*The 5 Best FPV Goggles we sold
They dont make the dji Goggles, they are sponsored
@@pieterdeliho1492 they do sell dji
Yeah definitely, just completely biased. This video is trash
They completely forgot orqa, skyzone and aomway
@@nythawkfpv They exclude them.
Why is this video blocked by my ad blocker?
LMFAOOO
IKR! Paid ad is paid.
🤣
Lol
Another honest review brought to you by our sponsors...
Nice to see you Chad:)
Yeah, this hurts to say because I love rotor riot, but this video totally seems like a sponsor-only super biased video and doesn't seem like it can be trusted. Sad to see the misleading info
they didn't even mentioned skyzone cobra which is the best box goggles available in the market, far better than scout and recon....but still😒
100% it was sponsered
I wonder how much they got paid for this ad. Hope it was a lot to pay the bills. If not, selling out cheap is even more sad.
Gotto admit I was kinda surprised by the lineup on this one.
Totally agree
Yeah, I’ll give Drew credit for mentioning it’s what they support and sell.
That said, people who aren’t in the know will miss out on better alternatives.
no skyzone? serious?
Sky one aren’t that popular as fatshark
Cause this is not a real top, the same company who owns FatShark bought rotor riot, search for

@@kenblock349 ah I see thats why, so they are promoting their own stuff
@@revertfpv2928 ya but the title reads best not popular goggles
Doesn't mention skyzone cobras when the blow recons outta the water
Copy that
I think Skyzone got outbid by Fatshark. Fatshark paid them $11 when Skyzone offered $10. LOL.
I was gonna mention them as well
They are also better than scouts! 😂 Better receiver
Maybe because they don't stock them in the store and redcat owns RR and Fatshark.
Ya know whats better than Fpv Goggles
Wendys SPICY NUGGETS baby!!!!!
Yooooooo wendys gimmie a discount
Omg wendys i luv you
Screw off lil dale
@Agent Smith huh maybe u need more practice I don’t have that problem
SPICE 😎🔥
Thumbs down here. The video should be titled " fatshark goggles line and dji fpv goggle presentation".
Usually not one of the Rotor Riot haters but this whole thing screams of "Sponsored Segment".
Ummmm ya isn’t that pretty much what Drew said. This is a promotional video for the products they sell. Why would they try and sell you a product they don’t sell?
@@Prop30001 because there are way better options
@@pablom463 right.... but would you walk into Walmart and expect Best Buy ads on the walls just because some of Best Buys options are better? This video is advertising.... for a store.... Rotoriot is not an impartial reviewer.... they are a store.... that sells specific brands
Title changes to OUR top 5 🤣 - that’s better but should read Rotor Riot Store Our Top 5 we sell
Unsubbed
How are you gonna make a list like this and not mention Skyzone or Orqa?
Well when the company that owns you also owns Fatshark you'd be a fool to advertise the competitions arguably better value and quality goggles.
He actually said the reason which is RR carries the 5 products he's introducing and said you can buy anywhere else if you prefer other goggles. The title is just misleading though.
That Thumbnail tho i bet whoever made it is a BIG MAN
Yeah that thumbnail is kinda spicy
You might be onto sumthin
It is pretty clean must have been done by a HUGE MAN
I think Drew tried to get across the message that this video was based on what RR sells rather than being a totally objective summary of what's on the market but obviously some could interpret it differently. It might have been wise to put a big written disclaimer right up front though. And I don't think I saw the YT "Paid Promotion" message pop up either so I can understand that some folk are a little upset. However, this is the way of the world these days... people have to earn a dollar and ultimately everyone should do as much research as possible using as many independent sources as possible before making *any* purchasing decision.
I agree. This is more of a round of of these particular goggles, not which is number 4 best or the best. Who relies off a rotor riot video to select what goggles they want?
Someone with some good sense I appreciate it. Also who is naive enough to truly believe there are 5 best goggles it's a title like a slogan to increase attention to the video, the "5 best" is something so subjective everyone will have different experiences and find what's best for them. As for the video itself Drew clearly states in the beginning feel free to shop around we are gonna talk about the goggles we carry on our store. Which makes sense why talk about products you don't sell, it's a business for gods sake, advertisement for other products can't be done for free
I agree with you mostly, but it's beyond ridiculous that if you didn't know any better and watched this video, you would come away thinking the DJI goggles can only fly DJI quads and not analog. Especially when you trick out a pair of DJI goggles for a budgetary comparison, include a useless custom face plate and don't show or mention an analog module bay you can easily get for them, I'm sorry, but that's simply inexcusable.
@@heroflying You make a good point there that was a big mistake they should have talked about it
I was thinking exactly the same thing, I didn't see the "paid promotion" message either. I think if that was there was I'd be more understanding.
O look an RR commercial about Fatshark and DJI...who would have thunk it...Lol
But hey, I started out on cyclops box goggles, like watching a Big Screen TV, the only downside for these very cheap goggles ( less than $90 bucks ) is the DVR gets dark after awhile, BUT the screen stays bright and very clear...[ one could wire a better DVR I am sure ] But,then because I wanted non-box goggles like most others, I bought Skyzone 02x's because they were on sale ( less than $200 bucks )and I use them even now and probably will never buy anything else
I have no need of anything else as I am on a fixed income and with the new rules and regs I am sure the hobby will have to change even more over the next few years IF the hobby remains at all.
I know as I have aged and went from RC planes to now mostly micro-quads and still a few micro planes, I probably do not have many more years to fly anyway...SO there ya go.
Well... I guess they have said: Our top 5
What about skyzone and eachine? They make good goggles for thier price. I don't think this is a fair round up.
Right?! What about the cobra x/s box goggles, worlds better than the recons
Sounds a bit like their sponsors have the final say on what’s “best”
Cobra x and s by far the best box goggle
How much did Fatshark pay you guys for this ad? Just curious what the price of integrity goes for on CZcams these days.
Rotor riot and fatshark are part of the same company now, owned by redcat (the company that has it in its best interests to have remote ID go ahead). They didn't pay anything... it's self promotion. Either that or they are breaking several laws by not saying that it includes a paid promotion. Wouldn't put it past them now.
I like that the DJI V2's are all ready dented.
That might not be the V2...
They come that way
😂
@@ericshannon8072 DJI goggles V2 Dented Edition
Guys we know you're sponsored by DJI, and own fatshark, but please actually have humility and accept the recon, hdo2 and scout can all be trumped either for performance or for value by skyzone cobra lines, or skyzone 04x. The DJI already beats the hdo2 because for the same cost you can stick a rapid fire in and have digital and analogue
*the only five goggles we sell
No Orcas... Fake news. Title should be "5 best sponser fpv goggles".
You used to fly Skyzone!!! And they bear the hell out of fatshark especially for the price.
Skyzone and Eachine are killing it with their new goggles!
Yes (the ev300O is technically made by skyzone but with Eachine's name on it.
Yeah, this is all paid bs
@@lucasceleste4743 they can’t promote stuff they don’t sell
No Orqa mention?! The Connect module and constant updates and support makes it revolutionary in the FPV market. FatShark seems dead with their lack of care for the community with things we ask and beg for. You're doing the community a disservice neglecting to mention Orqa FPV!
Shills. Rotor Riot died when Chad and Steele left.
*Also skyzone make great goggles.*
This video actually made me lose some repsect for rotor riot. Even if this isn't a huge advertisement it still lacks the variety of the fpv goggle market. Showing just one company doesn't create a realstic image for newcommers.
You are right, it does can mislead newcommers by a lot, given how popular Rotor Riot is. But it made me lose some respect for them as well...
Hopefully they will notice that (even if they probably already do) and start prefering actually helping newcommers with accurate information about the hobby, rather than just money.
(Sorry if this answer is too long..)
Edit: (*notice that they mislead people)
@@geminitheavali5018 they will certainly notice those dislikes
Was a huge jump for me going from some old eachine vr007’s to attitude v4’s to now HDO’s. Can’t wait to get some dji goggles, hd is where it’s at. Just need the tech to get a tad further along so that racing could be a bit better. Yes we race dji here in Louisiana but usually have some issues along the way but dji is slowly fixing all of that. Can’t wait till it’s perfected.
Awesome! I made a pre-order on DJI Goggles V2, looking forward to flight with🤘🚀
I love RR but how daft do you think your viewers are? This is an ADVERT!!!
I just got the Fatshark Recon V3 for $80 and couldn’t be happier-- I only fly 2s 85mm whoops, so that’s that. I even use the stock antenna and it’s got all the range I need.
But with dji you can put an analog receiver on it tho
I can only get a good image with box goggles...I've tried 2 pairs of the other smaller goggles with no luck. I just bought the cobra x and I'm blown away with how great they are....awesome range and a really clear picture!
Highly recommended if anyone else needs box goggles
I’d still go with analog and focus on flying FPV with camera that have the largest sensor size. Security cameras can also be used as an FPV camera with night vision potential.
Wasn't security cameras what we originally used?! Aren't the current FPV camera just an evolution of those cameras? 🤔
@@SlipperyFPV Yeah, but they had IR filters that were glued onto and difficult to remove... the security camera have a module that turns on these super bright I/R LEDs so it’s very easy to turn any FPV goggle into a pair of night vision goggles or just to see what’s in front of you when you’re out on the field by switching the RX to A/V.
just smooth and precise, I love it!
*Sponsored by FatShark and DJI....
Thank you, this video helped me decide to buy the skyzone 04x
Best goggle discussion that I've found by far.
Where tf is skyzone 🙂

@@kenblock349 okay yes i got that now showing googles on display is okay but atleast they could take name because everyone on fpv knows skyzone is better than fatshark and they are just fooling newcomer
@@avayafpv True, I think the Skyzone's definitely deserve to be on an actual list
They didn't pay them
Got it. I will get the Orqa's!
What is that black vortex patch antenna for the dji goggles? Which website has it in stock? I can’t seem to google it easily.
Lol, can tell they are owned by red cat.
This the most informative goggle video on CZcams?
Great review.
Khm Orqa FPV.One ? Skyzone? Eachine? nope? ok... I'll leave myself out
Gonna be going back lol I already rock DJI with most my builds gonna pull out a old wizard and the old v3 sharks and mod the heck out of them keep on keeping on fellas
What's your opinion on setting up a dji fpv set up on something like a hjk speedwing set-up 400kmh+ plane? I know it's not a quad but iv been trying to find some info on what it will take to try set up the fastest fpv plane with hd but is the latency going to be a issue at those speeds??
I love the small form factor of the fatshark digital googles, especially for use with the dji fpv drone (actually waiting for the dji fpv mini). My goal, to pack a small setup in my travel bag so there’s room for other things too. A small radio is needed too.
If you're looking for a small radio I would recommend the radiomaster zorro. It has served me very well.
thanks for the video!
Really good video....but... no mention of head tracking. I have the Trinity and fits my Dom v1's...will it fit the Attitudes (the goggle that seems to be the one I need)
I find it amazing skyzone aren't in there. Fatsharks are so dated now. Falling behind in so many ways.
Agreed! Fat Shark haven't come up with anything actually new in a long time.Orqa is objectively better at the very top and Skyzone rules the mid-range.
The most thumbs down I have seen on any FPV "Review" ever. Reputations are hard won and easily lost.
would you recommend the Scout over a ev800D?
I started with eachine ev 800d box goggles and later switched to fat shark and i love them. I see everything I need . It all comes to a good camera too. For hd i just use GoPro. Simple. But i do think that there are other goggles out there that are worth mentioning and perform better than some fatshark ones. But again, it's down to personal preference. I do mid-long range flying so i do prefer analog. I will buy the shark bite down the line because I want to use it on micro quads where i prefer the light weight.
Can a shark byte connect to a caddx unit? If so, what’s the module needed?
Could you do a video on the skydio 2?
I would be really interested if you can use it for fpv.
Rotor Riot bought out
Nice Red Cat advert guys! Sadly I cannot recommend this video to anyone who is considering getting into FPV because it is simply a very biased take on FPV goggles and FatShark has some strong competition on the market which were not mentioned here for business purposes (Red Cat is the owner of RotorRiot and FatShark) and not because you kept the user's budget or experience as your priority. I think DJI is only keeping the RotorRiot sponsorship because they don't see FatShark as a competitor.
You don't carry any other brands of goggles like skyzone or aomway? Just fatshark and dji?
What FPV googles doas frsky do? I can't connect DJI Osmo Action to anything different?
Your top 5, but only fatskhark Goggles even when skyzones 04 beat the hdo2, and come whit a module that beat rapidfire... Ok champs
So The Attitude V6 has a hdmi port. does that work on simulators? Can I connect the hdmi from my laptop to the goggles?
Yes you can! I do that all the time with my HDO 1s
- Drew
@@RotorRiot Great! thanks!
Having to watch this in Chrome as it won't work in Brave Browser... Must think it's an advert 🤣
Still have my Fatshark Attitude V2. I even modified it to be used as night vision goggles. lmao I haven’t done FPV in years because of money and have not found a good Quad with a good flight controller with replaceable parts that doesn’t become discontinued... 😕 I miss FPV...
Black was a major issue with the design because it attracted soo much heat in the goggles causing fog. I installed a fan and optics crudely, but it still works.
When using the new fat sharks does it look almost like your screen is at the end of the tunnel or is the screen decently close? I have the eachine EV100 and its like looking through a tunnel with a tiny screen at the end i hate them
Yep burns little squares in your eyes. All the slimline goggles are small like that to varying degrees with the old HD2's being the biggest. I tried a bunch then went back to my EV800D's as it felt relaxing and filled my vision. Then I went digital and the DJI's are better than the EV800D's.
The EV100 have the smallest FOV of any goggles, so every other goggle will have a larger field of view. HDO2 have 46 degrees as compared to the EV100's ~25 so it would be a lot more immersive.
Is there anymore goggles that work with digital that are cheaper
Drew you look like a salesman with his display haha keep up the great channel.
hi very impressed do any of these work with a hubsan zino mini pro ricky
I think the same thing, Mr Steele too, but people hate other opinions 😆
Man. With all this winter weather it's gotten a bit Shilly in here, don't you think?
Does the oled really make the much of a difference why not buy the analog and upgraded when ready
Fat Shark Attitude V6 is good to fly drones with analog but you can upgrade to use digital drones? Can someone help me?
The video is missing the "sponsored" tag and I'm reporting (plus a dislike) it for this.
Which one i can use for fpv simulator?
What about eachine ev800d like first dive into fpv?
A friend of mine has fatshark goggles and he let me fly with them when I was still using diy box goggles. After that, I bought the skyzone 04x set. Smacks fatshark
Very cool to see Paul Hughes carbon face plate on the Rotor Riot store.
I'm loving my Skyzone 03o goggles.
For the newbies! Still watch this video, regardless of the "shilling" comments going on. There is still a lot to learn about switching between analog or digital only that is still very relative to 2022.
“OUR top 5”, “these are the goggles we sell”, “You can shop somewhere else” “these are not the only goggles out there”... I mean they cant say it any clearer that these are goggles they promote because they sell them and because they are good. Sure, they could have titled it “5 FPV goggles we sell, that are not bad- sometimes not the best, sometimes they are- explaining them to beginners”...would YOU have watched a video titled that?
also, all of these are good goggles and the customer service for both companies is amazing
So I need to sell all my Skyzone Google's to get some Fatsharks or DJI 🤔 lol no I don't think so guy's... Skyzone are in my top 5, ok customer service isn't great with Skyzone but their goggles need to be in this line up 😏
#FlySafe #StaySafe
Other brands are available but we ain't getting paid to advertise them 🤣🤣 I predict a riot 😁
After almost 1 year I am still at option 1 😅 they are still working good enough for bandos , but not for great distances and thick trees 🤙
So what do you guys recommend if a person only has one eye that works? I would need corrective lens (or ability to wear glasses) but my right eye is worthless and does nothing. Thanks
Box goggles like Scout, Recon, Eachine ev800d, and skyzone Cobra often work for people with one eye.
@@JoshuaBardwell Thanks!
If someone can fly with one hand, I see no problem with one eye. The drone only has one cam, it doesn't broadcast in stereo image
Where do i buy the attitude v6?
Good thing is that the DJI goggles are on sale now
As a drone 'noob', are there any direct capture/controls to PC available instead of cellphone? Or say Linux phones?
There's the ImmersionRC Powerplay and other stuff like it, but it's around 100$ usually. Still, analog video looks bad. Maybe think about the InstaGO mini cam
@Johnny Street Sign Thanks, I was thinking of say a laptop.
They should have a banner saying " THIS IS AN ADVERTISEMENT, NOT A REVIEW"
Can you put a tbs fusion modual in the attitude v6's?
Yea it works for em
so... skyzone sky04x are not a valid option for Rotor Riot???
Unfortunately, we have not been able to work with sky zone in a capacity that gives us the confidence that we can support the product. And unless we can support and stand by the product, we won’t carry it and won’t be promoting it in a video. It takes more than just being the “better product” to get on our store and on our channel, we have to believe that we can guarantee it will work for our customers in the long term.
- Drew
@@RotorRiot "stand by the product"

I see what you did there redcat
What should I get for the Bubito drone?

This is like more of a sponsored advertisement then an actual recommendation for people.
Ev800d are diversity with dvr for less than the scout or the recon and you can upgrade the antenna.
Exactly.
I love the EV800D, but in fairness, he did say Fat Shark has better support, so... I mean... he's right about that. But I also think when you're spending $100ish or less on goggles, maybe support isn't nearly the concern it needs to be compared to spending $300 and up, too.
@@heroflying You do have a very fair point, yes. However I mean when i've ran the EV800ds for over 7 months without any issues, If there is an issue with them i'm sure I can contact my local shop and they will get something sorted for me if it's in warranty. But personally great customer support in a £80 goggle isn't on my top priorities list. It would be if I was spending £200+ on a goggle, yes.
Dope!!!
Not a single skyzone goggle? What kind of overview is this?
Remember when rotor riot was about freestyle fpv and not just an advertisement channel?
