I love how he Kevin-proofs the lava and all the traps in the jars but never even considers Kevin-proofing the veritable tightrope walks between them all.
The first thing I would do is make the paths multiple blocks wide so I can run across them and wonât fall off.

Exactly! I get that maybe he didnât have the resources to Kevin-proof the paths at first, but putting up fencing wouldnât have been terribly hard once he made it to the village jar.
Everyone is talking about fences but slabs would have been the way to go. Place them with a block wide space between them and the path

I like that kevin had access to more than enough obsidian to build a nether portal himself, but instead just bridged off into the void, leading to his own eventual demise. felt quite poetic

I lowkey missed Kevins minecraft videos they're always so fun to watch
I personally prefer my worlds being limited size. I remember loving it back on the old Minecraft 360 Edition. If your world has a size limit, it means you can potentially fill it up. You can "complete" it. It also gives the game a whole different feeling, like you're stranded on a big island, as opposed to just being able to wander off in any direction for as long as you want. It's pretty neat, and I definitely suggest everyone that likes Minecraft giving a go at playing on a limited-size world at least once.
Heck, I still go back and play on the 360 Edition, specifically because of it.
Totally get where youâre coming from. However, I always enjoyed playing with friends in a big world and going on some massive journey into the distance, which could potentially be endless. It was even better with different biome mods
13:20 and you can also turn each plank into slabs! So each plank is 4 blocks or 8 slabs. They make great bridges, and if you place them correctly mobs won't spawn on them :)

For some reason a world inside a bottle/jar always fascinates me. I remember reading a book on Doraemon gadgets as a kid and there was this drifting bottle that allows you to live inside it on raft or island. I tried recreating it in Minecraft but never got around to complete it. Maybe I will someday after watching this video.

Kevin's military genius is earned in one of a vast array of ways by directly testing potential military equipment on himself. A very unconventional approach that really shows the risk he is willing to take to attain such lofty heights in the field.

I actually really like the tree house. It's quaint and cozy, although it would be better with some doors. But in all, it's quite nice, it even has a floor to ceiling window that looks out at the village jar. And the lantern is just the chef's kiss on top, it really works in that space.
And because this sounds kinda sarcastic, I'm not being sarcastic, I would live there IRL

Tip from Skyblock players: Turn your cobblestone or planks into slabs! They will help your resources go much further when bridging.
Also if you place them as bottom slabs, then monsters can't spawn on them.

Kevin I watched a CZcamsr that played this same map. The Neither portal Jar does exist and the compass does work. However, the jar is very very VERY far from the other jars. So if you do want to continue this it would be nice to see you complete it. âșïž

Fun fact for anyone who's never had the misfortune of fighting an evoker (the illager that summons the ghost things) in a raid:
They're the absolute worst thing to have to shoot in the entire game. They run so much faster than they have any right to. It's like they snort 80 pounds of cocaine and drink a gallon of red bull before the raid. They're legit the reason I have a seperate bow for raids that has infinity on it instead of mending; they make me go through so many arrows so quickly that I decided it'd be easier just to eventually replace the bow than keep track of arrows during the fight.
I would rather fight multiple baby drowned with enchanted tridents at the same time than one evoker, especially melee. They're more than hard enough to take down with a bow

My skyblock brain was already planning a cobblestone generator, and then using cobblestone slabs as bridges to prevent spawning and then rationing every single piece of dirt on that map

Use a water bucket to place water along the sides of the bridges

If you turn all your blocks you plan on building bridges with into half slabs, you can go twice the distance with them

Small tip! Poison will only ever bring you down to half a heart. The best course of action is to just wait out the effect in a safe place and heal once itâs gone.
As a Minecraft veteran and a person who played this map back in the day somehow watching Kevin play Minecraft the way he does doesn't infuriate me (because you know it's Kevin) and it's actually entertaining to see how many things he can get away with (again because it's Kevin and he somehow simultaneously have the worst and the best luck ever)

Good fun, but I think the tool tip for those nether compass said something about using it to teleport to the portal, that might well be why its enchanted. I could be wrong, but it was only a quick glance and I'm fairly certain that's what it said. That would make sense why they're enchanted too
if you hold down LMB and drag when you are in a crafting interface (or any other inventory interface) it will evenly split the item stack among all the tiles you drag over
