Hello lowko, just a dane here to tell you that "en væg/væggen" is meant for walls inside, like you guessed we also have "en mur/muren" for walls mostly used for outside

2-3 min is usually the standard time before the first real scouting units make contact with the enemy. So I think 2-2.5 min is always a perfect skip as long as there is no mega cheese involved.
As a general viewer, I appreciate the edit. Your the only StarCraft I watch and I don't have any complaints. Thanks for the great videos.

I like skipping, especially when it’s a close series and you want to get right back into the action. That being said, I also like when you cast from zero seconds, because you often talk about other things going on in the Starcraft 2 scene, share stories about pros, and give cool insights into the game during those first couple minutes when not much is going on in game. It’s super interesting and fun to hear your personal thoughts on the game and sometimes little stories from your life. Just my two cents!
Could start at minute zero but multiply the game speed for the first 2-5 min also.
Start at 2:00 if nothing’s going on, but if you start earlier you owe us a “Helloo everyone…!”
As a dane i need to tell you: "væggen" is more like "the house wall". For a castle wall or a wall that stops people its "muren" ;-)

Lowko, have you ever considered doing recap/summary videos of some of the major tournaments? I'm one of the viewers that no longer plays and only watches your videos on a regular basis because I really enjoy your color commentary style, and I'd really like to have a bit more... context surrounding where these games were played within the pro scene.

Wow, MaxPax lost his first Stalker at like 8:04 into the game. Insane micro! That's one of the cleanest games I've ever seen from any player of any race.

Didn't hear that the first go around, but that's exactly what it was.
While 'væggen' in danish do mean 'the wall' is mostly use to mean inner walls in a building. The outer walls, the more sturdy stone/brick walls, are more often called 'muren' which also mean 'the wall' and is more closely to the german and dutch words.
The danish word for the wall would be Muren. Væggen is like a plaster wall indoor.
Væg can be all kinds of wall but mur is a brickwall. Mur from latin belive it or not.

39:48 IMHO Solar seems to prioritize drones over queen production compared to Serral, and doesn't position them as effectively to preempt oracle flybys as Serral. I think Serral's micro is also probably a bit better.

I would really enjoy you adding some dead space to the end of your videos. Nothing spoils the match point games like accidentally noticing there's like 5 or 10m left when one player is a point behind.

I have no problem with skipping 1 or 2 minutes. But on youtube, the viewer can skip ahead whenever they want. Leaving the starting minutes in makes it the viewer’s choice.

Come on, don't take Die Mauer from ShowtimE. Give MaxPax something different, but similarly badass. Something that implies defense, but also suggests strong macro, the kind that allowed him to survive game 2 for as long as he did. How about "The Castle?"
How about 'the microscope' since he's so good at microing? Hmm could sound kinda lame
maybe call him "MaxPax the Immortal". It implies that he's dang near impossible to kill. And it ties in nicely to one of Protoss' strongest units, the Immortal. Which by the way, is a dead dragoon that keeps on fighting!
Lowko the reason you've been mostly casting T v X is because you are a Terran and your heart is drawn to them.
Maxpax's identity is still unknown, right? If that's still true, then I think he could be someone like Stats.

I prefer no skipping for first game. Forces more anecdotes, jokes etc. Then after first game, 3-4 min skip is ok.

Doesn't look familiar to me, but that doesn't mean much. I had that same thought a video or two ago where I swear Lowko had posted the replay before because his comments during the beginning were something I swear I heard before.
Or maybe we just watch a ton of these videos, and there is only so much variation that can happen at this level, so it always seems familiar?

We’re sure. Back in the day, he and beastyqt used to do some 2v2 tourney and Max would be on the stream in voice only.

Solar just had no answers to MaxPax in game 1. Thos oracles just destroyed his focus.
Its always interesting to me hoe other races keep a worker lead over zerg. Aren't zerg suposed to be the high worker race?
you usually don't kill SCVs with a single baneling and you need more than two adepts to one shot them.
probes don't evaporate upon building + you can chronoboost them.
and zergs are harassed the most. you don't see as many attempts to kill P's or T's economy.
so basically zergs can have more workers than other races given the equal harassment levels. protoss will have a little less and terran will have the least.
Not at first. Zerg production is faster only if they have one more base, or same bases but injected by queens. Protoss chronoboost is available from the start, making probes faster than Zerg initially (first base). Mules are available about at the same time as queens, but they start mining immediately and are equivalent to 6 extra SCVs mining - two injects. So Terran also has more resources early on. That’s why the other races *must* harass early

? In the early game Protoss obviously should always have a worker lead over other races. The rest of the time there are tons of build and strategic situations that can result in workers getting to live... worker leads happen for all races including Zerg.

I can tell you why a bug like this can sneak it's way into the game, it's because Blizzard has become a bit of a clownshow these days

I prefer if you skip the first bit of a game, provided it's 'the standard'. I think you've been doing a great job at that since you started skipping. If 'the standard' is suddenly changing (like with the Erik-opener) it's nice to see it a couple of times early on, but you've always done that anyway. So; keep skipping the first 2-3 min of standard play as far as I'm concerned, especially with the 1 or 2 sentence recap you always give.
I've been watching Starcraft 2 since pretty much the beginning (way back when Day[9] played his brother in a show match on Shattered Temple back in WoL Alpha) and my favorite change to the game BY FAR has been the increase of the number of starting workers.
Same goes for fast-forwarding 10 min of re-building from scratch in viewer-submitted games.
thats cuz zerg anti air is trash. at this point ppl have figured out how to harass zerg. i honestly would love if the queen wasnt a thing. if the queen was no longer a unit. its such a crippling unit for early game. it used to be zerg was the aggressor while the other 2 races were on defense and countered. now u see more often that zerg is mainly on defense because the other races are just not only better at base defense, but add to the counter attacks and harass. its more often that the zerg is on defense which is crazy.
Zerg has creep which helps them a lot on the defense by seeing incoming attacks and making their units much and more because this mechanic is strong you can’t really buff zerg offensive capabilities very easily or else it gets out of hand very fast.
Zerg is pretty much forced into the defensive position because of this. You can play as the aggressor with zerg still but pretty much every push has to tech based. The issue with tech is it can be scouted and people got very good at reaper control oricals and adept shade.
Only true in the early game, then Zerg is the aggressor. Also after the early game the other races are not better at base defense - Zerg's creep and faster army and production means it has a much better defensive response.

To be honest, Zerg is the only race where early game production losses are expected, simply because they have no airborne way to harrass while also having the slowest anti-air options for similar levels of investment. It's hardly a wonder Zerg is the least played across the ladder - between the higher requirements of having to manage creep spread while doing everything else, you guarantee you're a punching bag for the first 5 minutes of every match - who'd sign up for that?
@@KingOfNebbishes You think Zerg needs early game flying units? What? How? With a Hatch tech Spire? 😂You've got it completely backwards and don't seem to understand the basics of Zerg. They have the least production losses early game because they only make army when they need to. If Zerg had to make flying harass units early game, that means even more production losses because they sacrifice larva and drones to make those units, then lose those harass units to the other races defense, which as I said is better in the early game.
No one "figured out" how to harass Zerg, they always did that because that's literally how the game was designed. Protoss and Terran have to harass and/or do timing attacks to slow the Zerg economy. The game would suck horribly if all 3 races were designed the same.
I'm a 4.5KMMR Zerg - it is very easy to get there so I'm not sure why you're making it sound like its difficult to play Zerg on ladder. I can give you some tips if you want. Its not until GM it starts to get harder.
@hivetech4903 Hung it up in 2012. And all I said was it's hard to sell folks on playing Zerg when you need higher relative APM and you have to be willing to sit and get punched over and over early game. There's a reason Zerg has been the least popular race for half a decade. I don't think they need early flyers, I think they need a touch more anti air ability, even if it means shifting some power budget on queens again.
