    1. You can use whatever brand of oil you like as long as it's at least semi-synthetic, designed for motorcycles and of the correct weight (10w40 covers a good portion of the population).
    2. Spark plugs last a lot longer than 12 months, in spite of what's written in the service manual, 4-5 years, easily. Someone new to motorcycle could do the job within an hour, following along to a YT video.
    3. Never go near an o-ring/x-ring chain with a wire brush, you will destroy the chain. Use a plastic brush only and a light spray of degreaser before rinsing, never pressure wash the chain. In dry weather, a well lubricated chain will need bugger all cleaning or additional lube for months.
    Takes a while to get used to motorcycles, but they're usually very easy to work on once you learn how.

      Right, in case anyone is reading these instablocker comments and thinks "hey that sounds interesting, I'll take a look at the website"
      Don't do that, it's a scam and the first result on Google should tell you

    Looking to get one as new daily still a beginner local shop tried to sell my a Lifan 200 KPR but doing more research and seeing this would be a better value for my dollar over time compared to the lifan and a 100cc more for about $1500 more than the lifan looking at a 2021 do y’all think I could negotiate price down? Seeing now the 2022s are around 5500 same as the one I’m looking at

    Lol brush my chain every time I wash it I’d rather just buy a new chain if you had to buy gear oil and lube your chain every time you wash the bike or it rains you would reach the price of a new chain pretty quick I’ve never herd this my owners manual says every 1000 miles lube and check for replacement

    Mineral for the first 1000miles. Then any full synthetic motorcycle oil that is wet clutch safe. Yamalube is no better than Mobil 1, Royal Purple, etc. They all have to meet the same specs.

    Im between mt03 and r3 cuz i will most likely just commute and ride a lot, and don’t know which to choose. I think I might choose the cheapest I can find. Can anyone help if they have ridden both, and I’m worried that my back will hurt from riding the r3? Anything would be nice:)

 I’ve learnt a bit. Tried sitting on an r7 and r1 and I could easily daily an r7 and it’s more aggressive than the r3

    I listened until you said "The ONLY oil it will take is expensive Yamaha synthetic oil" you are wrong... I use Shell Rotella T6 in my truck, R3, and quads. OK Back to your "review"

      I was told car/truck oil is hard/bad on atv clutches....... but I'm no mechanic.

    • @Abyssdiver
      @Abyssdiver Pƙed 3 lety

      @@CORYSart Most are because of the additives. Shell Rotella does not use the stuff that is bad for your wet clutch and the oil is better than any yama/honda lube by FAR. Use google and search Shell Rotella motorcycle/atv. I been using it exclusively for years in everything I own to include my Toyota Truck. I even put the oil in small syringe bottles to lube my guns. It is an end all be all oil. As well my Kawasaki KFX 450r that is heavily modified to include inside the engine loves this oil. It will keep my Yamaha R3 zinging down the road for years.

      What Rotella T6 do you use? 5W40 or the 15W40? Specs call for 10W40, really want to run Rotella T6 in my Ford ZX2 and R3. Have some track days next season, running the bike hard, fully tuned. I’m not sure if running 15W40 can cause issues.

    • @Abyssdiver
      @Abyssdiver Pƙed 2 lety

      @@chrisp.5272 I run 5W40 and all my engines love it. It is thin enough for cold weather and works extremely well under heat. Fresh in the bottle it even smells good almost like bananas. The best oil for the price, some even say it is better than Mobile 1.
      Happy 2022
