Same same same! Loved every bit! The only person that did not quite sit well with me was the witch who cursed Uhtred. The character portrayal was a little off for me 🤷♀️
Shannon Leacock She was off for all the female chars too. The only people who were enthralled by her were men 😂 so I guess in that sense, it was good casting.

GOT was a cultural phenomena. And had fans of people that don't care for anything medieval or fantasy. I'd say since there's less fantasy elements then only real fantasy fans enjoy itnn
I think I know why😊The series doesn’t fit in any box. It is historically predominantly correct and therefore perhaps more demanding than expected. She has a special soundtrack, only small fantasy elements. She was never advertised or have you ever seen Alex in one of the „big“ talk shows. The success came only because there were excellent scripts, ambitious young actors ,directors and excellent teamwork. I don’t think anyone expected the great success at the beginning either, otherwise bbc would not have handed over the show to Netflix.

Halig's death was the most emotional I ever got, I literally cried,Uhtred was relieved when the screaming stopped since he was hurt when his friend was suffering......I really loved their bond, just wish he didn't die that way

The Last Kingdoms is far more realistic than Vikings. It reflects by far the most realistic details of the livings and fightings of the medieval world than any other movies or series I ever watched and I watched a lot. Its plot is both well twisted, realistic and natural. It depicts all characters' and all sides' courage, light moments and cunning, unlike Vikings that treated non-Vikings mostly as purely weak despicable objects. It reflects the ancient freedom of British people and a kind of United States under God in the medieval time as intended by the director.

Its not about showing one sided or two sided bravery its which side's bravery you liked watching and enjoyed the most. I loveee loveeee Uthred but Ragnar Lothbrok from Vikings was just something else his wife played a great role so did Brida here. The over all idea of both the shows in the same but they can't replicate one another both are beautifully written and performed but i slept sleepless nights just binge watching Vikings tho i loved the last kingdom too and i have literally just finished season 3 i dont think i will live in pain for too long 😚 (gosh i hope not!)

The Last KIngdom has been made excellent by a class army of actors, technicians of all sorts and other production team members. I just have to keep reminding myself that it is isn't actual history!
The scene in the field with Hilde and Uhtred is so powerful. There is such an inspiring dynamic between those two, it pretty amazing how they're able to capture it. These scenes are shot with the perfect amount of camera shake and great angles, the artistry and attention to detail that goes into in all of the episodes is amazing. Halig's death really tore me up, as did that of Leofric. I hope Uhtred doesn't lose anymore brothers but I have a feeling that won't be the case

Man, this is so weird seeing "behind the scenes". Out of all the shows I'm super enchanted by, The Last kingdom is the one where I get completely drawn into, and forget that it's not real....that it's cinematography magic created by the squad of actors and production people. So I'm like "Wait...so Alexander was wearing makeup, and didn't actually starve and suffer...oh yeah, doy. That's his job"
Awesome series. Up late watching it. I was so mad he kept going after Skade..yuck! But in the end....did I mention what a cutie Uthred is!!
Haha! that's how I always felt about Harry Potter, and of course in this show as well. It almost ruins the magic to see them behind the scenes but then you watch the next season or movie and you're drawn in once again
Alot of it is real 8n thesense thst it represents a lot of real hitorical people and sticksas close to the history as possible. A great education about the time from King Alfred to William the Conqueror and tickles a bit about the Roman period around 100AD.
I absolutely loved this show. Uhtred is a fantastic actor and gorgeous with it. Best series I have seen ever on Netflix.

I noticed when Alexander talks on this video he has a similar accent to the one on the show but when he talks on interviews he sounds much more American. Probably in costume & easy to stay in character. Love him!!! And love this show!!!! ♥️♥️♥️

It's insane how much this show has progressed. Season 2 is as good as Game of Thrones in my opinion, and it really made me love Uhtred after hating the shit out of him for almost the entire season 1. THis show honestly has some of the best character development I've ever seen.
So glad I finally clicked on this on Netflix, have scrolled past it multiple times for about 3 years lmao and I’ve finally finished all 4 seasons in a week and a half hahaha amazing show - can’t wait for season 5

This is such an amazing show. This part in season 2 when they were sold into slavery absolutely broke me and definitely made me shed a couple of tears. Awesome acting, awesome storyline. 10/10

This actor has oodles of charisma, and he exudes that youthful confidence. He is doing so well in The Last Kingdom. His character changes as he matures, and I think the writers did a great job with that. He brings the character to life. His face can't hide his thoughts. That makes for a good actor. He will have a great career ahead of him. It was fun watching the other actors too. It must be nice to be young and have so much fun.

don't remember why i decided to watch this show a few weeks ago, at first i wasn't even watching the screen, to be honest I was playing solitaire in my phone, but then, the vikings take this little english boy with them and bang, i was hooked, i was intrigue to know about his journey, watched 3 seasons in a couple of weeks when i finished my life was meaningless, and the they after, boom, new season, never thought i could be so excited about a TV show.

It's just amazing to see all the people required for shooting just a few scenes... to see the attention to details which will make all the difference in the end...! I would definitely be the one behind the camera rather than in front... that's for sure ha ha ! Bernard Is the best writer and novelist I have read. The Last Kingdom series of books I will cherish and read again. I love how the history is told. The books I read before watching the series so was up to speed with Utred. I was excited when the TV series came out and think they did an excellent job. Also Alexander was so good and brought Utred to life. His presence and persona is absolutely believable. I hope we see more of Alexander in the future. I’m almost sad that this will be the final series in book and TV. These books will live on they are so good.

I love, love this show. Watching Alexander is a definite plus. I've gone through the seasons 3 times already and I'm now on my 4th time watching. Each time I watch I see something different. That may say a lot for how much I paid attention before...either way, I love it. One of the worst episodes to me was the sorcerer that put the curse on him. Couldnt stand her or her antics. Love you Uhtred🥰🥰

I absolutely Loved this series. Sad to hear that season 5 will be the last. Based on Cornwells books there should have been at least two more seasons. Seeing this Uhtred person makes me want to go back to England again and go wenchin' and drink more Ale! On a side note I noticed that in one of the shows I could see a jet's contrail in the sky, with the jet making it.
I am ready for season 5 love the show and absolutely love the Stars. Season 4 was a hard one losing Beoca ( sorry for spelling). But you all sure left it open for a Season 5 and maybe even a 6. Thank you for such a great historical show.

Ok, the 3 first episodes of this season was, to me, better than all vikings series. Better characters, better scripts, better camera plans, stronger moments. The scene when Finan pull his sword out of the viking shipmaster and take his revenge was delicious.
