One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
Great video and teardown! I thought that the whole case would be full of glue and impossible to remove / repair. Did you remove it first or did Apple not apply glue in the AirPods 3s?
@@paulinagrudnik he mentioned at the end of the video, that there's lot of glue everywhere and difficult to remove. He might have used solvents/thinners and high grade adhesive removers to remove them 1st then clean everything, reassemble it and dismantle it again for clean video.

I'm partially blind, but that was a very interesting teardown. I'd have never looked at this stuff, but my puppy got hold of my left pod and ... thought it was a little white bone, I guess? Anyway, He just fortunately seems to have chewed where the stem meets the head, and not lower down. I was having a freak-out about where the battery is, even though the pod's still technically together ... though non-functional. So, the battery's at the bottom of the stem, correct? If you see this, please answer. This stuff's going to give me nightmares, I swear! I also know Ow'll regret making a fool of myself on here ... Great video anyway though, thanks!

I have sad news for my friend. The interior of his AirPods looks nothing like that, and probably got scammed. This is why I stick with wired earphones. Actually tilted Apple stopped including them.

Unfortunately opposite to the video, the case is glued! And it is impossible to open it without destroying! I try it.
