I think he’s grossly magnifying the notion of streaming services getting more and more fractured to the point where content is incredibly scattered around the web and will keep getting worse, and Netflix is just throwing tons of money at any and everything hoping things stick but that that strategy likely isn’t going to work forever. They kinda suck at producing their own content but with how fractured the streaming market is getting, they’ll likely be forced to keep producing even more...so if they don’t get any better at that then yeah, they may be done within the next 5-10yrs.

CZcams is no longer promoting home made content but are promoting big companies and safe creators like will smith and Kevin Hart essentially slowly becoming like cable television the very thing you and I were running away from.

What are you people talking about? There are a ton of people who think the same way as him. There are even ex netflix employees who have said as much. Netflix can't sustain themselves at the rate they produce content. And netflix sooner rather than later won't be able to grow the way they do now because eventually so many people will have netflix, and they won't be getting new users which means the monthly cost will constantly increase over time. People have been talking about the inevitability of Netflix being bought or for a long time now. And on the flip side youtube is projected to keep growing for years and years to come. I doubt he's bitter. His stand up gets way more views on youtube than it would on Netflix which has made him able top tour all across the world which is where you actually make money. Most comics, especially on Netflix don't make much at all for their specials. The real reason they make them is to get their name out there so they can sell tickets.
