I do auto detailing I'm teaching myself how to tint I always wonder why tint professionals don't use clay bars to clean the window you the first one so far I seen use it awesome
My tips
1. Clean both ends of the trunk and roof.
2. Inspect the inside to see how much you space you have before you cut, some cars have limited space. I use plotter cuts for side windows but front and rear windshield i always hand cut.

I have also seen as soon as it is layed on the glass take a dust brush to the film .It sounds strange but it lays the film out nice and smooth .

Is it better to use a softer squeegee so when u use it horizontally it contours more over the defrost line thickness difference? Always had that doubt. Thnx for any tips on that🙏🏼

As someone who recently started to learn to tint. We use precut designs and yes reverse roll works on precut kits
What type of tape is used for the edge before shrinking ?
Probably masking tape but I've used regular clear tape

“Spray away”, glass cleaner turns tint purple, do not use!! Invisible glass, glass cleaner is the best to use.
