Toa Payoh Lorong 8 Food Centre | Old School Bak Kut Teh, Mee Siam, Wanton Mee ! | Hawker Eats

This week, we are at Toa Payoh Lorong 8 Market & Hawker Centre for lunch.
Constructed back in 1974, this hawker centre houses 80 cooked food stalls and 77 market stalls. Given it's size, it is one of the largest hawker centres in the Toa Payoh region.
The market and hawker centre are actually under the same building, hence it's really very convenient to come have a bite at the hawker centre after doing marketing. Do note that the location of this hawker centre is not near to any MRT. The nearest MRT would be Braddell MRT, which still require 13 minutes of walk to reach here.
Here's what we tried:
1. Hock Kee Lorong 8 Bak Kut Teh - Bak Kut Teh ($5 portion).
2. Lorong Ah Soo - Mee Siam ($3.50).
3. Hai Kee Noodle - Wanton Mee ($3.50).
4. Tong Seng Coffee Stall - Kopi ($1.20).

Mee Siam doesn't look appetizing bee hoon is pale in color and the whole egg is served how to eat without the egg making a mess.
