The main problem at PSG is that everyone wanted to be Messi, everyone played against him and not with him, including the owner of the club, he made the best and most humble and kindest to apologize, bad fans, bad club, bad city, PSG bad...
I agree. and also PSG have one of the most toxic fan bases in the world, so that didnt help either
Wonderful explanation and good observation. There is nothing to add to your comment
Eventually IM Needs to rest some of his older players ,Messi and Busquets are already showing some signs of fatigues, so therefore they are not totally concern about making the playoff this season ,Next season would be a diffrent story ,I am sure IM Will bring a bodyguard `MF` Player for Messi ,Hope De Paul ` Love from Brazil !

lmfao bad city
Unpopular opinion but everything happens for a reason. As much as I hated watching him treated badly at PSG, it did enable him to train for the World Cup. If he would have gone to Man City I’m not sure that would have happened. Sometimes you have to be out of your comfort zone to thrive. I don’t see it as a waste, but necessary growing pains. Now he’s transforming the MLS and I’m happy to see him so happy here in the States. And he left Europe when he wanted to, not when he had to, and that’s important.
It worked for him to train more physically
Absolutely spot on❤
Correct. Winning the world cup against France was a sweet revenge of all the whistles and boos that he received from the toxic ultras. PSG is bitter sweet chapter of Messi's career.
@@bigeyedbangs To be fair Messi is also definitely a bitter sweet chapter for PSG too 😁. They finally try to build a proper team again and stop bringing superstars not motivated. I don't know the future maybe they will still fail maybe not, but it was a wake up call.
You can call them toxic but the ultras were right from the start. Win or lose the WC would have changed nothing for them. Good for him if he got his "revenge" he deserved to win anyways but no one at PSG ever doubted his talent. Just he never should have came.
That was actually extremely insightful. Don’t expect much of that these days.
PSG wasn't a waste, it allowed Messi to gather and prepare himself for his greatest triumph at the World Cup.
No it wasn't
Finally someone that had also notice what I had been thinking all along. The moment Messi decides to join PSG after his departure from Barcelona I had the same thoughts that he had more chances to win the WC 2022. Why? Because he had more time to rest due to a lack of competition in the French league, which would get him tired physically if he would had stayed in Barcelona, before the start of the WC 2022. If he would stayed in Barcelona the WC would be another story. None did he suspect that he would faced France with Mpappe in the final. It looks like it was destined to happen that way. To suffer at PSG and even during the WC final game before he could lift the World Cup
I don’t think it would matter wich team he went to after Barca he still would save home self to the World Cup it’s not like psg is the only team
@worldcitizenobjectivethink3764 I noticed that messi worked and trained himself top condition using PSG facilities.
It's how he bought the refs to win the cup@@worldcitizenobjectivethink3764
He was an assist machine at PSG. And scored goals too. His worst is some player's best
I get booing when your team is performing awful but I NEVER understood why a good chunk of PSG ultras booed Messi when he’s LITERALLY playing for your team?
they even booed him in a match psg won which is very weird
They are so butthurt with the world cup.
@@unggading6990 No. He was hired to try to win the champions league and his performance was bad. Actually, he hasn't done anything important since 2015 in the Champions League. from there they began to whistle it in all the games. then the problem continued with the world cup.
@FernandoMartinez-nq8dt Beating on it's own Liverpool was nothing? Almost eliminated PSG on his own away, but Dembele missed all the chances created whith a non existing defence. To give you some examples.

What's amazing is how he put it. Messi and his family are very happy and enjoying futbol, family. When Messi is this way, Nobody can stop him no matter what league he's in.
Can’t believe Laporta and Barcelona BACKSTABBED the GOAT and then PSG ultras treated him bad and took him for granted. Good to see he’s happy in Miami now.
Problem is Messi fans will not see reality for what it is. Just ask yourself why Bayern was afraid of Mbappé and not at all of Messi last season, and you'll understand why PSG Ultras' frustration with Messi was 100% warranted.

I think Messi would’ve signed with Man City had it not been with for Jack Grealish. That was the number 1 club he was ALWAYS linked to if he were to leave Barcelona
Linked only because of Pep though and there was some rumour that the year Messi asked to leave Barca(the year before joining PSG), City offered Barca 200m to release him and they rejected it lol.

@@dlamini77bro it's literally a known fact that city only signed grealish because they thought somehow messi would renew at barcelona. A week later messi left only psg was available

For all you people talking about “Why did Messi go to PSG” it’s because Man City signed Grealish for 100M and PSG were the ONLY club showing SERIOUS interest that could AFFORD his wages.
The reality is that Messi always did what he wanted and at PSG he couldn't do that. In Miami he put together half the team and the coach, he was used to that kind of thing in Barcelona
So he chose money over football? Wow crazy.
@@FernandoMartinez-nq8dt lol, busi + alba= half of the team.
psg has always had issues but yeah of course its messi's fault
A bit correction here. Bartemeo blocked his move to city earlier. Then later they had talks of his contract extension. City signed grealish and at the last moment Barca backed out. Now city ain't gonna spend 100m again are they ? If Barca had told him about the reality of situation Messi could have signed with city. In what world Pep or any other manager in the world takes Grealish over Messi ?

PSG offered him a place to go after he was rejected by Barca, but they didn't realize how important Messi was to a team and didn't give him the respect he deserved. They blamed him for France's loss of the World Cup. That's ridiculous! Sore loser!
Yes!
"blamed him for France's loss" Where did you see that? That's a complete invention of your imagination. Everybody blamed the team performing poorly on the day and starting to play way too late in the match.
Glad France lost the World Cup
Messi's position in PSG was greatly complicated, 'cause Barcelona sacked him off without any warning and the PSG fans could not accept the fact that Messi beat France in the World Cup final.
Why would people that won the world cup in 2018 cry about losing 2022 world in penalties 😭ALSO PSG booed messi after Bayern eliminated PSG
If it was about the world cup messi would have been booed in every stadium in France just like Ronaldo in 2006😭also stop lying Psg fans booed him after madrid eliminated them, and after Bayern Eliminated them..not everything is about the world cup
They never sacked him off. Barcelona just couldn’t afford his large wage’s anymore due to debt and financial fair play in Europe. Messi didn’t want to a substantial pay cut

PSG is just full of jealous teammates. They envy Messi's fame and played against him. Barely saw any passes towards him, especially when he is in a goalscoring position.

I love all his games in psg, Barcelona, even at this inter M love watching him play
Of 98 appearances, Beckham scored 20 goals.
Of 58 games, Zlatan scored 53 goals.
Messi has already scored almost half of Beckham's total goal tally in the MLS in 6 games.
It really has nothing to do with the competitiveness of the league and all to do with the player. Messi is Messi. Period.
Barca couldn’t afford him and he needed game time to be fit for the world cup. Thats all what mattered psg was necessary
But a smart move
As a french from Paris and not a fan of football. I was surprised when Messi went to play at PSG. I thought he was gonna end his carreer here, badly. PSG with all the Quatar money is a spoiled team. Paris is no more the city it was before, for diverse reasons ... I was glad he ended up in Miami. And now I'm watching his new adventure. Farewell to Inter Miami.
Always keep in mind that he actually enjoys playing, it is his eternal muse, a form of calm/flow for him ever since a young age. His sense of competitiveness based in various things but fun is a huge part of it.
Perceptive
Although it would’ve been nice seeing him finish his career out in Barca. It was nice to see him play in another club in Europe in a different situation if only those horrible fans and mismanagement weren’t terrible
Mismanagment? Barca or PSG? Barca is a terrible club, it leaked everything all the time and pushed him out by not offering a contract when he was willing to play for free.. Barca was terrible to not only Messi but a lot of big players.. im so happy he didnt return to that terrible club and again it was only because they chose not to even offer him a contract.. Barca will never be great again, the club is dying..
@@Validboyhe was referring to PSG. As for Barca, I don't follow them closely, but I was surprised how they won La Liga again so quickly after Messi left. But you could be right overall.

@@Validboy I'm afraid I agree with you. Barca betrayed Messi and treated him horribly. There is a photo of Messi when he was all by himself fighting for a very dimished Barca. He is very thin, hunched over and looking ten yrs older. He kept Barca in CL and even won Copa del Rey with them by himself. They exploited him, wouldn't let him leave when he wanted to and threw him out when he wanted to stay. Barca also threw out suarez from one day to the next. They're really bad.

The greatest gift that Messi brings is the pure joy of playing football and it is contagious for this team. Remember he played with Ronaldinho when he was young.
Well said nedum you know football very well
And he still had 20+ goals and 20+ assists I believe the only player in the top 5 leagues to do so granted it’s the French league

Like anyone, if you do something last minute you end up not enjoying the final product. That’s all he was singing this WAS NOT disrespect towards PSG. If in some alternate universe he PLANNED to go there MAYBE he would’ve enjoyed his time more
Imagine only a club (PSG) fans, ultras, the French media and the owners disrespected Messi. And for that, a whole country's football fans pay for it and that too on the basis of Football completely and not on the basis of bad talks or something. That's Messi for u.
