That little girl should have been nominated for an Oscar. She was magnificent.
@LALIT Dhanwani What do you mean? She’s an actress.
a lot of em are pretty good but yeah... that girl's cries when she lost her dad sent chills down my spine :(
She really was. Her performance wrecks me every time I watch this movie.
The ending made a lot of CZcamsrs cry, with some of them saying to the little girl, "No baby, it's not your fault. Your daddy is doing the right thing."
literally the ending made almost all CZcamsrs cry or at least teary eyes while reacting to it. IMO one of the best Korea movies or of all zombie movies in all times.
Made a lot more than CZcamsrs cry
No matter how much times i watch this movie the endin will always make me cry😭
How many of the same movie reactions are you watching?? 🥴
Lol that music with the dad standing there with white eyes looking goofy ruins the entire scene imo. It turns into comedy.
Music: cry now
Me: lmao
I cry ever time. The little girl acting was top tier
Some things that got lost in translation:
1) The daughter speaks to her mom on the phone casually, but she speaks to her dad in honorific, formal Korean, like he's a stranger. This stresses that they're not close.
2) The movie is a metaphor for the Korean War. The war started in June 1950 when N Korea invaded. The S Korean army was overwhelmed and retreated south.
3) Busan is a city on the southern tip of the Korean Peninsula. The S Korean army consolidated and fought off the N Koreans for weeks and survived.
4) N Korean troops were ruthless and slaughtered everyone in their path.
5) Since the S Korean army survived there, Busan has a special place in history as the only city that was never captured by the N Koreans. Therefore, Busan is the safest place.
Wow this context is crazy, thanks for the comment! It makes the movie come alive even more
@@youranimeeditor7812 Now I'm wondering what they will do in the US remake. The train is supposed to be going to NY. I hope it's not just a cash grab with just people dying.
Agree. Greatest zombie/virus movie, EVER! Always makes me cry at the end. That little girls acting was amazing! If you don't shed a tear watching her then you're a cold hearted snake!!
Not even close
Dawn of the dead, day of the dead, Shaun of the dead, 28 days later, zombie, rabid, brain dead, night of the living dead. Train to Busan is a good movie but it didn’t add anything to the genre. It’s just a Korean dawn of the dead except they switched out the mall with a train. Amazing zombie actors though compared to other films.
Absolutely one of the best zombie movies ever! Korean film industry puts out some awesome flicks!
Even the director and filming crew are crying and bawling while filming Suan and Dad scene. Her performance are pure and real.
If you like action comedy movie, i suggest Extreme Job an korean movie too.
That was a great movie!
The evil business man is pretty much what the dad was on track on becoming with his "only look out for yourself" attitude. Thankfully (in an odd sort of way), the zombie apocalypse opened his eyes to the worth of other people and especially his own daughter, and swapped selfishness with self-sacrifice - the perfect character arc.
I love that you and your mom are partners on this channel. Your reactions and analysis of the movies is honest and heartfelt. My mom and I were movie partners but I lost her this past March. So, watching this channel is somewhat bitter sweet.
I'm so sorry to hear that! Mom sends you a hug, and I'm glad you enjoyed the reaction.
I'm very sorry for your loss ❤️
I saw this movie months ago out of bordem and because it popped up on an app i have for asian dramas. And my mouth dropped by the end of the movie it was so incredible.
Also, the kid actress who plays the daughter is pretty grown up now and has played in a more recent kdrama called “poong, the josen psychiatrist”. I thought she looked familiar but didn’t recognize her at first. She is phenomenal as always in that drama too.
You guys mentioned you’re Canadian. Well the actor who plays the baseball teammate that survived until the end, choi wooshik is Canadian as well.
Noone comes to the aid of the woman in the beginning stumbling around the train because in korean culture they are brought up to mind their own business. Anyone who noticed her would most likely assume she is drunk or on some kinda drugs. Its not until she appears to be having a seizure that an attendant tries to get her help. The homeless man would be treated much of the same way, they would act like he doesnt exist. Plus, its really early in the morning so many of the passengers have fallen asleep. Its interesting to see a zombie outbreak happen in a culture where only the military and law enforcement are allowed firearms so the survivors finding a gun is very unlikely so they have to resort to making weapons out of whatever they can find, like the baseball bats and riot gear. Its never clear what can actually take these zombies out because you never see it happen in the film, they find ways to incapacitate or get around them but you see the zombies fall from helicopters and tall buildings which would smash the brain of a regular person but it doesnt phase these zombies, fire doesnt even seem to work because one of the chard ones at the end twitches, fire might be enough to keep them from moving around but it doesnt destroy them. I imagine maybe decapitation would work but again, i dont recall seeing them ever completely destroy any of the zombies in this film. The problem with older lady's sister is there wasnt enough time for her to get through. If she had tried they would of ended up with the same situation that took the pregnant woman's husband. Her holding back gave the others time to shut the door fully. We are watching it all in slow motion but for them its all happening quickly.
This is the only zombie movie I like. So powerful and raw. Thanks for your videos, love your channel!
This is absolutely my fave zombie film. The acting and everything is amazing. It gives all the feels!.....and I cried.
South Korea makes the best zombie shows/movies. Kingdom is one of the best shows ever.
All of us are dead isn't bad as well. Can't wait for both of the new seasons of those shows.
@@randalthor1327 yea, some people might mot like it because it's more teen drama (wich is the normal standard for most korean shows) I love it personally.
@@randalthor1327 ye I find Korean zombie movies more interesting
I cried so hard when I first saw this movie. I have seen so many amazing movies coming out of South Korea. One of the reasons I watch a lot of their stuff is because they always keep me guessing what is going to happen next and too many movies anymore are predictable or just remakes. Thanks for the reaction and hope you stay happy and healthy. HuGGieS
Just when I finally stop thinking about that little girl screaming for her dad on the train when another reactor shows up in my recommended 😭
WOW 🙂 What a movie, Thanks for letting me join you both.
Easily the best overall zombie film to-date. There wasn't a dry eye in the audience at the end when I watched it in theaters.
Yes. I agree that this is the greatest zombie ever although World War Z is pretty close. This movie is so tense and the acting top notch. Enjoyed your reaction! Looking forward to the next.
At 34:58 I can feel your mom's desperation haha, I want him to get eaten too, the actor who play that son of a gun is good, I hated him with so much passion, btw this channel deserve more subscribers! I really love you both, I wish I could drag my mom to watch movie with me too, unfortunately, no one like watching movie in my family, so I often look for reaction videos like yours, you know to get the illusion like I'm watching with someone hehe, but seriously you guys are amazing! some CZcamsrs barely focusing on the movie while they talk, and often missed out many crucial part, but with you guys, it's just great, you can tell if the person really love movie or just reacting for the sake of content X'D I really love the relationship you both have, keep it up guys, I can't wait for more reaction from you guys!
Thank you so much!! We're so glad you're along for the ride.
Best zombie movie of all time to me the ending always gets to me.
When it first came out I was in 8th grade. I thought everyone knew about this movie. I was surprised to see a lot of reactors watching it for the first time after years! Seriously amazing zombie movie
I saw a lot of parralels in today's society when the villain of the movie won't let them in to the train car and is trying to make everyone paranoid and suspicious about them based on lies.
Reminded me of a few politicians
this movie sets the bar high for zombie films but kingdom for me, set the bar even higher. most zombie plot is only about straight up surviving but kingdom mixed 2 plots and connected them.
25:10 actually he said his height is 181cm which is more like 5'11"
Kingdom is an AMAZING series omggg. I love that you even knew about it because not a lot of people do but its a great series
the hidden gem of netflix. i was scared that it would be cancelled due to not so many people knowing it.
Best zombie movie ever and I've seen a ton in my 58 years
Like your reaction. I also watched that movie with my mon, hahaha...My mom also hate the government man and cried at the last scene. BTW, I'm south Korean living in Seoul. ^^......b
Should try 'Zombie for sale' next. Korean too of course. A more lighthearted yet touching zombie flick.
great reactions and commentary. i must say that the editing was the best of all of the other reactions i've seen of this movie! you've included ALL of the significant and dramatic moments. extremely well done!
You guys should watch "All Of Us Are Dead" - a Korean limited series about a zombie outbreak that focuses on a group of students trapped in their high school. It is PHENOMENAL. Amazing writing, acting, directing, character arcs...everything about it is top-notch.
Isn't Aloha oe means farewell everyone..the song fits well with ending..
Not only that but it was a farewell song written by Queen Lili'uokalani when she was imprisoned in her palace. She knew the Hawai'i that she grew up with would no longer be. It was acceptance & sadness. It's heartbreaking. The director was si intentional with everything he did 😍😭
어머니와 같이 영화 보는 모습이 아름다워요
Thanks! I never had courage to watch the movie even if I was curious... This way was very easy to watch and had the same emotion....
One of the best Asian horror-action films ever made.
Wow! Reaction with Mum is so gorgeous! It was very good reaction!!
I think your mum look so beautyful and I wanna get old like her! :)
Please watch The Squid Game if your mum didn't watch~!
Thank you so much. I really enjoyed it!
Ma Dong-seok/Don Lee - the badass from train to busan as a badass cop: "The Outlaws" Original title: 'Beomjoidosi' 2017
No matter how many times I see this movie I still cry everytime, I think it is the best zombie movie ever
This is a great movie. I dont see why people "hate" characters as opposed to simply appreciating the greatness of the film. Its a MOVIE.
The best reaction
I hope you venture into more Korean films, they give Hollywood a run for their money. Some quick film recommendations;
Kingdom
Parasite
All Of Us Are Dead
Squid Game
Oldboy
Move to Heaven
Thanks for the recommendations!
The perfect zombie movie for me.
The little girl is literally Oscar worthy in this but my fav characters has to be the pregnant lady's husband, by the way your mum rocks
i cry at the end every single time and ive seen it a hundred times
If y’all haven’t, check out the animated sequel Seoul Station (2016.)
Another film y’all might want to check out is the Thai film from 2019 The Pool.
My favorite zombie film of all-time is Return Of The Living Dead (1985) and the best is by far Night Of The Living Dead (1968.)
And with those out of the way, I would normally recommend zombie films that are a kind of antithesis to this one because they’re more my vibe, (though I love Train To Busan. Not so much World War Zed, though it’s also not so bad-As long as you can get passed how great the book is,) let me recommend the Canadian zombie film of 2020, Blood Quantum, and the Australian film from 2019, Little Monsters.
Another good Korean Zombie movie is #Alive.
You should definitely do the sequel!! Peninsula, just as good as this! SO Amazing! I loved watching your reactions as well! Great take!
Greatest zombie movie of all time.
Have you guys seen Parasite?
Great movie! Haven't seen the sequel yet.
The difference is similar to Citizen Kane and Corky Romano.
The little girl is a great actress imo - she's in quite a number of films now - "A little princess" she stars is just wonderful (the title is probably not the best....😁)
Liked and Subscribed!
Thanks! 🙂
This was directed by the man who did Parasite which won a academy award for best Pic a few years ago plus he also directed Swowpiercer. I believe the hero who got bitten started out as a wrestler. This was a great movie, there's a part 2 but it's not as good. This came before World War Z. You guys were great.
Yeon Sang -ho directed train to busan no Bong Joon-ho
the last song that girl sing have a meaning, i forget about what but it's interesting.
Definitely the best zombie movie
There are two dramas you MUST watch. these dramas are on Netflix! It's all a mystery genre, so you will like it and enjoy it!
1.Flower of Evil
2.Little Women
Koreans call these two dramas masterpieces. so you can look forward to it!
Aww I love this mother and son movie reaction. I love it !!!!!! subscribed. Do you guys do K-drama too?
잘봤어요~
Excelente reacción amigos. (SALUDOS DESDE ARGENTINA) 😀😀😀👍👍👍
Oh my, two CZcams viewers are boarding The Train. What will a "World War Z" fan take from this 2016 South Korean movie? When "Parasite" was in the theaters, CZcams suggested "Train To Busan." I was hooked when the Deer got back up, and "surfed the waves of emotion" in this movie. I HATE Zombie movies, but this one had me riveted in place until the final song. Kudos to the writer, director, actors, and especially the stunt performers for creating this modern Classic.
You should watch "The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil". The big guy is in that one.
SuperB movie 👊🏼
I hope you do more korean content like "Squid Game". I think you and your mom would like "My Mister" it is considered to be one of Korea's best dramas. There's also "Mr. Sunshine" about historical drama during the criminal japanese occupation. Don't just take my word for it, check them out, they're all top tier, some real tear jerkers. All still on Netflix. There's this one comedy movie, absolutely hilarious, "Extreme Job".
Another good couple Korean series that are good to check out are "all of us are dead" and "sweet home". I just found their channel so I'm not sure if they already found these two but a definite good watch!
Seoul station, watch this one too
I think it was his company that started it because of the dead fish, they still sold them to people... Just my theory lol
Hey I really enjoyed reaction of you and your mom 😄
The ending of movie really made everybody cry
Such a great zombie/apocalypse movie
I recommend you to watch 'The Wailing'
It's a Korean horror masterpiece
I think you and your mom's gonna enjoy it
Try watching Miracle in cell no. 7, it's one of the best korean movie, it makes me cry like a river
Yesss kingdom is so gooooood im still waiting for the next season😭😭
Great reaction 🤩, u should watch the movie "RRR" its really great movie to watch and react
I knew they're Canadian right away when the mom said, "World War Zed" 😅
I said it the right way! 😉😁
What scares me the most about the movie is that the infection is because of animals, why pick such a realistic starting point...
There’s like a sequel but not a sequel like it’s the same time line and world but the Main leads are different.
Season 2 is out
Could you please react to Extraordinary Attorney Woo (Netflix)?!
Korean movies are way better than Hollywood movies. Those korean mfs knows their sht. Koreans are actually perfectionists. It's like their ocd. They have high attention to details. Even side characters have proper backgrounds. They actually deserve the hype. They do their best to everything.
hope u try reaction of squid game also
Can you watch All of us are dead a korean zombie series?
I absolutely love this series. Hopefully there will be a season 2
How's it going?
Saludos
Just curious if your mom still ranks World War Z as the best zombie movie ever or if Train to Busan swayed her?
Kingdom is a better zombie series than The Walking Dead
屍速列車 好看
If you want a more lighthearted zombie movie please react to Warm Bodies. It’s a very different take on the zombie genre.
😂😂😂😂😂
