Comment of the year ~2023
Credits to Will for being such an authentic and cool guy, I really enjoy all of his videos, but man, also to the editor, he does such a great job, the videos keep me entertained the whole time and they've just the right amount of effects and stuff not to look over-edited. 10/10. Keep up the good work! :)
Thanks for the kind words man! (editor)

This is a nothing comment. NPC.
I 1000% agree, keep it up editor.
@@Burner-xc2wq credit to you for being annoying as fuck
@@Burner-xc2wq You must be miserable
Will, this probably gets lost in the comments. But if you do a deload week now (esp for your legs), you should do another scan after that. It is very possible that your legs will gain lean mass because of the delayed recovery. This often happens when you overtrain for a restricted amount of time.
Also, before/after is awesome, one can clearly see the fat loss.
Thats exactly what i thought i was really hoping he would do that
That's why pros shock the body will new coaching , to overcome plateaus...
good point and i agree 100 percent with you and will say yes can clearly see the fat loss . and will add for me natty or not i stick with every other day that way every workout is intense
Youâre the goat Will. Thank you for inspiring to hit the gym. I started at 313lbs a month ago and this morning I stepped on the scale and iâm at 294lbs! Iâve failed to many times trying to lose this weight and iâm not gonna fail again!please keep up this amazing content, youâre a legend Will!

@@12venni no worries tho! i already tried crash dieting and thatâs how i ended up at 313 haha. thanks to Will tho he gave out a proper routine for the gym and I learned how to cook at home. So those 2 things iâve learned helped me create a proper and balanced routine for myself and since then iâve been feeling amazing, mentality wise :) my goal is to average 250lbs and see how i look from there!

The edits in this video are incredible! Loving the style and format you and your editors are going with!
Totally agree!
@Ashvin same. Now the videos are just Jesse James style (or even Mr beast) which is good for views, but itâs hard for me to tune in for more than like 2 mins without cringing and clicking off.

@ashvinâ fair point, not everyone will like the editing style. Itâd be easy to recreate the home style youâre referring to by simply removing 90% of the music and sounds effects. But both Will and I would be depressed making/watching the videos after just doing that. I try to do 50% Hollywood cinematic aesthetic and 50% raw vlog to try and get the best of both worlds. But again, not everyone will like it. Will himself tells me he loves the edits, and he tells it like it is. So I use that as a general compass
I think this is the best video youâve made in a while, and thatâs saying something. Thanks for the content Will
Amazing video Will!! Iâm so happy youâre doing more of these videos again that are focused on you. I love the collars but itâs nice to spend some quality time with the man of the hour himself!
Dude your videos are just getting more funny. The subtle edits and sound design are on point

GG Will, GG :) I can definitely tell your arms bulked up! Also, I LOVE how you edit these videos. Honestly you're my favorite fitness CZcamsr because the content you put out is entertaining on top of educational. You put as much work into your videos as you do your physique, and I seriously admire that. Endlessly funny & entertaining, and your passion for all you do really shows. I ran that split before, very similar experience. Leg days were just brutal. I think once you reach a certain amount of volume required for your legs, I think it makes sense to split the hamstrings and squads into different days. The CNS fatigue is no joke.
100%. Two upper and two lower is king
what split is this?
@@ponzimkr3431 chest/back arms/shoulders legs/posterior chain. Modified upper lower split
I have been doing this split for 3 months now i got used to it and i will return back to my bro split next week. I split the quads and hamstrings in to 2 separate days so i didn't really notice any issues
Outro song name?
Will inspires me to stay consistent with my videos, really enjoy everything he puts out.
This is sick mi gĂŒey! Always love your content and jokes lmao
THE PERSONA 5 MUSIC IS PERFECT FOR YOUR CONTENT BEST VIDEO YET!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome video, Will!
What I learned from it is, if you want to build your arms, volume is key; if you want to build your legs, intensity is key.
Now, I understand that itâs not so simple as that, and this is only what worked for Will. But the theory makes sense intuitively. Itâs not difficult to recover from high-volume on the arms, but recovery is a BITCH after a high-volume leg day. Even during the workout, it takes a lot more mental energy to push through 10 sets of quads than it does to push through 10 sets of triceps.
Theoretically, the volume/intensity variables are the same for all muscle groups. In practice, however, volume should be the emphasis for small muscle groups (arms, shoulders, calves), and intensity should be the emphasis for large muscle groups (quads, glutes, lats, pecs).
If Iâm wrong, correct me! Iâm interested to hear some other perspectives.
High volume and high intensity till your cns is dead. I did that for years and it worked but it definietely made me less motivated to workout cause I would have 0 energy to do anything. It payed off tho.
It works man. I have lagging shoulders and arms. I was always worried about over training them and not having time to recover but I said fuck it! They are still lagging anyway so I started doing at least 3 sets of delts every day unless it was leg day, added an arms and shoulder day and still hit biceps and triceps during back and chest days and my shoulders definitely improved, so did my biceps and triceps in just a matter of months. I regret not doing that before.
High intensity for quads is def the way to go. Check out Yates s videos where he's training a pupils quads .
2 warm ups sets ,1failure set leg extensions
1 or 2 warm up sets , 1 failure set leg press
1 warm up set 1 failure set hack squat .
And that's it for quads
One of the best videos you've made lately! Great work!
Solid work and great video, man!
Loved this video! Can we just give a round of applause for Josh's edits too đđđ
Thanks Amelia, that truly means a lot!
You look HUUUUUGE, Will! Great job, congrats on the results.. hard work does pay off. Thanks for being an inspiration to us :)
I love the new editing style! đź
Solid video Will, results were seriously impressive for only 30 days
I used to absolutely demolish my body at the gym; burnout sets every single day; 6 days a week. Iâm getting older & recovery isnât as easy anymore. I still go as hard as I can, but 4 days a week is a sweet spot, with cardio on my off days. Kudos to people who can sustain this type of training - itâs HARD & admirable, the amount of discipline it takes.
Sick video! Also, the results are very noticeable
This dude, Will is wildly entertaining. Great video man. Nice job grinding. I was waiting for the "In memory of Will Tennyson" at some point in the video. Your will to live (no pun intended) wasn't looking too good.
Hele leuke video met veel info. (Over het land etc) Op een manier wat je nog niet echt vaak hebt gedaan. Vooral meer doen!đ
Will. If you do see this. I want you to know on a personal level how much your channel has helped me not just physically but mentally as well. The little tid bits of motivation and wisdom. Reinsure me that the next day will always be a fresh start. Thank you sincerely, thank you.
Been doing this split with 1 day off for a few years now and I absolutely love it making so much progress. Stick with it Will! Maybe even switch to just 5 days a week if youâre feeling like youâre not recovering enough. The one day a week Sunday cheat meal is a must!!

the quality of your videos is unmathched!
I used to watch your channel a lot back in the day⊠sorta drifted away, happy I stumbled across it again! Subbed and will binge watch for sure! đđ€đ
This is actually how I had been training as a natty. I had the same issues with 6 days a week and the sheer volume. It seemed impossible to recover from. But the gains, I look better than I ever have after 5 months of doing it. I have cut back now though, only doing 1 hour sessions 4-5 days a week instead of 2 hours 6 days a week. I don't regret cutting back, I am still gaining muscle but I can manage it.
One thing I'm curious about is how Will managed the intensity across the 4 weeks.
4 weeks is a good period of training but I feel like a lot of the fatigue could have been managed by starting at a higher RIR (reps in reserve) in week 1 and climbing up in intensity steadily each week, essentially "peaking" in week 4 while accumulating a ton of good volume and stimulus.
Loved the vid đ
Your body gets used to it. I remember I was very unmotivated at a point when I had 0 energy when trying to do dorian's intensity mixed with Arnold's prep volume. For 2 months I wasn't improving, but then I realized, that it wasn't getting worse either. I was plateuing but I could still lift the same weights which was surprising.
At around 5-6 months in I had gained 10lbs of muscle even tho I had made 20lbs the year before so it wasn't newbie gains.
@@mikakoivisto6504 You're on steroids though. Don't forget that.
â@@KTK44 30lbs is achievable with above average genetics. And I didn't gain strength as I said so steroids, really?
He couldda done that, but what would be the point? The point isn't to survive the challenge it to get the most out of it

This was one of the best vids you did in awhile. I was hoping to hear something about what your views are now about the lateral raises everyday thing. Was there no noticable diff?
Sorry, we had to cut that segment due to video runtime constraints but he said the Asian woman thought that his waist got smaller, when in reality his shoulders just got bigger from the lateral raises. By accentuating his V-Taper, it was able to create that effect. Sincerely, Editor
