Those wagons do look perfect, in reality as well as in model scale. Good, that you have the chance of a bargain, so those coaches could roll now on your layout. As you have recognized, bigger wheel would ever better the whole look of the train. To me it was a surprise, that the coaches made the curves without any problem - amazing. All the best Valentin
Hi Erik, these are very nice Marklin SNCB Coaches, very good detail and colors, the finish is perfect with a mat paintwork. The close coupling is very good and works well on your 1srt radius curves. Cheers, Paul.🚃🚃👍👍👍
I wanted to run them with one of my Belgian locomotives: they are however all Lima and their couplings are much to high in comparison to these coaches. I just could not couple them. The difference is lore than two millimetre so changing the wheelsets from 12mm to 14mm would not solve the problem. I will probably change the couplings of the Lima locomotives. Stunning carriages. The weight of Maerklin helps it stick to the tracks. Looking forward to seeing them paired with a home locomotive
