Recently bought a 2012 C70 T5. I love it! The engine is great with a wonderful sound. Sending my car for a detail clean this coming week to bring it back to showroom condition.
Yes I like the car too. There's nothing else like it in its class! Tip, want the best stuff for your car go with boat cleaners, coatings, waxes, and most important if you have leather -clean twice a year. But boat products are not that much more expensive, or can be the same as car cleaners and waxes. But boat products they just are on a different level better than car products. Boats take a beating worse than cars. . (and if you want to get 2 mpg better mileage and protect your engine from dry starts, AND pays for itself? Slick 50 oil treatment, preferably the "original" and not the "High Mileage" Slick 50. Twice a year, summer and winter. Promise 2 mpg better mileage and better lubrication. Unless you go Amsoil 100% Synthetic. That's really good stuff too!) Take care and hope you enjoy your Volvo for a long time!
Very cool car video - my brothers family survived a direct head on collision in the 2011 model with a Mercedes at around 100km/h - both cars exploded and ended up still facing each other just 2m from each other !!! Looked like a bomb exploded
However, I saw first hand how the front end components all made their way into their designated end placement including the engine block, which was redirected down into the road, and the floor concertina’d and absorbed the energy that saved their lives - multiple broken bones in both driver’s wrists ( the steering wheel rim broke 😳), both ankles broken, multiple cuts from windscreen, passenger femurs broken, etc etc = 3 weeks in ICU
One other item to note was that the roof was down which allowed the paramedics access to both pax, while the jaws of life were used to cut the door hinges out of the bodywork to get the pax out of the car - they could not cut through the roll over bar/windscreen surround !! Really, really strong stuff !!!!
My brother (motor journalist test driving the C70 just after the media launch here in SA 🇿🇦) and his wife are still alive because they were in a Volvo - 2 of the 3 guys in the other car that hit them, died on the scene

Just found out yesterday that u can move the roof manually if it gets stuck using a 4 and 6 mm Allen key. Good to know. A youtube video shows u how to fo it. Great car generally.
Or remove the 20amp fuse and hope it resets and allow you to close..
Apparently, they come equipped with automatic car jack disintegrate rays built into the undercarriage.

I had a mechanic once tell me that he will not take care of any Volkswagens that are more than 3 years old. They're approval rating goes way down once they got a few years on them

I got one of these a few days ago. 2006 Premium pack in excellent, almost showroom condition.
I hadn't considered a Volvo before and was looking at a convertible Merc CLK 200 Kompressors, then saw this. A much nicer car in my opinion.

I just bought this car a week ago!
I got one when it was 3 years old. My car is still in perfect condition. Drives like a dream. Never had to do anything besides change a battery and do the brakes and it was even in an accident. I had it done fixed up with a warranty. Just a perfect car just perfect. Especially if you still have friends or kids because they actually have room in the back seat. I laugh at people with Alexis because the obviously don't have two other people they can put in the car that was Lexus

I’ve got a 2012 but I agree that the 2008, for instance, mostly looks better.
What in hell is that satnav? Lol. We have the RTI satnav in our 2008 C70 & it's clunky even by 2008 standards but does the job.

Sorry, I’ve owned a 745t, 945t, 855t, V70 and this C70. The C70 was by far the worst of the bunch. Between 100,000 and 125,000 miles the radiator cracked, a coolant line burst, the headliners fell, 4 cracked wheels, the roof’s hydraulic pump failed (water pools in the bottom of the trunk behind the seats where the pump is and rusts it out) and a door latch cable broke. Just endless issues. I sold it. My other Volvos ran over 200,000 miles with no problems except the V70 needs a premium battery every 18 months. The C70 is a fair weather weekend car.
i drive a c70 as a daily for 12 Years now and never had such issues. sorry to hear u had such a bad experience. i love the car

The C70 has "sceisse" build quality,Is based on C30 ...
I love V40(2012-2019)S80,S90,S60,XC70,V70,V90,V90 Cross Country, but C30,S40,V50,C70 are sceisse !
