August 25, 2021… I felt prompted to hear this beautiful talk again. 11 years have passed, and how applicable are his words at this very moment. I am so grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ that keeps me full of hope and love. All is well. God truly does provide safety for the soul. I loved how Elder Holland ended… “Remember this declaration by Jesus, Himself, “Whoso treasureth up my word shall NOT be deceived and in the last days, neither your heart nor your faith will fail you.”” Many hearts are failing, don’t let yours falter. We can overcome all, with the help of our Savior through the Book of Mormon. ♥️

I was thinking the same exact thing. I need to feast on the Book of Mormon more. I believe it’s true, and it’s extremely difficult for me to say otherwise, not because it would challenge my belief, but because of what the book contains and how it would’ve come forth if it wasn’t divinely provided.
This talk is so powerful. Elder Holland is so great at bearing his testimony with conviction and power.
This talk is an answer to my prayers. I've been away from studying the book of mormon for a while. During those times, I started to experience a lot of heart pain because of intrusive thoughts that I deal with on a daily basis. I'm starting to go back to studying the word of god, even though it's hard. But it's either that, or I end up having my heart fail. I dont want that. For the sake of my testimony and for righteousness sake. Thank you Elder Holland.
If this means anything, I also struggle with intrusive thoughts every single day. It used to give me extreme anxiety and panic attacks. I study the Book of Mormon everyday and it has helped me a lot and I know how you feel about having intrusive thoughts. Thankfully it has gotten a lot better, and it can for you too.
I’m so glad I came across this talk again. Every time I watch it I feel his conviction and am reminded of the truth of his words. So grateful we are able to go back listen to prophets and apostles so easily. What a blessing!!!
as i listen to this, in 2020, it is coming to pass, so many hearts , are failing! But Our souls will sing forever, Oh divine Redeemer!!
As I listen to this talk, It has given me assurance of the power of god through the book of Mormon. I have started reading the book of Mormon again after 3 years, and so far I have learned so much about Jesus Christ and the Power god has given us to follow up. I' m grateful for this wonderful talk thank you so my Elder Holland.

I remember when this talk was given. I was seating on the couch with my husband watching General Conference. We felt every word he said! One of my favorite talks of Elder Holland. I always think about this talk. So powerful.

We’ve been blessed with the knowledge that provides us with these talks with the touch of a finger. For so long we’ve had to receive it through the church magazines and pray that we will save them

They saw the plates with their spiritual eyes, not their natural eyes. As a man can see a city through a mountain.
"No wicked man could write such a book as this" Why not? What is it about the Book of Mormon that a wicked man couldn't write it?
Read and understand it and you'll see why
@@jonathanhopkins8565 I have read it and it has some truth in it, but any false teacher can mix truth with false teachings. What is it about the book that a wicked man couldn't write it?
@@Dustin_McNab From a writers perspective, it is impossible to write any work especially alone. Without imparting bias. The book of Mormon is written so clearly by someone other than Joseph and with a will towards good that could no be written by evil. This is why.

Read it and you'll know.
I mean, if you have such doubts. Just go ahead and replicate it... You'll find out why a any man wouldnt be able to write it alone real fast. The other thing is especially now it's kinda hard to account for all the geographic and historical accuracies that would have had to have been pure luck or divine intervention to have been in that book in the year it was published.
