  • ★★★ This is a follow-up video to my steam shower vs sauna video and why I ended up going with the MayaBath Platinum Lucca Steam shower
UPDATE - After about a year of use here's how I'd update this review.
    Overall - 2.5/5 Stars
The reason for this is the following issues:
    Cons:
    1. The rollers on the doors screech like a banshee and I've done WD40 and lithium grease and they still screech like crazy.
    2. The ozone thing died on me after 2 months. Getting a replacement was not easy and I gave up
    3. The digital display is avg at best and feels dated like they added Bluetooth to an old setup. I never really use the TV screen or anything.
    4. The drain randomly backs up. I thought it was just a me issue but I've seen comments from others saying the same thing. Maybe 1-2 time a month I need to plunge the drain to keep it moving.
    5. The hand held shower head just flat out broke after 6 months of use and I had to buy a replacement. This one was the craziest issue to me.
    Pros:
    1. The steam is great and continues to work great
    2. Besides the handheld shower issue the water flow and options are great
    3. No issues with leaks or anything which was a concern
At one time I found the exact shower on Alibaba (although struggling to find it now) and the prices are probably about 30% of what you'll find out there.

Why did you choose this over the Arial steam showers? Just curious

did you have a video on why you went with a complete steam shower kit as opposed to some retro steam generator?

What is purpose of the ceiling fan- pull air in or pull air out? Thanks!

Pull air out. It’s helpful bc I like to do a steam and then switch to a shower. I like to get the steam out before the shower.

Just installed mine and it's draining super slow... like unusably slow. Did you have any issues with that?

      Did it get better?

Hey mine did this too but it was because the line itself was backed up. I got one of those plungers you can pull the handle back on and force air and lined it up ont the drain and pushed air through and it solved it.
I think a potential issue is if the drain hose has slack in it where it goes up and down you want it to all lead down if possible.

I really like your choice, I only can not speak to copying your genius Magnet Wall concept.

Thanks for this video and for responding! Would you purchase it again or just go the custom route?

Curious why people go this route over a nice tile shower and steam unit?

We just got the 59 in model are you still impressed?

Yes I love it. I never use the TV and I use mostly the steam, rainfall shower and wand. To me the bells/whistles of the TV and bluetooth speaker are fine but I just don't use them. I love taking a steam especially when I'm stuffed up.
