Jeffrey R. Holland - Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come. www.lds.org/general-conferenc...
13 months ago my wife of 19 years unexpectedly passed away at 43. About a month later I found this talk. I have listened to it so many times, I could repeat it to you. It has come to mean alot to me. When I'm at my lowest, worrying about my kids, feeling lost, when I "...do truly feel at sea, in the most frightening sence of that term", I listen to it and it give me hope. Sometime for a while, sometimes for only hours. However it does give me hope. My favorite part is "He is your Heavenly Father, and surely He matches with His own the tears His children shed." I know my most poignant tear are for my children, and knowing my Heavely Father shares my tear, brings me comfort.
I was on my mission when he gave this talk. It was significant then, and it clearly remains significant now. I hope you will keep this message of hope burning in your heart as you struggle, however imperfectly, to move forward with faith.
“Every one of us has times when we need to know things will get better. My declaration is that that is precisely what the gospel of Jesus Christ offers us, especially in times of need.”
I hope your darkest days have now become extremely bright. These past two weeks have been the hardest of my life. I’m still working on digging out of the trenches and reaching towards it grabbing a hold of the LIGHT
I first listened to this talk laying on the floor of an upstairs apartment with no A/C after several hours of tracting in the July Wisconsin heat and humidity on a fast Sunday while my mission companion made some ramen noodles.
This is just soo beautiful. I have been repeating to watch to for over 5years when a mormon missionary preach me. Until now i am always in tears everytime i watch this
17:02 I am less than 24 hours from leaving on my mission, and after enduring what must have been an hour-long montage of my worst moments and greatest failures, this was exactly what I needed to hear. God truly knows what we need. He hears our cries of desperation and anguish. God bless this man, and every prophet, now and forever.
Dogs And songs imagine the smile you’ll have on your face once you’re through this season of your life you’re in. Without hard times, you wouldn’t appreciate the good times. Keep your head up.

I truly know and believe God's love for us all in his servants voice
Once again he and his words lift me from the abyss.

This talk is a special one. It got me through some especially trying times. I think this was the best Elder Holland ever gave us.

October 1999 Talk
The Darkness compliments the light!
We cannot have darkness without light! Isn't there a Conference talk about that subject?
He will always use those of opposite faith to humble the house of Israel. Like King Nebuchadnezzar! Like Lucifer and Satan and the darkness!
The Bright And Morning star is Lucifer ...not Yeshua
