For the sake of getting a higher band score I don't think it is convenient to turn our perspectives. One can also be positively vibrating themselves while answering, even if the answer goes against the expectation of the examiner!! Can I get some of your suggestions on this?

      He obviously memorized all those phrases and sentences. No one speaks like that in real life, even native speakers in formal setting. Experienced examiners would instantly figured out his speech was memorized and sounded unnatural like a robot and they would give him a 6 instead of 9. He wasn’t even trying to generate new ideas, instead pulled out his memorized sentences which made him sound like a robot.
