Hitler's Crazy Plan to Sabotage the United States
Vložit

- At the height of the Second World War, Nazi Germany was willing to do anything to maintain its grip on the conflict. With the full power and industrial strength of the United States now poised to meet the Wehrmacht on the battlefield, Hitler sought secretive means to gain an advantage over this formidable opponent. One such method, was espionage. Operation Pastorius was a very ambitious German sabotage plot designed to sneak several agents into the United States with one goal - destruction and mayhem.

You should talk about "the dai hong dan incident". Where in 2007, a north Korean cargo ship got hijacked by Somalian pirates. And a US warship came to the rescue after hearing their distress call. Fortunately, the NK sailors took the ship back after killing 2 of the baddies, and capturing 5 more. 3 of the sailors needed medical treatment, where US Navy medical personnel helped them. When the news spread around NK, they made a VERY RARE statement, PRAISING the US navy for answering the distress call for the their sailors. Worth talking about it.

But the head of German intelligence, Canaris, was secretly against Hitler. So he did a lot of self-sabotage behind Hitler's back and some of the weird decisions may have been from his orders. Hitler: *Has a plan to take over America*
America waging war in two different spots halfway across the world simultaneously: "What's up?"
Yeah. Hitler was delusional thinking he could win. Same as Putin today.
What I found amusing is that he had a plan to conquer America when he couldn’t even defeat Britain or the Soviet Union which were much closer, yet he planned to attack and conquer a powerful opponent that is over 3,000 miles across the ocean.

If you are still wondering why history is being censored on CZcams. It's because advertisers jump ship when unsightly material is being discussed, such as war, sickness, or just dirty language. Full might Germany vs America and Britain (no eastern front, also this is a what if so don’t take it seriously)
It would be very hard fought, but the Allies would win the attrition with their much faster man and industrial power
The Allies would instantly be pushed off Europe during any attempt at D Day with the full might of millions in the Wermacht
@@themightyironoak yeah, but they would instead succeed in Sicily and Italy, and the US's logistical and aerial superiority would dwelve any sort of German assault or support. And if it got to the point that the US couldn't push any more,by 1945,Moscow and Berlin would've been nuked
@@NobleDorito8698 I'd not be too sure about Sicily. The whole reason it turned out there as well as it did is quite frankly due to the sheer size of the general Front line + Defense Lines as well as successful deception operations.
But generally speaking it'd be more questionable how things would've turned out if the third reich actually accepted the alliance with the soviet union Stalin constantly requested until the end of the war or if the allies didn't join into the war and the soviet union was to fend for themselves.
As no eastern front means the ussr didn't get invaded nor have interaction with anyone? Then the allies would definitely win due to the big gap in industrial power
The kriegsmarine did not have the troop transports to get the German Heer across the Atlantic and no island like Great Britain on which to amass forces.
I can't believe the Nazis thought that this plan would work. One would think that the high sensitivity of the mission that they would have picked more capable people among their own ranks.

The Japanese High Command was asked why they didn't try to invade the US. The response was they would have found a gun behind every blade of grass.
That is a myth, do you honestly think Japan can send a large enough army far away to the USA while fighting China and other allies in the Pacific and keep them supplied?
Yeah, it was an impossible task that they never really considered doing. Unlike Germany however, they actually did manage to bombard and shell parts of the American coast however.
@@ChristopherHueskes-kj6dtThey sure were successful in that endeavor. However, I think the two really big booms had them regretting their choice a little bit.
Considering that Japan started the war to secure resources(ie. oil) a move the invade the US would have been all cost and no reward....was NEVER part of their planning. Their initial success was beyond their wildest dreams and "victory disease" set in and cost them dearly later.
