I really liked this one, I mean, I'm a sucker for port finishes, so a whiskey AGED in port casks was bound to be up my alley! My favourite of the various single malt batches.

Same! Well, any unique wood or previous fill. And among those port ranks highly!
      Cheers Whiskey Nerd🥃🥃🥃🥃

Great review and notes Mark. I love the fact that Dingle do things right - and this Batch 6 was fantastic. Cheers mate.

Your reviews are comprehensive and a joy to watch. Great job Mark.
Since Dingle 6 is not available in SoCal, I had to pour myself a dram of Milam & Greene Port Cask finished Rye to enjoy your video with. I love everything about Porto/Port.
A votre santé mon ami... 🥃

Sounded good. I have yet to bring a Dingle home. Loved the big fruity notes. Cheers!

Thanks Jon! Funnily @ralfydotcom just included Dingle in his impromptu list of quality producing newer distilleries. Cheers🥃🥃🥃🥃

Visited the distillery in summer 2016... too bad they didn't have any whisky to taste yet. This one sounds quite good 😀

Dingle!! Haha hilarious name. Not encouraged with the intense sweetness notes of your review. How much? Never seen it here in the states.

Hi Will! This was about $130. About as sweet as first fill Oloroso.
It is, and I felt that way too - but it’s the actual name of the city where it’s made!
      Cheers my friend🥃🥃🥃🥃

@@WhiskyWhistle Hey Mark! Wow, that's really pricey for something that sweet! IMO when whiskey is out of balance with the sweetness ratcheted up it is done so to mask imperfections. Glenmorangie X is sweet (and sweeter than G10) but gets away without being cloyingly sweet. But its $35 so I don't mind making a highball with it! Cheers! 🥃🥃🥃

Missed this till now - for finishes you may be right, but this is fully matured in tawny port casks.

@@WhiskyWhistle unless the flavors are masterful, that's seems like a poor value. I just picked up a bottle of Copper Dog blended malt for $30. Have you tried it? Also on the sweeter side but has a neutral finish. Nothing so special though it seems like it'll be a good candidate for Highball use. I haven't made one yet with it but will soon. Cheers Mark!
