My son want to be engineer, that's why i told him to watch your channel. Now he is motivated to become like you, and we have a father and son bonding while watching you, thanks man!
Sana all. Goodluck po!
That is so sweet! what a good father 💕
Hope your son becomes a successful Engineer someday sir 😊
this is soooo so adorableee 🥺🥺
Sana lahat ng tatay katulad nyo. Malas lang talaga namin ng mga kapatid ko sa tatay.
Thanks for the birthday greetings fam ❤️
Pa heart Engr
Happy birthday Engineer! See u"SLATER poo ♥️😍"
Happy Birthday!!!
Happy birthday, Slater! 🥳🥳🥳
Happy birthday po
That is why my dream house is not just 1 house but 3 houses, one child-friendly, one resort feel, and one accessible to all my needs (Workspace).
Same 👌🏻
Cluster type sagot dyan parang different buildings pero magkakalapit lang
me, a separate small guest house that is soundproof! respect to neighbors.
Butch Fajardo mine too. for a privacy in our home too
Good idea sir!
I love how this person gives us advice like a close friend.
True
Thank you for this! Thank you for not being too proud to admit that not everything that looks perfect really is perfect. It takes a lot of humility to make a vlog like this. Very helpful for a lot of people to learn from! More power to you guys!
04:40 It's basically called the Greenhouse effect, that's why you can't just build an all-glass house, there has to be some form of ventilation. This is also true with slab roofing since the slab will absorb all that heat from the sun during day and emit it inside during the night. You can't just build slab roofing or glass house just because you like it, you need to mind the side effect and how to counter it. One way to counter heat is to put tall trees around the house, if you can and don't mind cleaning dead leaves on your gutter every now and then. You can also look into evaporative cooling system, but requires large window openings for air movement. For slab, there has to be heat reflective insulation under the slab with ample moving air layer in between. You can also try one-way mirror film on sides directly hit by the sun.
Agreed. I don't know a lot about houses, but the first thing I thought when I first saw the skypod is how hot it would be with the all-glass construction (not to mention the amount of work needed to keep it clean). I'm not trying to start any arguments here, but I think it's silly to build a house like this on a very tropical country like ours. And this problem is only going to get worse over time because of global warming. Remember when mornings were still cool until around lunch time? That was the case almost 20 years ago. It's not too farfetched for there to be a time when the sun is already scorching hot at 6 or 7am. The house definitely looks great though (arguably the best looking house I've seen in the country).
I'm sure they already thought of those things. They hired professionals & Slater himself is a professional. He was just sharing the tiny details that they overlooked during planning.
@@TerencePonce They live high up in Busay, Cebu, which is a mountainous area that has colder winds, stronger breezes, lots of greenery, and is less densely packed. The heat is mostly felt during summer but is no problem during the wet season. Anybody would be crazy to build a house like this in a subdivision within Metro Manila but it's doable in a place like Busay with a few tweaks that he mentioned in this video.
@@petersun1610 Thanks for the info. This is actually the first time I've heard about the area they're living in. All I know is that they're somewhere in Cebu based on public information.
I love the honesty! Thank you for sharing your regrets. It makes us feel okay with any misses we have in our humble homes. Regardless of the errors, the SKYPOD still is one of the prettiest properties out there! Kudos, Slater and Kryz!
There's no perfect home talaga Eng. Slater, sabi nga ng prof ko sa design dapat talaga daw talaga versatile yung spaces para easy to convert lang po whenever a situation arises.
the typical coffee broll intro. level up na cinematography & editing skills nimo engr!
im not even interested about engineering stuff but there's something about people that talk passionately about their passion/life. it really pulls you
Happy Birthday Engr. Slater Young! more blessings to come to you and the whole SKYFAM!
I'm not even an engineer pero I just love watching Slater explains things about the house stuff. Kryz and Slater have lots of wisdom that you will not be bored talaga to watch them. 😊
Your editing skills and cinematography is on another level. Keep it up sir slater 🙏
dayumm who's editing Sir Slater's videos? so aesthetically pleasing, manly and clean
No he hires an editor. His names Juanico 🔥

sa dami ng gamit ng wife ko, i know the kind of dream house for us! a warehouse! hahahahaha!!
😂
💀💀💀💀
🤣🤣😅
lmao Hahha
Lmao😂
Galing ng editooor and the song ang bg music choices! 💯
I’m learning so much from your vlog. Really took notes of the things for our future home. More vlogs about engineering stuff, at least for us na di engineers can easily understand your world at di kami madaling maloko ng iba. Love from Zamboanga 🥰
It would be funny if the video started with him saying “Nothing” tapos biglang black screen for the rest of the video HAHAHAHA
I think pwede ka Professor. You teach so well, and I feel that you love it, the passion, it reflects. ❤️
Thank you for sharing your work and wisdom. You did a great job! When the baby starts walking and running, he will touch everything. He will bump into sharp corners. I take care of a 2 yr old grandson. Baby proofing will be next project so you can enjoy the physical playing. Things will change and the way you use the house will change again.
My dad is a civil engineer for more than 20 years now but he still keep commiting mistakes.. Yet, he learn from those.. Nothing or no one is perfect. 😊
I am a lover of all black kitchens or kitchens with colors that have blue or black. So, glad you didn't go for another all white kitchens like everyone else.
Happy Birthday, Engr. Have a good one! God bless.
Grabe the editing, the intro, everything has greatly improved! Kudos, engr! Happy birthday!
Great for u to share your experiences in house design. No perfect house, never mind, just a happy and loving family will make up for all minor irritations.
You know what slater, lalo mo kong pinahanga, admitting your regrets were so amazing.
This is great. My child is a architecture student, 1st year. Very valuable info, thank you for posting this!
Happy birthday, Engineer Young! ❤️🥳
Honestly, you guys are the only vloggers where I don't skip ads. Heart heart
I really like this episode kay gina discuss nimu ang unsay mas maimprove pa sa work during construction and after. As an architect, another checklist ni pagcheck sa site before, during, and after the construction. Thanks, Engr. Slater!
that's a learning process, so thankful for sharing it honestly so that viewers could somehow anticipate things and prevent them when they plan to do their own house na.
hoping for more vlogs on pros and cons pa on house construction, Engineer!
thanks!
I'm planning to buy and build my own home in the next two years, your vid is informative 👍 Thanks! 😊
I feel motivated because of your content. Thank You Engineer! Kudos po. I'm a future Civil Engineer, When I watch your videos I put learnings.
I agree with you Slater. Thank you for your recommendations. I Appreciated you alot. I'll try your recos especially the "Solar outdoor light". :)
There is no slater vlog that i dont like talaga. Very informative, honest, down-to-earth ng mga vlogs nyo po PLUSSSSS the cinematography and background music are really 👌👌👌 more power to u po!
What if yung outro is: "I'll see you guyS LATER" MHMMMMMMMM... 🤔
Hmmmm 🤔
@@thatguyslater antayin ko sa next vlog mo engr! Baka sakali hmmmm... 🤔
ang witty mo sir 😂👀
Yan na ang outro ni Bailey Sarian
i heard him saying that from his previous vlogs
Happy Birthday Engineer! God bless po sa SkyFam💞
Happy Birthday, Slater! God bless you always.
Love that "See you sLATER!" in the end! 👌 anyway, happy birthday Engr! 🤘
Beautiful house, there will always be regrets. I built modernist house in the UK 17 years ago. I had a solar control glass on the facades that took in the orientation of the sun, I also had electromagnetic glass to the front facades for privacy. The window frames were hugely expensive, Schuco frames. Structurally bonded glass to frames for seamless look. Great job with the house , I may build a house in the Philippines one day, so great to see design ideas and cues. God bless 🙏
Ang ganda ni Kryz dito! 😍 super effortless. She's pretty already sa vlogs nya, pero today's different. So relaxed and soft.
quality of the videos just keeps getting and better 🥺💕
Nakakatuwa na you're being honest sa flaws ng sarili mong design. Sobrang ina idolize na kita ngayon sr. Slater
Thanks for sharing your regrets! I find this very helpful.
Salute to you both at least everyone knows that nothing is perfect in this world. Just be content & happy of what one have while working for the better. 👍💗
Waiting for Mr Oliver to react on this and do some recommendations
Happy Birthday, Slater Young! 🤍
Really appreciate your videos, and the friendly way in which you explain, I know you must have thought about this, but you can put manual or automatic shades on the outside of you glass walls of your bedroom, to keep it cool when the sunrays are directly falling on the glass and heating the room.
Solid Content Engr. Nice cinematography, transitions and Editing
Nice informative videos as always. I hope you can give us a tour of the house you grew up in or your parents house and talk about the engineering stuff in it like you always do. More power to your videos!!
Love the SKYPOD even if it's not perfect. 😊 Happy birthday, Mr. Slater! 🎊🥳🎉
Nakaka-good vibes yung vid. Very chill at ganda ng aura ni Slater. Ganda din ng editing.
Thank you Slater, inspired to build my family home now. Happy New Year from PNG 🇵🇬
Haha you two look like best friends when talking about your home
Super helpful po ng mga structural and decision-making tips niyo! More power to you po!
Thank you so much for this video, "SEE YOU SLATER" very witty
Kriz and your vlogs are therapy. ❤️
Happy Birthday Engr. Slater! Continue inspiring us 💗
"ako pala talaga, ako pala talaga 😂" hehehe
Loveyou SKYFam!
i love the editing 🥰 and thank you so much for sharing this, engr!
I love this. We learn things from mistake. Keep it up Mr. Slater
Thanks for generously sharing your experiences.
grabe mala "david guison" yung transition ang ganda! Nice editing skills Sir Slater 👏👏👏
kinikilig ako sa transition ng cam. i love how the editor did his job
Love your house despite some minor regrets you mentioned. Your bedroom is better facing East and getting the morning sun. If your room is facing West, the heat will be scorching hot. You're good you chose the right spot.
Waaa, this is the video that u want to watch just to feel relaxed and educated at the same time.
Naks! Lumulevel up na yung editing 👏🏼 love it po
I Love the transition in the beggining
the intro tho, thats how u should flex peeps hindi yung naka starbucks then lakad
Ang saya ko lagi kapag nag-a-upload kayo ng ms. Kryz ng content. Thanks!
Happy Birthday Engr. Slater Young wish you and your family good health, keep safe and more power to your channel. Keep uploading videos which are very useful for us.
Thank you for sharing! You are the best!
Kudos sa Skyfam! Napakaraming learnings. :)
Loving this one over the other videos for some reason, and it's nice you also got the perspective of Kryz. There's al ways just a feeling of the grass is always greener on the other side. Haha. I wanna work hard and earn enough to be able to build a house that is designed by professionals like yours :)
I can tell na super OC si slater. Hahahaha. And man I totally I understand. Even the smallest detail na namamali bothers me a lot. Hahaha
@@joyempe.2865 I know. Well aware of it 😅
@@elliemarie2056 then edit it. it might offend slater :)
@@gela2258 Sorry. pero diko po maintindihan kung bakit nakakaoffend yun. There's nothing wrong with being OC.
@@joyempe.2865 OC and OCD are different, if im not mistaken.
thank you so much, i wanted a minimalist house, your tips are awesome
Aba, aba! That intro, pang laban sa mga vlogs ni Kryz hahahahahaha.
Love you three, Skyfam!
Happy Birthday sir slater, more blessings and videos to come. Keep safe always. 😊
I really like watching slater's vids. super simple lang. 😊 informative and well thought of talaga. peaceful and calm demeanor like slater. love kryz too! kalma lang ba.
Hi slater, this is so informative, thanku for giving ideas when building a house, keep it up!😊👍
In a grand scheme of things.. it’s a beautiful home and loving it..Big time❤️. you’re just nitpicking..
transitions are so smooth ❤️
You’d definitely wish you added more rooms or rooms are bigger especially when your kids are older. They’d want privacy, their friends would come over or even sleepover, they’d have more stuff (study table, books, etc) and the like. 😅
Grabeh super yaman! super blessed nyo po! how big is your house maaliwalas talaga..
Chill intro, chill weather, chill content 👌
just put an awning and have the glass tinted .Its an easy fix. I learned a lot. If the tiles are really sharp use a sanding block to blunt the sharp edge of the tile. Dont sand the top part just the protruding edge
I idolize you sir engr. for accepting your mistakes, small details lang nman.. 👍
I LOVE THE I'LL SEE YOU SLATER OUTRO HAHAHA IT'S SO WITTY! WHY DON'T YOU HAVE 1M SUBS THO. YOUR CONTENTS ARE BOMBS!
Grabe the production of this vid ah! 😍
I love Sir Slater and Maam Kryzzz❤️❤️❤️ You two are super adorable with Scottie boo😘
Will liteblock last the test of time?
What if it has a short lifespan, unlike regular cement blocks and its components 🤔
happy birthday, engr! have a good one!
Nonetheless, the Skypod is sooooo beautiful! Industrial but very homey and refreshing to stay in kasi it’s “connected” to the outdoors in a way. 💖
The Skypod still Awesome Love it wish i have one too ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
I admire your honesty sir for sharing us your mistakes even though your an Engineeer
Super interesting, thank you so much for sharing!
The tile gaps can indeed be annoying, but I just learned to accept that not everything can or will be perfect. Even if you're able to perfect 99.9% of your tiles, that 1 slab that's slightly uneven will just stick in your mind, discounting the perfection of the 99.9%. And even if you do get the tiles perfect, you will eventually find something to get annoyed about like the slightly protruding hinge, or not perfectly set corners, etc. So don't sweat the little things. :) You already have a home that's more beautiful than most of the people you will ever meet. :)
We live for this new editing skilzzz 👏🏻❤️
also cinematography 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Happy birthday Slater, hello SKY fam!
whoa. the music. the editing. ganda lahat. very nice intro
