The two lines are where the polished and blasted come together. Micarta never gets polished but still, since it's an inlay, they put the two lines in anyways.

Very cool bro! About 4-5 years ago after like a 7 year break from buying any knives, I suddenly splurged on two small Sebenza 21's. A drop point in Devin Thomas damascus and a CF inlaid Insingo... so I pretty much got my CRK fill and never bought any more. In fact I didn't buy any other folders for another 3 years after that too! Congratulations on acquiring your grail! I got a Sebenza a few months ago and honestly at first I had pretty much immediate regret because it was just not what I expected. I had issues with the edge and it was just soooo stiff out of the box. But now, I canât seem to put it down, after a few sharpening sessions and cleanings the edge issues went away and itâs now buttery smooth. The Lanyard is trash though, I wish they would just not out one on. The price is also outrageous considering what you get. No bang for your buck whatsoever.
Right on! Yeah I think it will continue to grow on me too. I already love it. But yes, the price is way too high. Youâre paying a lot for the Chris Reeve name. I mean sure, itâs a classic knife full of history. Its extremely well made. And the design is fantastic. But itâs simple. Two pieces of titanium and a blade. đ€·đ»ââïž worth it? For me it is. But for some people it isnât.
âIâm getting burnt outâ he says, âI think Iâm a slipjoint guy nowâ he says⊠and then you go a jump off the highest cliff and get a Sabenza. The addict is strong in you, Jedi. đ
I did the same thing man. Got so burnt out cause all the new stuff coming out every week and couldn't keep up. Said screw it I'm going to slipjoints but that didn't last long just a little to out dated for me. Then I finally went full circle and bought a knife that originally got me into knives an Emerson. Now over the past year or so that's all iv bought. Absolutey love beating the shit out of a Emerson something about just feels different. I still have my some crks, hinderers, medfords, striders and love em all but theres nothing quite like an Emerson
@@lukecrafford6544 Iâve actually been thinking about Emerson more lately. Iâd like to try one. Probably start with the mini A-100. Or what do you recommend as a starter Emerson?
@@doodysdaggers imo can't go wrong with the regular a-100 or super the mini is a little to small for me. The drop point cqc-7, Horesman or Seax are also good his tantos are cool but not for me. They have a tool feel and need to break in but if you're tired of the same ole perfect titanium and bearings feel give em a try
I know I'm the outlier here but I recently purchased a Sebenza and intentionally left it in the box the hour's drive home because I wanted that unboxing experience. As I think everyone is when they get their first great knife, I was like a kid all over again when opening it. I just sat there looking at it for a minute, inspecting every inch, and was amazed at how tight the tolerances are. I knew opening it was going to be different from every other knife I own because I've watched tons of videos on it. So I just sat there for a while opening and closing it. My thoughts were that it has to break in and get smoother than it was because it felt like metal against metal when closing it and I could actually hear it. After two days of just opening and closing it, hoping it would get better it didn't, it got worse. I'm not sure about anyone else, but when I spend that much money on something I have to absolutely love it to justify that cost. I tried to convince myself that I did, but I just didn't like it. I returned it the following day. Who knows, maybe I got a defective one. All I know is I was bummed about the whole experience and don't think I'll be purchasing another one.
Hmm interesting! I have heard they take a month or two to break in. But the metal on metal sound definitely isnât right. There is no sound at all when I close this one. Itâs very smooth, but tight. I bet you did get a defective one. That sucks your experience was ruined!
Sorry to hear that but I bet if you tighten the pivot probably would have taken care of that. You would think loosen but it's opposite. I could be wrong but that's how knifes on washers are sometimes. You shouldn't have to though
This happens to many who purchase a specific knife that has a lot of hype. I've seen many who purchase and return because it wasn't the experience they wanted it to be. Too high expectations.
@@SixArmedPriest I wouldn't say too high expectations, more like realistic. As I said, for that kind of money I have to love it as I'm sure it is for most people

Don't know why my handle shows up as krkfmn? It's Richard Kauffman.
They changed it so it shows your email address I think?
Ah I wish lol congratulations man thatâs awesome!! Grail of mine too!
âIâm getting burnt outâ he says, âI think Iâm a slipjoint guy nowâ he says⊠and then you go a jump off the highest cliff and get a Sabenza.
The addict is strong in you, Jedi. đ
Haha well Iâd argue that the Sebenza is closer to a traditional than, for example, a Chaves đ
@@lukecrafford6544 I love this community. đ
Not my jam. But they are well made. Congratulations Doody. đ
