Nice job on the review and I think your little girl made the review even better
Daddy’s little helper. Awesome! Happy Father’s Day
Thanks for this. Am contemplating the addition of this to my 1Up rack purchase, and this was exactly what I needed to understand!
Thanks for reviewing this. I’ll be ordering for a 1-up rack based on your review. My daughter enjoyed seeing yours!
Thanks for providing a detailed video showing the product! The site is definitely lacking this important information!
I agree, the website is very sparse. It used to be made by RakAttach, the company, but it’s now sold exclusively through 1UP apparently.
Agreed. 1-Up USA is an amazingly simple rack, but their on-site promotion and instruction is lacking.
Looks like a solid setup.
We’ve used it a couple times so far and it’s great. It holds all the bikes of various sizes and swings out of the way when we need to get to the back.
Thank you.
Thank you. Happy to help.
So wanted to ask you this. I read some real negative reviews online about the Yakima Fourtimer but I know you are rocking it for a year or so and it’s working for you. So question is do you leave it on the van or take it off when not in use?
In the summer I often leave it on the van. In the winter I usually take it off because it goes months without use. Best of luck.
Hey mate, thanks for the review and details. Can i ask what size did you buy as their site has both medium and large available?
thanks
I purchased the large. Best of luck.
Thanks. Enjoyed interaction with your daughter as much if not more than than the rakattach. Dated video but I am pretty dated myself. Does the rakattach swing out to the left if you want it to?
Thanks for watching. The swing out is. Or switchable but they made left and right swing versions. Best of luck.
It is likely UHMW aka ultra high molecular weight polyethylene.
what size Rakattach is that? Assuming it is the "passenger side" option as well?
It is the Large Passenger side. I think the driver side would be more convenient except if you break down and need to use it on the side of the road. Best of luck.
Your RackAttach is from 1UP but your rack doesn't look like a 1UP, at least how the new 1UP racks are made, since this video is 3 years old. Probably a true 1UP new rack might fit closer and tighter to the rear of the vehicle. The RackAttach you've reviewed seems to fit very securely and the attachments that prevent it from wobbling around appear to do the job very well. I'm probably going to get a 1UP or a QuikRack Mach2. I believe the QuikRack is even a bit better than the 1UP but there's a minimum 6 month backup on delivery due to demand and also shortage of materials to the manufacturer.
The square below what I assume is the the 2in square bike attachment that swings out. Is that also 2in? If I wanted to out a basket there would it fit?
Yes, it’s all 2in. Best of luck.
your child's head is partially blocking at 5:27>5:40
Or just buy a oneup bike rack and you wouldn't need this.
Last I checked the 1Up bike racks don’t swing out of the way of the rear doors. That’s why 1Up sells this swing out hitch on their site.
@@ChasingtheTwist how much weight will it carry
Not sure of the limit but it will easily carry a four bike tray carrier with four heavy steel bikes.
Don't unbox someone else's idea, build your own, you be creative, not just another consumer
Great review but unprofessional and distracting having the kid in it.
I was that little girl and I think that I made it funny and you learned!!!
@@gooserocket2975 The little girl in the video was fine. It's cool that he did his thing and included her vs sticking a phone in her hand and telling her to go over there.
