MIG welding (flux core)wants a very clean (shiny) metal surfaces to be able to weld correctly and bond without spatter or using too much wire. It's clear you're used to stick welding too much that you forgot to prep the metal by cleaning it with wire brush. You can weld the dirtiest and rustiest metals with arc/stick welding but you can't do the same with MIG. you MUST make the surfaces shiny enough for MIG to make wonders.
Your video is definitely what I needed to convert my ARC welder to MIG. I was stuck and thought of buying an expensive MIG welder to be able to run flux core but your video saved me money. I'll order the parts shown and upgrade my arc welder as you did.

obviously you don't understand the difference between current controlled machine (ARC-MMA) and voltage controlled machine (MIG), That is why is so difficult to weld for you with your setup

what are the advantages of a mig over stick welding, from the video I cant see any he is infact finding it difficult to weld that rebar, a stick electrode would have done that much quicker.

where is the CO2 gas?
for MIG welding (flux core) need CO2 gas. and MAG welding (solid core) need argon gas.
