Come on, guy, we all know Scott would never do an episode in the 2024 season where Rex just straight up dies. Although, he did kill off Chet Shaft... but he only had one prior appearence, so that shots the theory down. BUT WAIT! ...Rex was *also* murdered in the "Greatest Mysteries in Gaming" episode. I guess I see where you're coming from: Scott's already established that death is meaningless in the show's universe (aptly named the Woziverse) and characters can even recover from it if your lucky. I think this is one of my favorite Scott the Woz episodes. The writing is so clever and Scott's friends are always funny. It's also very impressive how Scott can write jokes based on a mario party game that wasn't scripted. Keep up the good work Scott!
I'm pretty sure everything they said was a skit. Or at the very least exaggerated for comedic effect. I don't really even watch his game-related content on Scott's Stash (the videos where he plays games with his friends in his free time), and even I know that the way Scott and his friends speak in a video and in real life are not the same. Friends rag on each other, but they speak NOTHING like this.
What I'm saying is: that play session *HAD* to be scripted!

So heres my Mario Party story
Me and some discord friends found out you could play Mario Pario online over an emulator. It took well over an hour of trying to get everything to work and figuring out to how make a lobby. But we eventually got Mario Party 5 working between the three of us
We're chumps so we set the CPU to easy. As a Result, My friend, Toad, and I were winning most of the mini-games. More accurately, I was winning the *practice rounds* of the mini-games and he was always winning the actual rounds of the game. I started just hitting start before we had fully read the controls just to give myself an edge (was surprisingly effective actually, and my friends hated me for it. As is the Mario Party way). Despite this, Toad still had the most coins and starts in the last 10 turns or so. Meanwhile, Yoshi, the Easy CPU, got stuck in the center part of the map that was just a loop of red spaces and a couple ? spaces to get out. However, he never once got out of that area once he got in, and he never won a game
Now, guess what happened when I landed on a chance time?
If you guessed "It swapped Yoshi's and Toad's Stars AND Coins" you'd be right. What makes this even better that, despite the fact Yoshi did nothing but lose coins *for the rest of the game*. Yoshi won. Purely cause they had all of Toad's Stars from a few turns ago. Toad got *last place* as a result. He's still traumatized and wont play Mario Party with me anymore
And thats why Mario Party is a game based entirely on game knowledge and skill
I'm sure it's a lot easier with parsec lol
