Multiplayer Monday idea: You each build a boat with a vacuum pump connected to a chest filled with concrete. The goal is to sink the other ships by building (Adding weight until they sink) on them using the vacuum pump. (Day 10)

I’ve never realized how long I’ve really been watching Scrapman compared to other CZcamsrs until I really just think ALL the way back to the first video I watched of his. At that time, I was basically new to CZcams, and didn’t even have an account. After watching Scrapman’s video, I expanded to other CZcamsrs.
So technically, Scrapman is the whole reason I am on CZcams right now.

Idea: Robotic arm challenge.
Everyone has to build a robotic arm to pick up an object and put it in another container. For the multiplayer aspect a time limit could be added and see who can move the most in that time. For example, scrapman uses his arm to move 5 balls in 5 minutes
Then they slap it on a buggy

Basic material car challenge ideas:
1. Maze/Race: Build cars entirely out of material rods (besides the basic parts) and have collectors along the course that you need to circumnavigate to get to the other end.
2. Basic material car derby: build cars with basic material rods on one end and collectors on the other, no other weapons allowed, last person with rods on their car wins.
3. Time trial1: one person with a material rod car and two people with collector cars try to immobilize the car.
4. Time trail 2: two people with cars made of/covered with material rods. One person has to try to collect as many rods as possible from the others before time runs out.
To find the bolts or markers easier just put a bearing on it so you can find it with the connect tool

Id love to see REMATCHES. Some of the multiplayer challenges didnt go too well. Be interesting to see how you guys learned since the original challenge
Multiplayer Monday weight lifting challenge in Scrap Mechanic. Limited the build size, and maybe the number of pushing blocks (pistons, thrusters). Keep adding weight (concrete) till it cannot lift bottom layer above set height (15-20 blocks). Maybe a bonus round for highest lift of third places max weight.
I CHALLENGE YOU TO MAKE ESCALATORS IN SCRAP MECHANIC. (Also you can’t just make a conveyer belt with bearings and blocks that wrap around stairs, though that would still be cool to see)

You should use bearings to mark the length since they don't have any collision and they have a connection points.

So the thing where the tree goes through the ball doesn't depend on speed, it just depends on if the tree happens the be in the position of the ball. although a slower speed shortens the distance between the tree in the first frame and the second frame. this could be avoided using something called raycast. A raycast is a feature that draws with a 1 dimensional pixel a line between the midpoint of the first position (where it is in the first frame) a object is in, and the second position (where it is in the second frame). If there's a object in the line, the moving object will be teleported to the position the raycast first hit. Otherwise the programm would not detect the moving object hitting a wall, if it happend to not be touching the object in the first and second frame. You mostly need this for small, fast moving objects, like bullets. For bigger objects, a spherecast is used. This works the same way, but instead of drawing a line, it draws with a sphere (=SPHEREcast).
SUGGESTION: Build and race a vehicle where all the controls are delayed by one second. Meaning you must turn or brake a little ahead of time.
You can increase the delay for even more ridiculousness.
I'm not that familiar with Scrap Mechanic, but it should be possible in Trailmaker.

I’ve got 2 great ideas:
1: get 2 trees and find an AT-ST creation from Star Wars. Anybody that remembers return of the Jedi will know what to do.
2: make helicopters except the blades are trees.
hey, scrapman vid idea. You should use the map you used in the (SILLIEST BARREL ROLL RACE! (GRAVITY ONLY!) - Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer Monday! Ep 86) and make drifters or sleds and race down. no glitches 2 thrusters and no brakes you don't have to but it would be cool. By the way, moonbo made the map so he might have it. next multiplayer Monday you could do it.
Ya'll missed a very simple/cool mechanical solution. It's alllll about centre of mass!
Having 3 different bat weights means that the heavier bats are gonna have thier centre of mass further away from the bearing, which ends up meaning that you lose energy to gravity pulling the whole thing down and adding that torque on an axis you don't want.
Now you might ask, yeah i can calibrate my machine to balance the centre of mass for ONE tree, but i cant calibrate it to all 3... right?... WRONG!!!
How do you think a cyclist changes the centre of mass when they ride a bike? They're not adding or subtracting mass. They're just moving where the mass is located. Lean over to the left slightly, and the centre of mass will follow and conform to this new shape.
My solution:
Take Scrapman's build as a base. then seperate the thruster section from the free spinning bearing, by putting a few pistons in between. depending on the rules, you could edit the piston lengths during play as you see fit, but if you aren't allowed to edit those variables, then just make 4-5 pistons with like 10 block intervals, and hook them up to thier own buttons each.
By moving the full counterweight closer or further away from the bearing, you're dragging that centre of mass with it. therefore you can counter literally any weight. Sure... for the oak tree, you may very well have to push the counterweight 50 blocks outwards. but It'll stop the whole thing from buckling under the weight like it did when scrapman and kan tried to swing the oak tree.
Also, this has the added effect of mechanical advantage. the thrusters of the very tip give so much more force to the swing then the thrusters still at the base of the bearing. ever tried to push a door open from the hinge side? bloody impossible right? comparably, you can push a door open from the handle side with just your pinky, no sweet. So not only would adjusting the pistons allow you to adjust for the different weights, it would also help apply more reasonable amounts of force to the heavier trees without needing to edit the thruster speeds. This is also why scrap mechanic flyers have all their Yaw/Pitch/Roll thrusters as far away from the centre of the ship as possible, they simply make a bigger difference than a thruster close to the centre of mass. just in case all the pistons were extended to thier fullest, and the oak tree STILL tilts the whole thing down, some backup thrusters could be put on the counterweight pointing down, to basically apply some pitch force as well.
The only thing I'm concerned about with my solution is the fact that scrap mechanic would probably make the pistons "bend" so you might have to have 2 or 3 pistons per "segment"

Multi-player Idea: make a Rock climber with satisfying and complicated suspension using only sign blocks for building

Raw resource launching challenge. Build a machine to launch the resource "pegs" as far as possible two shots with each peg (wood, stone and metal).
I’m pretty sure the reason why the trunks were phasing through the balls was that the trunk rotated through faster than the time step of the physics engine; think of it as a frame before, the tree is behind the ball; the next frame it’s on the other side of the ball, and since you’re dealing with rotation and angles, the physics engine is probably having trouble detecting the collision
7:16 kinda was expecting kAN to build a bat like creation like the one he made when comodo was in every MM

How about a Tree trunk wheel race, everybody has to build a car or "vehicle" that is capable of using tree trunks as wheels, but without testing and the luck of the draw determines which tree trunk you have to use for the race
Wood age Flinstones cars? That's what I imagine. It'd be the first truly stable and glitchless Vanilla bike, technically.

Multiplayer Monday idea you have to make something to yeet the tree as hight as possible make a sensor thing to count it or make a borad with diffrent colors and you can count points like that
Idea: you must build a land vehicle, water vehicle and air vehicle in a 3 part relay race. First being the water race. You must build a race boat that can carry your land vehicle to the land part of the race. Once you’re on land you must have your land vehicle be able to carry your air vehicle to the top of the mountain and launch yourself in your air vehicle to the finish line
Kan with the wood jokes off the bat. Of course.

Idea: Play skeet shooting, but with TANKS!
I'm pretty certain you don't actually have to slow down and get the ball to hit you just slow down so that the tick happens in what is a longer time So it registers theoretically if you keep it spinning at full speed and just wait for the tick from the game engine to coincide with you hitting the ball it's just a shorter period of time that you're trying to have the game register that you're actually hitting it
Had a interesting thought. When y'all place markers for distant based challenges, why not use the modded laser beam so it shines the marker in the sky? Think it would look cool and be easier to find and for viewers to see and judge as well!!!

You need the pistons on max speed for them to flap as little as possible...
If you leave them on default they'll flap around a lot more...
I mean... that's like my comment on every video where pistons and their "incorrect" use are involved and complained about, and still, no one seems to really pay attention to the fact. :D
Multiplayer Monday idea: turn the trees into your vehicles and do a race or have a log hauling challenge
Trailmakers idea: Who can buils the best rock crawler? you have to drive over the ring thing in the danger zone map or up the mountain you start with low powerscore like only 3 type low, to really get the crawl experiance.
for the next mm pls make tractor pulling. for increase the weight you can lower the wheels so that the friction increases

You guys should build individual untested machines for the sizes of trees and try the same thing again. That should allow for reinforcement, and larger swing force for the larger trees without having the smaller clip through
