@@realfangplays Tbf in that entire mini game series you don't need to press any button at all and then suddenly the game assumes you will know to press a button despite not needing them at all before and them not telling you. To me that just reads as bad ux design.

MatPat being absolutely terrified of the baby plushies…but shooing scrap baby away like she’s a mosquito is absolutely hilarious. FNAF wouldn’t even be FNAF without him.
I got nausea from all the minigames that involved baby plushes, because he just spins around and thorw things in all directions; especially the last fazerblast game

It’s so interesting how in the medical attention game, the anamatronics only attack if helpy is screaming, even when they very clearly see you they only attack if he’s screaming, cause they think you’re hurting him. Also at the beginning when it tells you what helpy is suffering from, it seems similar to the things that the crying child went through? ‘Parental neglect’, and there was also head trauma or something? Maybe it is a reference? Idk though
I see that but the animatronics are also attracted to the sound of the tv ads. and i hope Matpat dives deeper into those Helpy voice lines too because I agree that it felt related

Watching matpat try everything to make the defribilator work except the most obvious thing, pressing a button, is a perfect summary of this entire channel.
That drove me mad. I have no idea how he never even tried to do that when all the other 2 action things like guns and the scanner are used the same way.

A good example are his Mário is evil videos, all the little things over the years the game presents that aren't meant to be thought about too hard but all add up to paint a deferent picture of mario.

Matpat playing Princess Quest IV and actually swinging the sword with a little bit of precision has absolutely tickled my brain in a way that is unexplainable.

Just a little tip, the gravestone princess quest puzzle if done wrong only opens the door and doing it right unlocks something else
Whats the right order and what does it do?
@@trash__queeniirc it goes Chica (zero), Foxy (one), Freddy (two), Bonnie (three), Golden Freddy (four), Puppet (five). When done in this order, it opens a second room that contains a chest. Inside is a Bonnie mask (one made for a person, with holes for eyes) and the text "This looks familiar..."

@@luckyloke5971it could be the order they finally got released? The order kind of fits the happiest day mini game with how the puppet mask fell to the ground last.
I think it's interesting to note that the hard mode Roxy minigame basically tells us youre playing DURING security breach (or as others have pointed out between sb/ruin), so I wonder if the ending (if it means she's split from Vanny) implies that during the course of SB, she genuinely did remove the influence and turn good.
I took it as right before we meet roxy in ruin.
Spoilers for the end of the video: If you count all of the light orbs visible for the graveyard puzzle, it adds up to ten. And on the mural of the door to the very next hallway, there appear to be ten gravestones underneath the tree. This could be suggesting that there are 10 souls that have been properly laid to rest, with the one missing from Golden Freddy's tombstone most likely being Cassidy who has refused to move on. If we add Cassidy's soul to the list alongside one for William Afton who is unable to move on for similar reasons, we get up to 12 souls. If we count up the number of people who's deaths are strongly associated with the franchise, we actually only get 10. The main four of the cast, the puppet, Cassidy, William Afton, Michael Afton, Elizabeth Afton, and the Crying Child. That could imply that there are two more people who have been killed and possess animatronics that we aren't yet aware of.
I would add Henry dying in the Fnaf six fire, and the theorized Suicide of Mrs Afton
Early on in the play through, I remember MatPat calling out how much importance was randomly placed on Sun & Moon out of the blue, & I think this ending makes it make sense. Moon was corrupted, Sun wasn’t. It’s the same for Vanny & Vanessa. Moon helping Vanny in this ending makes me wonder if it was symbolic, or if it was as literal as Moon also overcoming Glitchtrap as well.
If Moon is meant to represent corruption, perhaps his strange presence in the burning pizzeria levels is meant to reference how Henry’s plan ultimately failed bc Afton still found a way to escape/come back
Also wondering if the whole “the cheese is so REAL” bit is a very FNAF-y way of conveying it’s the “real” ending

Well Afton is apparently not Burntrap so Afton might be dead and the burning pizzeria levels might actually reveal the actual ending of security breach.
The two endings that it could represent is the fire exit ending and the Burntrap ending.
But what about Eclipse? The whole idea in Ruin was that Sun AND Moon were dysfunctional alone. So if they're parallel with Vanessa and Vanny, then... I'm not smart enough to figure out anything... I'm just gonna point out Eclipse!
and so this "real" ending is the canon ending from my perspective of how your explaining it, and if so than i have three questions; what does it mean?, where is the story going to go? and is that all this game was meant for or is there more lore, i mean LOOOOOOOORRREEEE!!!!!!, behind who we are playing as and why we are here? and the last question came up because throughout the entire game baby and moon were pointing out why are we *the character we play as* so "special", and to whom are we so special to?(as this being my fourth and final, maybe *obviously not*, question).
@@bane21221 Eclipse, to me at least, comes across as a version of Sun that’s allowed to function in the dark/has influence over moon, but the short scene we see of him, there’s nothing that suggests Moon had been freed at that time-Just that Sun had control again. Plus, the two being turned into a security node implied in some way, they had earned the trust of whoever locked glitchtrap up in the first place, even if Moon was still corrupted at the time

My biggest problem with believing the secret ending to be good, is the fact it’s Glitchtrap (or at least his arm) giving you the plushies that unlocks that ending. Why would he hand you the keys to his demise. I’m more likely to believe Vanny is not crushing Glitchtrap, but retrieving him. After all Glitchtrap’s silhouette didn’t seem particularly concerned as he casually waves before being crushed,
Fair point. A part of me does think that Glitchtrap would be arrogant enough to think that by helping you, the player, it'll allow himself to escape. He waves at Vanny, thinking she'll take him in without a second thought, but instead she crushes him as a sign of being able to live without him. But that's just a theory, A GAME-

I would like to point out that the achievement was called "consequences" with MatPat talking about how it reminds him of old man consequences. I think this could also be a detail towards something or not, I think the achievement description should be read at some point in time.
The Old Man is called “OMC” in the game files, so he’s pretty much confirmed to be him

OMC has to be William Afton because of his links to Bill (Not William) in fazbear’s fright story with the boy that gets his fortune told by foxy. OMC’s room being the only one with William’s Screams (Which is about his obsession with Michael instead of begging for Michael to save him). How when GF (Cassidy and Crying Child) glitches the OMC area in fnaf world, we see a hidden screen/ending of a man holding two children.
Not to mention, it makes the most since if the Glitchtrap is OMC in HW2 and he’s been trying to give you everything you need to destroy him. Which means, OMC and that part of Glitchtrap must be the some person/personality, William Afton.

I think we should remember that the game was definitely in development before Ruin came out. So I don't think they are explaining unclear things (Roxy's mask) because of the fandom's confusion. I think they were always planning to have questions in Ruin and some answers in HW2
Although you're right, and that is the most likely explanation for most of the things, it's not hard to think that at least a few things were tweaked or added in a direct response to confusion or questions.
This is a very important observation, a game of this scale isn't made in a couple months. It is *possible* that the mask bit was added late into development, I think it's a pretty huge leap to make.

This case would be conceptualizing, modeling, texturing, coding, testing, and bug fixing an entire VR game. These two things are VERY incomparable in terms of scale and time needed.

The recording is darker than the actual game for some reason. It’s the same way for Markiplier’s videos. I’ve played the game and it’s nowhere near that dark because otherwise it would be almost unplayable lol.

I interpreted the ending much differently watching you play it. It almost looks like Vanny integrates glitch trap, not destroys him. Glitch trap doesn’t look scared, but looks very content with what’s happening. He also waves, and then Vanny waves in turn. Her movements look a lot like how glitch trap moves, especially in the secret ending of the first help wanted. That along with the fact you trade the mask for the glitch makes me think that it’s almost suggesting that Vanny gave up the mask making her Vanny and instead is now fully integrated the glitch, no longer needing the mask. I don’t know lore very well so there may be a ton of holes in that, but the pathos of that ending did not seem like an overcoming moment, but something way more sinister.

I interpreted it similarly, but a bit different. I think, she destroyed Glitchtrap only to take his place. She now is the one in control, and actively decides to stay evil.
@@Alexseya she did wave at the end similarly to the way Glitchtrap waved to her before she crushed him and her going into the smoke could symbolise the fact that Vanny is now gone, possibly forever.

I think most of us can agree (after seeing Mat be floored, TWICE) that the FNAF series is in good hands with Steel Wool. Click team still has a hand in it as well which is so cool the FNAF series now have multiple companies working together to bring us the story and answers, Clickteam with the simpler games (FNAF 1-UCN) then Steel Wool with the more complex and open games (Help wanted 1, SB, Ruin, HW2) and now Blumhouse with the movies and Scott still has main say over it all and it’s great

Isn't it weird that Monty hasn't had a designated game? It's cool that the Sister Location cast, Sun and Moon, and even Scrap Baby get so much attention, but Monty's only cameo seems to be Bonnie Bowl as a trap.

Ash has clearly watched other playthroughs at this point & is trying to coach Matt on what he should do without straight-up telling him, and it's hilarious.
A Clap and a Half to the editing team! I LOVE how instead of just showing MatPat on the couch as he recaps to theory craft, they show game play footage that matches what he's saying. 🤩
I can't put into words the absolute elation I was feeling throughout the whole time MatPat was slowly getting closer to finding the secret memory plush in the fizzy-faz minigame (Graveyard Drink).
Ash's inputs at the end are why I love her so much as a co-host of Gtlive! Mirror Matt was great, as well, but I just love the fact that Ash is immersed and can contribute to Matt's discussion with a grounding in the lore, I feel like it helped Matt also brainstorm better on the spot.
That and Ash has a good eye and they can spot certain details that Mat can't see in the moment, like the Sodaroni can! They were also right about the order of the tombstones and weren't afraid to tell Mat that it didn't feel like the correct order.
Ash is such a good co-host because you can tell they have a genuine interest in everything and also know how to get mat to say the things we want to hear and know. They're wonderful at what they do
@@nikknightThey’re good as a straight man to Matt in a way. He’s constantly looking into little details that he sometimes misses things that are in his face so to have an outside party looking and mentioning those kinds of things really benefits these videos.

Honestly, I'm enjoying these dragged out parts of the series. It reminds me of the old days when MatPat and Steph would live stream. I also work late nights and sleep during most of the day so when I don't have time to watch these videos during the day I can watch them during the night right before bed, so thank you Matt for this content. I'm sure we all don't mind you milking this game 😂

Haven't played it myself but it feels like the soda game benefits from waiting for the last second to hit the 'fulfillment' button on the machine, so that the refills from the workers can catch up for the next one.
Honestly all the masks on the dolls he’s collecting reminds me of the Happiest Day minigame VERY strongly
And with the remember Jeremy? Achievement, if he is Bonny bro and wa ether won the “happiest day” then they plushies (specifically the Bonnie one) would cause him to remember (could he have blocked it out?)
The weird part to me was that it was Moon that handed the plush to Vanny. As someone who we’d been fighting throughout the game, it surprises me that _he’s_ the one to give her, essentially, the ability to break free from the curse.
I’m not sure how much relevance moon has in the lore, so right now I’m just assuming they used moon because he’s a fan favorite and because he already has a wire attached to his back so using him in place of a claw machine is practical.

I think it’s that thing where Moon can really cause harm, while Sun isn’t one to really do that (despite that in the coloring mini-game he does at least one jumpscare). Not too sure but moon actually has a goal to stop the player while Sun just wants to have fun.
It's because she's not freed. Moon is acting on her behalf and they are both still corrupted.
A part of me really hopes Vanny gets her time to shine as a villain. Building her up for like 2 games only for her to get like 5 minutes max in Security Breach will always be so disappointing. Do whatever you want with the Mimic or Gregory(if he somehow ends up being evil or under someone's control again), just let Vanny have some time in the spotlight properly at least

I really don't think that PQ4 is happy ending, we don't see Vanessa coming out of the scene, we see giant Vanny with red glow in the eyes. that scene reads to me as apprentice has overgrown their master, and got rid of him, to become the new terror.
Right. When SB came out, I was defending her to no end. I was saying that this was her first appearance as a villain and to give her time. Only for the next game to say “oops shes good now” with the PQ ending being canon.

Guys sorry to inform you but she isn't coming back. The PQ4 ending is her literally killing glitchtrap and freeing himself from him, his animation in the files its him literally dying. There's no way to say it isn't, because it literally is. sorry for breaking your hopes.

The mask can't be what turned Roxy good, because Roxy tried to save Cassy even after we shoved a fazwrench straight into her eyeball. But I still think that it's interesting. I hope for a game theory soon 🙏
I don't think Vanny is gone, the opposite in fact. I think this is essentially the student becoming the master. I think she is a case of Glitchtrap getting in over his head, trying to create a servant but instead created something much worse. This isn't the end of Vanny, it's the beginning of her reign.
I feel like what might be “weird” about gaining life in princess quest is tied to William’s gain of immortality. In life, we gain and lose health naturally, which is why that is not what the princess feels weird about. Instead she feels weird about finding extra life in chests, finding extended life in the opportunities in her environment. I think the chests represent the things one has to do to achieve “immortality” which for William was temporary extra life. Maybe William was using Vanny to extend her life or his own by the same opportunities. In any case, I think the princess feels uneasy about it either because the extra life is unnatural or because there is something she had to do (likely killing assuming she represents Vanessa/Vanny) to get it.
Immortality was what in the locked chest all along.
Oh I like what you said, that reminds me what I always felt when I first saw princess quest played which was that the princess must feel odd because it is unnatural to find ways to give yourself, by random chance finding it too, extra chances at life or prolonging your expected life. That was my first impression was a thought like “oh this must be, outside the context of playing a game and living as long as you can, very odd to extend your life in such a strange and weird way by finding extra life stowed away and taking it.”

Hey Matt you missed something when you found the room with the player at the arcade machine if you were to have looked around and not hit them immediately you would have seen the princess Amy actual environment as well
I've always have thought that the order was the thing that was retconned because hints to the actual order are hinted at so explicitly in later games. I don't think the order was as significant for earlier lore, but now that theories are going into character motivation it does matter.
I went back and watched some of Mat’s Ruin playthrough I noticed something. Under the objectives there are messages. In “FNAF Ruin, What Does This Ending Mean?!” At 21:46 it says “Deactivate the Bonnie Bowl parent nodes. I’m lonely” and at 45:33 it says “Deactivate the final node in Roxy Raceway. Happy Birthday Cassie.” If who we’re playing as in Help Wanted 2 is Cassie’s dad and he becomes the mask bot that gives Cassie the mask then is he the one communicating to her through these messages.
A little more out there theory is that he’s the one leaving the AR collectables around for her to collect. A lot of them is old merch and Cassie’s commentary for the collectables are things that her dad likes.

I don't know if it's just me, but that ending seemed more sinister to me than a "good ending" with just the way she disappears. With all the references to Sister Location and Baby showing up quite a lot in this game, I feel like this harkens back to an earlier theory that Baby's moving into a position to be the big bad. She possibly may have even been coded into the same chips that Afton was from the remnants of FNAF 6 and her mask being deactivated in Security Breach in the Blob. What if Vanessa was also part Baby somewhat (I know Vanessa was always seen as Baby/Elizabeth's representation in a lot of theories at least) and that part is finally moving past her dad and taking up the mantle. Also, the fact that you take the Sister Location elevator into that claw machine in the ending just feels too deliberate.
I want to point out that the memory dolls achievement for getting the first one was called “remember Jeremy” I feel that’s actually important to the ending as that’s an important line mentioned in the first vr game now mentioned here tied to an ending

The mask isn't the part of Roxy that's "good", because if you'll remember the security node (and mask) are deactivated, and then Roxy still saves Cassie from the Mimic.
If anything, it explains why Roxy's endo (in the face) seemed to change between games. It didn't, it's just a mask.
But that's such an insignificant detail to add/change

My thought process and interpretation of this was very different from Matts. My perspective was that our character, Cassies dad, was the big brother to Bonnie, he narrowly escaped Afton, but knew what happened to his brother. He comes back to the location that we're at to uncover the truth, and Vanny helps him find his memories (the plushies) and in return we help free her from Glitch trap. BUT THATS JUST A THEORY, my theory haha. Im not a FNAF expert by any means.

They didn't change the type of clue, and the direction on whom it would of been from even though the dialog got cut. And knowing the audience and how thorough the fans are bound to be found and talked about anyway. 🐰

I believe that the timeline for this game is during and after security breach. You start as the technician doing his normal runs then are called back to repair the animatronics after the events of security breach. That's why you see everything decay as you progress through the levels.

I've always thought of Chica's "I was the first line" (as of the ultimate timeline) as referring to her as a concept, not the dead spirit. In the timeline, Chica was placed as a Henry invention from before the merger, making her one of, if not the earliest, created of the core 4.
The spirit in chika said it was the first. Which i believe is suzie. He lured her away by promising to bring back her dead dog.
also, for the mask-helpy-glitchtrap thing. I'm pretty sure Helpy disappeared because he (as shown in Ruin) is connected to the mask, which you gave away to Old Man Red, seeming to free both Vanny and you from the corruptions' influences.
The fact that Roxy asked for the mask could also be telling us that Help Wanted 2 could be placed before the Ruins DLC and after Security Breach. If it really is, that explains why Shattered Roxy in Security Breach has a different design in Ruins.
well dang i think you're right, it also makes sense why we don't see vanny in there and since we gave the mask back to the old man (OMC) that cassie could get it. Plus ruins ending is with the mimic, not glitchtrap
There are a few things that hint that it is between SB and Ruin, and all of the animatronics except I think Sun/Moon are in their shattered and not Ruined state without the mask. Since we don't really know what happened to Sun/Moon it's safe to assume they stayed safe enough to not get any worse like the others.
Also in Ruin we see Princess Quest IV on its side, destroyed, with the sword sticking out of it which also suggest that it takes places after Help Wanted 2
Spoilers for the other ending(the one Matpat hasn't seen), but...
We do see more evidence of Help Wanted 2 being before Ruin, as we see the player get killed, before seemingly possessing Maskbot to give the mask to Cassie. Plus the thing with Roxanne, Vanny/Vanessa not showing up in Ruin, Glitchtrap seemingly being gone, and whilst we seem to be playing as Cassie's Dad, and Cassie's dad is dead by the time of Ruin, we do see Cassie's dad die in one of the HW2 endings.
You gotta love how mattpat was so determined about popping balloons or the numbered balloons in security breach and now there is actual balloons you can pop in help wanted 2. Steel wool looking after ya.
I so enjoy watching MatPat play these VR games and find all the lore, cause I could never. Buuut I think I'm gonna have to limit how much I do watch. The way he moves his head and how it makes the whole screen move and shake gives me a headache/stomachache.
Interesting how the secret ending achievement is called Consequences. It feels like FNAF World where you can go too deep. If you go three layers down, you can't get out. You go from the VR game to the PQ4 game arcade and then to the game itself. The Red King is parallel to Old Man Consequences. When you enter the elevator is parallel to drowning in the lake.
Sad Mat didn't see the princess running around him, the Nightmarionne plush or the solution to the graves (which does give us the order of deaths of the MCI)

I think the Roxy mask just explains how Roxy wasn't deactivated when in ruin you deactivate her. You only deactivate her mask. But I don't think the mask is what makes her kind towards Cassie.
The thing I would suggest is "consequences" suggests that what was done in that part ks not necessarily a good thing. We traded Vanny for Glitchtrap, a "fair trade", but to make a fair trade you replace one with another. We delivered Glitchtrap to Vanny, so she could destroy it, but perhaps seal Vanny as its own entity now.
Vanessa maybe free of Vanny, but that doesn't mean Vanny is gone.

@@thephony1651 I think we are beyond everything bad being a consequence of Afton's. We gave the Vanny Mask over to Old Man Consequences to get the glitchy rabbit....a "fair trade" seems to replace Glitchtrap with Vanny....but a small portion of Glitchtrap escapes into Cassy
I wonder if by giving the mask over, that's whoever we play as giving up the power of choice for the power of glitchtrap. When vanny takes the bunny away from us, it's more like we're giving up something like our will or maybe our body, and she destroys it as if a symbol of we can't leave now?

The teleportation mechanism is a very clever way to subtly hint towards the 1st person PQ later on. Like it has a purpose, like you need it to get from the platforms, but once you get to 1st person PQ you realize that they gave that to you so that you could move around in VR, since you can’t just like walk around. Anyways I love 1st person PQ
