With the Pokémon Trading card game recently releasing on the Nintendo Switch I wanted to take some time to talk about 5 facts about the game you might not know!

I've been having a blast playing through this game again.
I'm hoping that by some miracle we end up getting an official release for the sequel game. I've been playing it a bit and it has basically been like a better improved version of the original.

@@Basecase_ I was actually thinking about this exact thing when I was putting together the video.
I'm sure that is pretty much the main reason we never did or will get a sequel to the series.
Sucks though because it's a really fun game.
The sequel is superior in every way and the amount of cards make it more fun and replayable. I got a ROM translated version
Ya I've messed around in it a bit. I really wanted to push through my switch run first though because I know I won't go back if I don't finish lol.

@@xilencered7788 Ya it does have online support, you can even card pop with other players.
From what I hear though getting the 2 rare promo cards from it is tough though.

The Venusaur card isn't obtainable via card pop due to a glitch in any version of the game
Ya I saw that after posting the video.
Kinda sucks, I know it will never happen but Hopefully they fix it for the Switch version. But at least we can still get Mew.

I just want to say that due to a coding error, it's impossible to get the Venusaur card.

@@Tigglez it wont get patched but fret not...some ingenious hackers found a way to transfer a rom save file with the card unlocked via gameshark codes INTO the switch version and so its now being distributed via the Trading feature from the online features, and if your in the US, the SaveState feature allows you to trade cards and not even lose them, you just load the save-state again in offline mode and bam! its back to where it was before you traded your cards to the other player! this way people can give out the venusaurs without losing their own
but this only works if your the only one sending cards, or if your the only one receiving, if its a proper back-n-forth trade where each person gives something to the other, reloading thee save state offline will overwrite that and therefore erase the new cards, but when playing online you can save to the save state slots thereby saving anything you receive
You don't need to win in order for that glitch to register as a win condition. It is a win even if you never dueled that NPC before.

You have to _battle and win_ against at least *1* trainer for the glitch to work

@@dragonmaster613 well then maybe I'm wrong. I couldn't seem to get it to work before I registered a legitimate win. Maybe I was just bad at the glitch.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve beat most trainers with a single Pokémon in my deck. Basic high level pokemon, tons of energy’s, potions, energy removals and etc.

I want to Card Pop!
I never played Pokemon TCG in my entire life until this game got released in the NSO.
I already cleared the game.
Now I understand the hype and I now know how to play Pokemon TCG.
My thoughts:
-Blastoise is OP
-Mr. Mime can go to hell where it belongs
-Screw Jack you Articuno spammer old fart
The game is easy by the end but its rather hard in the beginning.
Funny thing is, Mr. Mime can be made even more annoying if the AI also used Tentacool. The strategy there would be this: Mr. Mime can only take a maximum of 20 damage, you move that 20 damage to Tentacool, whose Pokemon Power allows you to return it to your hand once per turn, so you then replay it ready to receive next turn's 20 damage, over and over. There's an AI in the second game who uses this strategy (the second game also has a combination of an Articuno spammer with Blastoise).
Imakuni is so common knowledge why is it even on this list

It's pronounced PLETH-ER-UH. And I only know because I used to say it incorrectly as well
I'm pretty notorious for mispronouncing things lol!
I try pretty hard to edit it out and be conscience of it when I'm recording but some have probably slipped through.
