    I use this safely and it has been a game changer! I cut a stip of about 3 inches and cut in 1/2 the long way. So I end up with 2 strips of about 3 inches. I use vaseline just on the lip part the tape will touch. I put it from the bottom of my nose all the way under my chin. That's how I decide how long. I can sneeze, cough, etc. no problem. No more waking up with dry mouth/throat. So happy! That and elevating the head of my bed by 4" to let the nasal area drain has been life changing! Thank you Dr! And, I use extra strength Breathe Right. The combo has been great!

    I have found that paper adhesive tape breaks too easy and moisture from the mouth makes it disintegrate. The plastic based tape works better. I have also found shaving at bedtime helps the tape stick better as does cleaning the skin with alcohol to remove the oils. Now if you had a good idea how to prevent from rolling on my back during sleep!

    • @DentalNowPanorama
      @DentalNowPanorama  Před 3 lety +3

      Thanks for your question! It really depends on each person. Some people can catch on quickly and some people may take longer. It really depends on the severity and how long you've been doing this habit. It's a lot harder at night since you're not technically able to monitor your habits. We really appreciate your question, hopefully we've been able to guide you in the right direction!

      Hello! thank you so much for commenting. we appreciate you commenting. honestly, it's really hard to say without seeing you in person if there are any other concerns, such as crooked teeth or other problems. Our recommendation would be to visit a few dentists and talk to them about this issue and also try the tape for yourself to see if you have any results! As we've mentioned in the video, it's best to make sure that you visit and let your dentist and doctor know before proceeding with any recommendations.

      @DentalNowPanorama  Před 3 lety

      Hello! Thanks for reaching out. We really appreciate it 😊 hopefully we can guide you in the right direction.
      Your case could actually be a very good option for Invisalign Express. It's very similar to regular Invisalign, the only thing is that it has far less trays. It's usually meant for patients who have minor problems.
      Once you do get treatment again, you really need to get the retainer and wear it right away. We always stress this aspect because it's so critical for patients to wear it so that they don't risk having their teeth move out of place.
      Hopefully this answers your question!
