When Indians have a plan, they would first of all tell the whole world about their plan, congratulate themselves about the plan, boast about their plan, dream about their plan, compare others with their plan, ridicule others with their plan and in the end, can't even recall what was the plan 😉
    Examples:
    - Make in India
    - Self-reliant India
    - Astronauts to space by 2015
    - Replacing China as the factory of the world by 2025 (according to Modi at the launch of Make in India 2015)
    - $5 trillion economy by 2025
    - Manufacturing to contribute 25% of India's economy by 2020 (it's now only 12%, down from 16% in 2016)
    - 20 million jobs creation a year (only 7 million as of today and only 2 million of those are formal employments)
    - HSR by 2023 (now postponed to 2028. To be postponed again by 2028 to 2033, then 2037, after that 2045)

Didn't Apple set up factories in India to diversify but in the end go back to China due to India's supply chain issue. It's easier said and done for a country to build factories to make said item but it requires experience, knowledge, specialise equipment, raw materials, transportation, labour and energy cost; all these things China has in place and not many countries have all these in place and need to invest before attracting these major manufacturing industries. Car makers like Tesla, Mercedes for example can make all their cars at US/Germany but the profit they will get will be reduce they need to raise the cost of the car itself making it less attractive and competitive.

One uses chopsticks, the others uses bare hand. The most developed country in ASEAN is Singapore, a nation populated by predominantly Chinese an East Asian origin people.

Actually, 6 out of Top 10 battery manufacturers are Chinese, and collectively they produce more than 70% of EV batteries. Moreover, LG, Samsung, and SK all build their battery factories in China because of the industry supply chain. Roughly 90% of batteries are manufactured in China. BTW, Chinese companies also hold more than half of the IPs in batteries industry……One more thing, battery industry is not even considered as a a “world leading” industry in China since Korean companies occupied quite a market share. China’s “real monopolized industries” are: rare earth refining, UHV transmission equipment, harbor machinery, civil and commercial drone, solar panel…the list goes on…

Comparing India to China is akin to comparing Pakistan to Japan , Bangladesh/Nepal to South Korea , Sri Lanka to Taiwan . One group is influenced by Chinese civilization, the others group is influenced by Indian civilization. Two different class. One is Yellow the others is Brown/Dark. One uses chopsticks, the others uses bare hand. The most developed country in ASEAN is Singapore, a nation populated by predominantly Chinese an East Asian origin people.
One group collectively & consistently ranked within the world top 10-20 in IQ Test, PISA Score, University Rank, International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) & Mathematical Olympiad standing shoulder to shoulder with western world ....while the others group collectively & consistently ranked somewhere in the middle out of 100+ participant nation standing shoulder to shoulder with some failed states & banana republic.
It's like comparing some Africans countries with Europe. No developed countries exist outside of Western & East Asian world.
