I wouldn’t say I’m an expert on the subject but like many places human resources are running low in the world even in the state of Punjab it is predicted the water resources will eventually run low, knowing this the Indian government want to bully the state of Punjab by forcing them to share their waters with the rest of india by building this SYL tunnel using this as another way to once again oppress the people of Punjab.
Punjab recognises other states may need the water but won’t give in to bully boy tactics from the governments. The Sikh’s are still waiting for justice for 1984 where the Indian government stormed the golden temple looking for freedom fighter Bhindranwale and killed many innocent people including women and children who were just there peacefully praying. In the result of this horrific attack on innocent people the Sikh’s eventually assassinated the Indian prime minister at the time who ordered the attack on the golden Temple.

I'll ellaborate it from the knowledge i have, basically punjab was a nation and our last king was maharaja ranjit singh you can search for him online, after few years britishers occupied panjaab (punjab) and after so called freedom in 1947 it got divided in india and pakistan as chardha panjaan and lehnda panjaab. Afterthat, a new state Himachal was made from it and in 1966 another state haryana was formed and panjaab remained very small. Now the topic of SYL (satluj yamuna link) it is under possesion of present day panjaab and haryana and rajasthan wants the water from those rivers in free of cost and a leader is telling that if their government will be made in haryana in 2024 and haryana will got the water possesion till 2025 . But sidhu moosewala is telling that you should recombine the panjaab and we will solve the matter of water on our own, the another reason behind this demand is that there is power of majority in india and minorities are considered as secondary citizens there so sikhs want their seprate country in regards of their self respect and safety. This is all about this, you can search more about the total on internet by typing 1984 genocides but the numbers shown of deaths is incorrect there were thousands of innocents killed by indian government in golden temple in 1984 just for arresting few sikhs.
